I cannot recommend Faith enough. It was my first time going to her and I've been to many massage therapists beforehand. I knew about her through the gym Ultraflex fitness. It was a great first time experience. I went to her for my shoulder I injured as well as a work injury in my low back. She's very attentive to what you tell her and her work is impeccable. Located inside of Foothill Gym! Malie Massage is great for two main reasons. 1 - If your a local and member of Foothill Gym (yes for me), Faith (owner of Malie Massage) is located right there! She doesn't care if you've showered or just finished a workout. She just wants to work. I personally prefer showering before any massage, I feel bad for stinking :P 2 - If you are not getting the massage you want, Faith is open to professionally communicate and do the style that fits you. This is why she advertises Custom Massages. Each person has different aches, pains, body types. FOR EXAMPLE: I really enjoy a rough back massage with forearms. Faith was not used to that, but she picked it up in the first session I had asked this. She not only picked it up but created her own style with it. Great job! Massage Room: Since she was offered a room to do massages, this room has had a huge makeover. Before and after pictures would be a huge difference. She has effectively created a piece of tranquility in this space, for her clients. I could feel her passion for having a beautiful space to use for her clients to really relax. She did it, it's very relaxing in there. Complimentary Service: Aroma Therapy has been generously added to each massage, without asking. Parking: Parking Lot is available behind the structure. IF that is full, parking along the street (S Primrose Ave) or the plaza across the street is available. Overall Service: Faith is customizable, open to hearing how you relax from massage. This makes it well worth her asking price, once she adapts to your preferred style. It is much more enjoyable to have a massage therapist who learns to work with their clients, Faith does that. The worst type of massage therapist is one who doesn't listen to their clients. In my opinion, Faith does not do that and her client's are top priority. She definitely wants each and every client to have a great experience. I personally go once a month for maintenance, as the price is high for me. I would recommend to have massage once a week, but I don't personally have that kind of cash.. yet :) Recommendation: Her specialty seems to be -Pin-pointing with elbow, great for kneading out those pesky knots. -Great massage between the neck (T1 of spine) to the back of head (occipital bone). This is her finisher and you could actually fall asleep after it, but you have to get out for her next client haha. -Assisted stretching if you also need that. -Communicate Communicate Communicate, this is key to customizing your massage. I couldn't recommend Faith more! She's been blessed by the Gods with the hands and the way she works your body. I personally ask her to beat me up because I put my body through the wringer. Best massage I've ever had. Usually I never understand the point of a massage - light rubbing, occasionally they hit something therapeutic but most of it isn't. Faith really knew her physiology, talked to me thoroughly to find out what was happening, wasn't afraid to get in there hard if needed, and all of it felt like it was working things out that really needed to be worked out. Nothing worst than being in pain and knowing you just don't want any massage. Even deep tissue massage won't work. You need someone that understands how you got hurt. You need someone that understands, you need therapy to fix you asap so your normal routine can continue. Faith....you have been one of my top masseuse I've ever had. I can safely say I've had over 100 different masseuse's in my life. My back feels tons better. I can't thank you enough!
