I have nothing but amazing things to say about Rosa! I booked a 75 minute prenatal massage around my 26 week of pregnancy. Prior to booking I was in the phase where everything hurt at the end of the day, I was sleeping awful, and could never get comfortable - so I knew it was time for a good massage. This massage is not your typical soft and enjoyable prenatal massage, like most good massages you know it works if you squeem a couple of times while on the table. Rosa is so AMAZING! I had hip pain for some time now, and I was seeing a chiropractor for it. They would do minor adjustments and had me do daily stretches, which helped a little bit. There just enough good things I can say about Rosa! From her calming office to her tried and true methods I appreciate her more than I words can describe. She's got healing hands and knows exactly how to work your body. I've been seeing her for fertility/Mayan abdominal massage. She doesn't just stick to one way of doing anything. She more so customized each treatment to what your body needs. If you've got strained ligaments affecting your uterus alignment she'll work on that. She spent 90% of the hour consultation trying to sell me supplements and going over the articles she wrote on her blog based on anecdotes, not actual scientific studies. Saying things like how supplements cured one lady's cancer. I understand the importance of vitamins & nutrients but I eat a good diet and take a prenatal vitamin. When I would bring things like that up, she would cut me off and say I need to listen to her in a very confrontational tone. I went there just hoping to feel heard & get some compassion after some bad experiences with doctors. But instead it made me feel silenced and trapped. I tried to be nice and say "I just don't think that's for me" and she would hold her hand up to stop me and continue on talking and talking. Unfortunately a lot of what she shared comes from misinformation, not everything of course, but a lot of it. For example, she would say that the full spectrum of B vitamins were important for fertility, which is true. But then would say that all animals' fertility cycles link up with the lunar cycle, which is not true. I excused myself before the massage portion because I just didn't feel comfortable. She offered a half refund at the time, but the refund never actually processed. So I just felt compelled to share my experience because it was so opposite the other reviews. read more

I have been seeing Rosa for over 3 years. I first started seeing her for painful periods and fertility. Not only did I feel better but I understood what was going on with me. Most masseuses will not take the time to do this and I've had my share. Every time I see her I learn something new. I reached out to her this weekend over text to ask about her availability since I am 39 weeks pregnant and was looking for an appointment either on Monday or Tuesday. She replied with a date and time (not even with a greeting as I am a potential new customer). I agreed to Monday at 6:15pm. I also asked for her office address in a way to confirm our appointment since she was very short on text. However, she never followed up. So, I texted her the day of massage to confirm as I am heading to her office...mind you it's raining! She "liked" my message so I took that as confirmation. I should have know better, but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially after seeing her amazing reviews. When I get to her office, the door is locked. I texted her. No reply. I assumed she's with another client , and I graciously waited (in the rain). I called her but her phone was off and you can't leave a voice message. I texted her again, but no reply. I ended up leaving 15-20 minutes after. I never got a courtesy text or call with explanation or apology. I understand she was her online booking system, but she shouldn't have given me an appointment date and time if she wasn't going to see me. And if payment is needed before confirmation, then she could have instructed me to pay before by either calling or texting me. I would have gladly done it. To me, this was very unprofessional and could have been prevented if she had better communication with potential new customers. read more
