Katie was incredible. She applied the just the right pressure & shared some very valuable tips on self-care during our session (that was very impressive to me because when was the last time your mechanic told you how to repair your own car?). Katie is clearly a caring individual that desires to help others with her special talents, to the best of her ability. Katie offer her my greatest appreciation & my highest regards... Thanks again, Katie. read more

Katie is a very intelligent woman she does her research and you can tell because it's backed up by her work. Thank you so much Katie for taking care our family. You do a wonderful job. You're a very intelligent woman with a lot of information to share and I'm glad we found you. read more

Katie did an amazing job, taught me how to stretch according to my body, and worked wonders on my back and neck. She helped my sore legs and arms feel normal again! Wonderful space and experience! 10/10 recommend! She also caters to each individual very differently and that's important because we all are super different! Thank you Katie! read more

KT has the hands of a saint! Strong and gentle all at the same time. She broke down knots in my body I didn't even know we're there! The beginning of the massage was really deep, but her soothing touch at the end helped relieve so much pain. She released lymphatics and even performed some reiki at the end which was unexpected! Overall, she gave me the kind of massage I've been needing so badly with fibromyalgia and arthritis with the care you'd receive from your sweetest "yoga aunt"! If you're not into deep massages just let her know ahead of time, but if you let her do her thing and I swear you'll be happy!! read more

Katie is amazing. She has magic hands and great techniques. Injury my back 2 weeks ago, I got on her table in pain and walked out feeling great. Her massage is unique in that she utilizes different techniques to rub and massage body parts to strengthen first, then you'll get the traditional relaxing experience to wrap it all up. You do not get off her table until she knows she's done all she can to make your muscles feel good. I highly recommend a visit to her. read more

In a room inside Bellisima Salon, KT transports you to a different place. I had gotten a Groupon thinking I was going to just get a massage, but KT went over a "balancing" segment before the massage. I have to say that I was skeptical at first-- I mean I know about stretching, right?! Uh, wrong. I did NOT know about stretching. The beautiful thing about life is that there is always something to learn, at every age. While KT helped me stretch and extend my range of motion, we talked about life and she opened me up to so many different perspectives and shared her wisdom with me. And it all somehow related back to my massage, such as when I was trying to hold back tears when she went all-in my thigh with her elbows. She told me to let it go and that holding onto such pain was not good for me. That was deep on so many levels, man. Not only did I learn more about my body and how to balance myself, I got a relaxing massage afterwards. She worked hard to loosen my knots and focused on areas I didn't obviously feel were stressed but somehow she knew they were stressed. You get me? KT had said the post-massage effects of other massages only last 2-3 days whereas hers lasts 2-3 weeks. I'm coming onto Week 1 and I have to say that I don't feel as tired, I feel more balanced and that in turn encourages me to continue seeking a balanced lifestyle, and I find myself having more stamina in my workouts. My friend who did the Groupon with me but on another day had reported feeling an improved circulatory system and feeling refreshed as well. I absolutely love KT and would not mind going back without the Groupon. She definitely knows bodies and you'd be surprised with how much she knows yours! read more

From scheduling to pinpointing the massage appointment's exact location, KT was as cordial as she was responsive via call and text. She was especially gracious in accommodating my request to reschedule our original date. At the appointment itself, KT practiced COVID-safe measures, provided clean towels, and washed her hands frequently. I completed a 1-page form describing my physical therapy needs, and we began the session. In the first hour, KT took me through a series of stretches, describing what she was doing and why, with a teaching intention, that I might try the exercises again at home. In the second hour's massage, KT rubbed oils with a familiar aroma into my skin. Though I didn't mention it at the time, the scent unexpectedly called forth latent, warm memories of my grandfather rubbing a similarly scented oil into my temples whenever I had headaches as a small child. KT gave pleasant conversation, detailing her studies and personal mission as a physical therapist. Her professional touch is gentle and strong, and she encouraged prompting for adjustments and questions. I most enjoyed her massaging my shoulders in a manner I'd never experienced by others' hands, when she pressed down in a firm, raking motion that felt appropriately painful, yet provided great relief. I found her advice regarding sleeping position and posture particularly useful, and felt relaxed and physically improved following the session. read more

You can tell that Katie is passionate about what she does. She is a spiritual person and is very in touch with the human body. I felt a lot better after my session with her (physically and mentally). Thank you!!! read more

This review is long overdue! I have chronic neck and back pain that gives me intense headache sometimes, and I decided I've had enough living with this constant pain and actually do something about it. I found Katie by chance and I am so grateful that I did. Within two hours, reasonable price too for my budget, she fixed me tremendously. Not only that, she also taught me how to stretch. I still have chronic pain but way less than the level that it was before I saw Katie. I'm definitely coming back soon! read more

KT is amazing. I had called on a whim.after normal business hours after suffering with a pinched nerve in my neck/scalp for days.. she offered to meet me right away. This is not your girls night out white wine and zen music massage. This woman, despite her small size, knows how to leverage massive strength into your deepest tissues. She is highly skilled, patient, generous and positive natured. I left pain free and the effects of this massage became more apparent in the days that followed and have lasted for months. I will definitely return. read more

I just had my first session with Katie, and felt that I needed to take the time to write this review. I suffer from chronic lower back pain and tightness in my shoulders. After some thorough research on Yelp, I decided to check out Serene Serenity (Katie Feamster). I already had an idea of what to expect (thanks, fellow Yelpers!), but was still pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. So, first things first. Her massage/kinesiology room is located within Foothill Physique Studio, a private gym/physical therapy. When you're driving south on Shamrock, you have to make a right on Fig Ave and go past the locked gate and enter through the first opening of the parking lot. There is ample parking and you enter through the Studio. Once you make your way through the Studio, you come to Katie's quiet, serene massage room with soothing music and the faint scent of essential oils. Katie immediately put me at ease with her open, welcoming presence and calming demeanor. As she took me through each of the stretches and exercises, she expressed deep knowledge of the craft and clearly and patiently explained everything she was doing. I was confident that I was in very capable hands. She even gave me some helpful pointers that I will definitely be practicing on my own, including proper sleep position, effective and instant cramp relief, and even focused stretches/massages I could do with my fiance. Throughout the session, it became apparent that care for the body and entire well-being is her #1 priority, and she definitely did not rush the process. After the full body tune-up, she gave me a deep-tissue massage with cooling lotion and essential oils, I had a little trouble "letting go" at times and tended to tense up (probably because I'm not used to massage), but Katie patiently talked me through it all. She had an almost uncanny sense of the areas of my body that needed extra TLC and gently but firmly worked them. After the session, she gave me some water and advised me to drink tons of water when I got home. I left the studio feeling more grounded/balanced - and, I dare-say, renewed. I would highly recommend making an appointment to see Katie! As others have mentioned, it's not "just" a normal massage; it really is a comprehensive bodywork session and a worthwhile investment in your health and well-being. 5 well-deserved stars for Katie. read more

Katie has the magic touch! She is very knowledgeable of the human anatomy and put it to good use! If you are you looking for relaxation or a therapeutic sports massage, you will be in good hands with Katie! read more

KT is my favorite all around LMT. The effects of her massages last weeks and her pricing is reasonable. There's so many bad massages you can get where you're going to need a massage after the bad massage. Not with KT. I was new to massage last year and wanted to try different kinds and places but I think will be making KT my go to. She is so easy to get ahold of via text and make appointments which is a big plus in my book. Parking is 3 hour limit nearby. She's skilled and knowledgeable and communicates her knowledge well both literally and with her technique. After going to so many other places, KT will be my no. 1 LMT. read more

I went in as my body was very sore from intense working out. She was personable. Right up front she explained her process. After the stretching session she advised that I was better off with a massage and not the body work. I paid in advance for the body work. I would recommend her for your body needs. She is fantastic. read more

Katie has amazing technique and hands. This massage is well worth the price and the overall wellness and wellbeing are amazing. She helps get you in the zen mode to help relax and stretch your muscles. I highly recommend her if you're looking for something that will actually help you heal your aches and pains. read more

Look no further, Katie is the best masseuse! I have known Katie for quite some time. However, when I was in pain, I would call her and she would always make herself available, I appreciated that, she is very kind & caring and always makes sure her clients get the care they need. After my very first appointment let me tell you, I was amazed of her knowledge and her expertise. I've had many massages over the years, but after a massage therapy session from Katie, she blew all of them massage parlors out the water. She's my go to girl! I went in with specific areas that were bothering me, and Katie took her time to ensure she understood all my concerns and made sure that I, not only felt completely comfortable, but ACTUALLY addressed my problem areas with intention. I was sore but feeling so much relief after the session. Thank you, Katie to opening my eyes to quality massage work and for working magic on my neck! Always looking forward to my next therapeutic massage. Your # 1 in my books!! I had been meaning to write this well-deserved, way overdue review, I finally did it! read more

Katie is the best! I set up an appointment with her through ClassPass. She is genuine, skillful and very professional. She educated me by giving me tips on proper body mechanics and body positions that is beneficial for me. Her style is something I've never encountered before and it was pleasantly surprising. She started our session gentle with passive stretching and exercises, then she gradually transitioned to deep massages. I highly recommend her! read more

Thank you Katie for the most wonderful massage ever! I loved the way you make your practice by taking the time to explain the steps you are taking while doing the stretches. I felt so comfortable and relaxed. I stopped listening at one point and then I was snoring, oh well! I was under your powerful spell of "touch,"! I felt I was floating for the three following days. I am ready for a second massage. Namaste KT. read more

I recently went to Katie, intending to get a 'massage' but ended up getting so much more in the bargain! She first did some muscle testing/stretching and working out some of the areas that were super tight [found out I was hurting in places I had no idea I was hurting!] before giving me a nice, relaxing massage. Katie is excellent of describing everything she is going/doing to you and teaching you how to take care of your body in the process of relieving all the muscle tension, etc. I would highly recommend using Katie Feamster! read more

Just had my massage, KT is wonderful. She took her time with me explained all her experience and background. She hit all my tension spots. She also gave me a sample of her kinesiology. I'll be coming back for that. She also did my son who had a couple of muscle spasms and couldn't move his back shoulder because of all the tightness. She took care of him very well. I would highly recommend her she's so kind and sweet. read more

I was able to get a last minute appointment with KT last weekend; I had horrible pain in my upper back and was desperate for relief. Let me tell you, I have had plenty of massages in my life, but never have I learned so much about my body as I did when KT worked on me! She spent a long time with me and gave a great massage! I felt so much better after I left and I can't wait until I get my next massage!! Her prices are more than fair and she is very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend KT!! read more

Would enthusiastically recommend KT for any body work you need done. The level of expertise she gives your massage and body based on your work and daily life is amazing. This is not a recreational relaxation massage found at most spas and resorts. kT prescribes laser focused stretches to improve your range of motion and help your body thrive under whatever stresses or injuries it experiences. The massage was amazing and the day after I can literally feel my blood tingling and muscles thanking me. I initially went to her due to body soreness after completing the fountain to the falls , however I am making time for future visits. She was flexible enough to have an evening appointment available in relatively short notice. The price is an excellent value for what you get. read more

I couldn't be happier with the deep tissue massage. She was such a soulful woman and knew exactly what she was doing! She helped me even with stretches I can do at home or use just in my day to day life. She made me feel really relaxed and comfortable. This was my second massage, but this one really blew me out the park because I went to a hole in the walk where they didn't really pay attention to knots or tightness. The price was great to. Thank you! read more

I met Katie a few months back, during the Monrovia Wine Walk, where one visits, and learns about, the businesses along Myrtle ave. Katie's practice is inside a nice hair salon, in a private room. She was offering a promotional special, so I bought a visit. She's a pleasant, talkative outgoing lady, who has been doing this for many years. My session lasted at least 90 mins (I lost track of the time), and she gave a very good massage. I'd definitely go back, and recommend one give her a try. Mike M. - Pasadena read more

Katie is a skilled and caring therapist. I highly recommend her.

My session with KT was great! She has vast knowledge of the body and spirit and is willing to share it. She taught me techniques that I can use at home to combat discomfort and stress. The stretching session is invaluable and you will feel the difference. She is very relatable and congenial, we talked about various things pertaining to our lives (physically and emotionally). I had a balancing/massage session with Katie on 6-30-18, I was having trouble with my right leg and hip and was leaving the next day for New York and needed to get thru the airport without the support of knee braces. I have been able to enjoy my vacation pain free, my hip is so much better. I am going to do these sessions on a regular basis because I really need to take care of myself especially now since I just turned 70 years old. I have know Katie for several years and have had several massages but now I am going to do this on a regular basis. She is going to be part of my regular routine. I highly recommend Katie to take care of your body and get you back into the things you thought you could not do anymore. I would give her 10 stars if I could. Louise M. 7-3-18 read more

I bought a Groupon for a 90 minute massage. What I was provided with, was a 60 minute "kinesiology" and "reflexology" stretch, with clothes on, while I was educated about how to "take care of my body". I was told, "first we're going to do some stretching" (which lasted for over 60 minutes, then I was provided with a 30 minute massage (clothes off) with ICY HOT! In addition, I had called and clarified that I was 7 months pregnant, and was informed that she would be able to provide me with a "pregnancy massage". Being pregnant, I am not allowed to lie on my back for long amounts of time due to the possibility that the baby could lose oxygen (pretty common knowledge for people that are pregnant or practitioners working with pregnant people) . I laid on my back for 80 minutes of the session, and when I brought up that I am not allowed to lay on my back, she told me "I was never told that when I was pregnant". I paid for a 90 minute relaxing massage, not a 60 minute stretching session while being talked to about her personal life, the power of prayer, and lessons on how to sleep better, walk better, etc etc. If I could give negative stars, I would. read more

Katie is an all-star what a wonderful person and very knowledgeable about the human body. I went in to get worked on for some neck pain that I had been struggling with for a few months now and she ended up going through my whole body and working out the kinks. She was very informative about bad posture and causes of the pain as well as recommending stretches that I could do on my own to continue my healing. I will definitely be coming back. read more
