We wanted to see this awesome statue, because Dublin has lots of amazing public art, and Leatherlips is one of them. But there is so much more to Scioto Park. This is one of the main public parks in Dublin, and it's the site of outdoor concerts in the summer and sledding in the winter. There are also nature trails, a playground, picnic shelters, lots of grassy areas, and places on the trail where you can view the Scioto River, which runs through the park. We also stumbled upon a cute statue diorama of a turtle and a beaver. My kids are obsessed (literally obsessed) with beavers, so when we accidentally came across a beaver statue hidden in the brush, they lost their little minds. You can find these statues near the parking lot.

Nearby is a solar picnic pavilion that generates solar power and offers great shade and picnic tables to take a break from all of the fun. There's a large pond near the parking lot, a memorial located behind the municipal buildings and police department, and winding paved paths that take you around to all of the sights and sounds of the park. The parking lot is good sized and offers some EV charging stations.

Putting rocks to step on to keep out of water is not a good idea as there are a lot of seniors who visit this park and if you continue this habit you will probably be paying for some broken bones. who ever thought that was a good idea. This is a really nice park along the Scioto River. It is listed on both the Dublin and Columbus…read morePark websites, so there was initially a little bit of confusion, but we had success with following the Dublin one (Dublin lists it as Kiwanis Riverway Park at 6245 Riverside Dr, while the Columbus site has it as Riverway Kiwanis Park at 6345 Riverside Dr - the signage we found onsite matched the Dublin listing). The land is owned by Columbus, but the park is maintained by Dublin. To access the park, you pull into an area that also leads down into an office complex. There is a small parking area directly across from the marked trailhead. The trail itself is a combination of paved and boardwalk, although there are also some worn down dirt areas that get you closer to the river. If you enter through this signed trailhead area, you will find a fork in the road. The one to the right takes you on a paved walking trail that ends with a staircase that takes you back up to the street level. The fork to the left takes you towards the boardwalk area, which has a number of little streams and a nice little forested area. There is a ton of waterfowl and birds throughout, and a lot of interesting plants and trees to enjoy, as well. The noise of the animals and river helps provide a calming atmosphere, despite the proximity to the roads. This is well worth a visit!

There is plenty of greenspaces for whatever activity you may want. It is handicap accessible, with the paved sidewalks. There's a paved walkway that takes you up to the top, which gives you a good view of the area and an opportunity to get a closer look at the art. There are usually many people at the park when the weather is nice. There also are many dogs, some of whom enjoy a dip in the water. Outside of the walking trail, there are tennis courts, basketball courts and soccer fields. There also is a field house.

The answer to this is being patient. Drive down and find the 'lower' parking lot, jump out and wander under the freeway overpass and that's when you go... 'holy cow, this is gorgeous!!' The lake is so pretty, the paths are well marked. This would be a go to spot during the fall color changes as the reflections off the lake would be pretty much what dreams are made of. Lots of space on walkway that goes all the way around the lake so you never feel crowded. Shows like 1.3miles but I'd guess closer to 2.0 miles but it's all pretty much flat and groomed. If you're ever in this area, plan a good walk with your significant other, put your phone in your pocket, hold their hands and just talk about how amazing your life is with them in it. I often participate in Metroparks Winter Hike programs, and had to visit this location in the evening after work. Often being accompanied by my dogs, I felt completely comfortable hiking in this intimate welcoming park solo.

One of Columbus is smaller metro parks, this little park has a very nice paved loop. It also has a…read morepark office with limited hours as I found out today when I was there to get my winter hike series card punched and it was locked. I still enjoyed myself and took two loops around the curvy trail with very slight inclines and declines. There's a large play area for kids and a caboose set up on rails. The bench in the middle of nowhere Demanded it's picture be taken and I actually sat there quietly for a few minutes. It was very restorative I would return to this park to walk my dog on the loop.

Playing fields, shelters, plenty of parking, etc. But of course we were here for the playground…read more (There are two, actually, the big central one and another almost as big on the north end at the cul-de-sac. We were worn out by the time we saw that.) The main playground by the shelter and the service building is big, with multiple areas, and is accessible for almost anyone- stairs on several sides, and a level access off to the right. There's a music machine, always popular. Lots of climbing stuff and slides. Some games. Musical areas, mazes, balancing stuff, and more. Shades on the top of most of it, though the slides can get hot. Also plenty of benches, though no shade for those. Dublin has a lot of good parks. This is right up there. Worth a detour if you have kids.
