An "interesting" hike to say the least through a developing area I did not know existed. Great time exploring every inch of the park and got about 6.5-7 miles in. It is still under construction but some pretty cool scenery, some intense rock climbing if that's your thing, as well as a sledding hill. Very high end condos going in all around the area, so not exactly a nature hike but should be fun to drop into a restaurant/brewery once the area is completed.

Such a lovely addition to Columbus parks! Quarry trails just opened, snd while they will be making many additions, there is still plenty to see... & with the long line of cars to get in, you can tell that many people are! There are mountain bike trails and paved trails throughout the park. I always appreciate loop trials, and there is a 1 mile loop trail, but you could go off from the loop and make your walk/run longer if you'd like. There are a few small lakes, the river, and a nice waterfall all on the property. There were rangers helping people park, and they were handing out maps as well. Aside form construction, the only thing lacking right now we're waste baskets for pups. There was a ports potty on the trail, and I saw many pet owners throwing their bags in there since they didn't have anywhere else to put them. I'm sure that'll be fixed soon, but what a great park to visit and watch blossom!

It's open! The latest metro park is fabulous! Construction is still underway, with some sections marked for future development, but there's still plenty to check out. Milliken Falls has both an overlook deck near the parking area and a trail with large stone steps that take you down to the lower access. Paved trails and bridges take you around the lake area. One section has a nice boardwalk with benches that give you a nice way to relax right near the water. Play equipment is being put in, though it is currently blocked off. The other section that is currently open is the mountain biking area, which you can either follow the trails to or it has its own parking. This is located near the active quarry site. There are several parking lots available, but it has been busy. Friendly rangers and park staff have been available with maps and answers.

Who would've guessed it would be sunny and 60 degrees in December. That made for a perfect day to stroll in Columbus's new Quarry Trails metro park. We initially attempted to park at the North entrance but there were too many people so no spaces opened up. This end has the mountain bike area. It looked nice from afar. Also, the views of the quarry were impressive from the car. We headed down the road to the south entrance. It was a little hard to find. This and it's closer to the lake. We found a parking spot and headed towards the waterfalls. There was a really nice trail and a children's play area. Lots of people were out walking with their dogs and families. There are adequate areas to sit as well as many Porta potty's.

Beautiful new park that is still transition. It will be an adventure once all complete. That being said, it already is a sight to behold and experience. There are mountain bike trails for various expertise levels. Waterfall features with access upper and lower. Lakes with docks equipped for canoe/kayaks as well as wheelchair accessible. I walked for 5 miles today just enjoying the sights while decompressing from the week Highly recommend! Can't wait for the climbing wall and other things to come in

Beautiful newer metro park on Columbus' NW side. Come here to see the beautiful waterfalls, fish or kayak on the lake, or check out some folks showing some awesome skills on the mountain bike trail. Nice park, located on the site of an old limestone quarry. The park is divided into three easy to reach sections. You can easily walk from the falls to the lake; mountain biking is about 1/4 mile away. Nothing remote about the lake, it overlooks zillions of new luxury apartments/condos... Oh well, it is a METRO park!! Enjoy!!

Very nice views. Good walking paths. Not super large so if you're biking you may want to go elsewhere.

I enjoyed checking it out, but did not like it as much as the other metro parks I have visited. It felt very "built" rather than just being out in nature. The new construction of multi unit apartments and condos in the park just makes it lose something for me. The waterfall is pretty and the multi purpose trail is nice for a walk or bike ride.

We have visited all the metro parks including the newest, Quarry. The area is still in development with hotel and luxury apts. nearby. Seems more recreational area than "park". More pavement than trees. Happy that it's winter because summer could be brutal. Dogs were welcome. But "no bikes" sign was posted. Not our favorite, but the Quarry adds a uniqueness to this metro park.

This place is going to be a fantastic addition to the Columbus Metroparks system. It's a work in progress and offers some good walking trails. There are also mountain biking trails. We went on a super cold day, there are plenty of birds in the trees and brush, if you're into bird watching. There's also plenty if ice, so watch your step. Definitely worth checking out!

Accessed from Scioto-Darby bordering its north, the park is tucked between neighborhoods, fields, and golf courses. Mark K. mentioned in his review circa 2015 that there was no easy bike connection between Homestead park and here. In the five years since that weakness has been rectified with an off-road bike path running down Lappert Rd. This is the way I cycled here. Just turn south from the Heritage Trail, left at the round-a-bout at Darby, and cross the street into the bike access. The park was eerily silent for the sunny summer Saturday I visited on my ride. Normally you'd expect the place to be jumping on such a gorgeous day, but the pandemic has damper things. Connected to that fact, the public pool here is closed for the year. Normally, the Family Aquatic Center, as it is called, would be full of swimmers using its leisure pool, sports pool, lazy river, slides, and children sections. Now it has a weird, abandon amusement park feel, with the rides sticking up like ruins over the wall, and ghostly echoes of screams, laughs, and splashes that should be here coming to mine in the quiet. What I call a 'sports park' the grounds hold fields for baseball/softball, lacrosse, soccer, and disk golf. Basketball courts and tennis are of course are found, as well as horseshoe ring. There is a small amphitheater and a large sledding hill half-mooning the grounds like a Native American mound. There are some art park landscaping here, especially near the fishing pond, a rustic body split by a wood bridge. There are several shelter houses here to rent. The running/riding trail isn't all that great, but it does breeze through the heart of the park. There are several connectors that leads to and from the surrounding neighborhoods. There is also a rustic food garden found here. On the east is a Veterans Memorial garden with colorful flowers, waving flags, and reflective stones ingrained with locals who gave the ultimate price. In all a good city park with lots of amenities, easy access, and just enough artwork to give it character.

It's almost a SIN to be indoors this time of the year, so as soon as the indoor stuff was over, I googled nearby parks and decided to check out Duranceaux. Small(ish), clean, quiet, scenic, right on the river, with just a few people walking their dogs, playing on the playground, and flying kites, what more could you ask for?? There is a nice looking educational facility available for groups on one end of the park and what appears to be an OSU boathouse on the other end. If you're from this area, maybe you're already away of this great, tucked away, "secret" spot, but I got the feeling even a few locals might not know it's there. Worth checking out... ENJOY!!

The long drive down has plenty of picnic tables, etc., but not many spots to park. The playground is small, but nice. Right near a shelter, with a lot nearby. Shade and benches handy for the grownups. There's a big building that looks like a lodge house, where a wedding was going on. Signs say there is an "education center"- may just be a nature trail? It's south of the playground somewhere. A great resource for the community, and worth a return for more than just the playground.
