This nice little park is located just north of the Everal Barn and Homestead event area. It features a paved pathway, which also connects it to the Everal Barn area, and if there's no event going on, you can use that to extend your stroll. There's a lot of signage around the various buildings, outhouses, barn, etc that explains the area and history. The signage is a little bit faded, but there's a handy printable brochure available on their website too that gives the information.
In the Heritage Park area, the paved trail leads around the sports fields, and around a small wooded area and a nice little wetland, which also features a faded sign about the importance and purpose of wetlands. Alum Creek also runs nearby.
There's a nice little playground near the sports fields, and a shelter area with picnic tables and restrooms, which signage indicated was open during the warmer months.
A nice place to visit! read more
