First time trying. I got the corned beef Reuben. I had it made on marble rye. Really wanted a hoagie roll but when I asked it was a $1 more for a four inch piece. ?????? Stopped at Ferrettis Market in Brewster today. As soon as I walked in I noticed a difference. And not a good one. The guys at the meat counter/deli were rude and just sleazy. The meat/chicken did not look good. The floor behind the meat counter was filthy. In fact the whole store was dirty. I asked the question "new owners?" The woman at the front of the store said yes. I answered "I can tell." She said is it better?. I answered "It's worse" I told her your store is dirty! She said where? I said the whole store. I walked out. I'm soooo disappointed. Please change the name to Patel or whatever but don't use the good name of Ferretti as you are no where close to the store they ran. Stopped there to get sandwiches for the beach. Excellent choice of sandwiches and very high quality meats and vegetables, choice of breads, etc. I also saw the meat counter for steaks, burgers, etc and it looked very nice too. A good stop if you're planning a barbecue. read more

This is my family's 23rd year vacationing in Brewster. Ferretti's Market was always a staple. A one stop shop for everyday items from fresh baked cookies to massive pre-beach sandwiches. However, the recent previous reviews are spot on. I specifically noticed it last year, and was told the market was under new ownership. The quality has plummeted, and prices have sky rocketed. Sandwiches that you could barely fit your mouth around (and that used to come with a complementary bag of chips), are now scrapped to bare bones ingredients. Two packages of 'fresh baked cookies' that we bought taste a week old. Not to mention it's almost impossible to be greeted with a hello or friendly smile from the new staff. It's incredibly disappointing that Ferretti's went from a place that I would recommend to everyone, to somewhere that I wouldn't waste my money or time in. A fun place to shop (see pictures) and their meats are fantastic (especially the London broil roast beef). There are so many different brands to choose from. I felt like they decided to offer all the brands of "things" they really liked. So eclectic. Bought a bottle of Cabernet 2017 for $11.99. Haven't tried it yet, but if it's good, that's a real deal. Haha could be they bought and offered it in 2018, but no one bought it cause of covid, so it's still there. I don't care as long as it tastes good. I'll add to the post when I try it. read more

3 months ago the once really good market changed hands and unfortunately for the people of Brewster it's not good at all. The once fresh sandwiches are now low end meats and soggy produce. The store is dirty and sloppy. A once full parking lot is now empty. Personally I wouldn't feed this food to my dog. To be honest I'm upset with the old owner for sticking it to the people of Brewster. I don't give a lot of negative feedback but I have nothing good to say about this transition of ownership. New ownership -apparently the previous owners ( of 40 plus years or so ) did not have the respect nor courtesy of telling their employees that this took place until 1 day prior to the buy out. I went today to check out the new situation. None of the former employees were there. ( were they fired by the new owners???) The prices are outrageous. They were very short staffed and did not seem to know much about their new place of business. This was sad, it used to be a better place. read more

I ordered two sub sandwiches to go, one was to be on a gluten free bun which they said they had. The gluten free was a turkey club no mayo and clearly written on the bag. Instead I got a regular roll . I got very sick later and when I called the next day all I got was an apology nothing more. Since new ownership has taken over the quality of food has declined. You could get a sandwich there and have it 2 days in a row it was so big and stacked with meat for $8.00. I just ordered a turkey, lettuce and tomatoes on a sub roll, I received a single piece of cheese cut in 1/2, 1 piece of lettuce with a tiny sliver of tomato on the smallest roll. No turkey in my sandwich and they charged me $10.00. I had a friend pick it up and when we opened it I was very disappointed. They obviously didn't understand me. The manager Gina has sent him home after arrival from his shift, screwed up his schedule and begged him to cover regularly as they can't keep employees. They never take down the "Help Wanted" sign? This is a great little market to get you essentials and a nice cut of meat and a few snacks when you don't want to haul yourself to Harwich or Orleans to go to the big market. With a beautiful produce section, to boot Ferretti's is a great little asset to this corner of Brewster. I also appreciate how friendly and eager to help the staff is. Never once have a I encountered a grumpy or unfriendly person who works here, and I think that speaks to the management and over all quality of the place. Their meats are really lovely, so if you're looking to grill or roast, I would highly recommend you come here and either place and order for a larger crowd or pick your items day-of for a really great meal. read more

I've been a steady, year-round customer for decades. We give the butchers a generous Christmas gratuity each year. Love their stuffed pork chops but can no longer buy them; sold out daily. Asked if they were available perhaps early morning, mid-morning and asked if they would put a couple aside and I'd pick them up. Begrudingly they agreed to save two for pick-up the next day at 3pm. Made it clear that anytime would work; whenever they were ready. The next day at three, no one knew anything about them. They are rude, have antiquated credit card machines, embarass those who use EBT cards and yes, it's dirty. Tried again today but the lines were out the door and around the building. It used to be a very good market years ago but it seems to have since gone down hill. I recently stopped-in for some cold cuts. It was early, so, no crowds. I placed my order and asked for them to be sliced "thin". When I got home I discovered "thickly" sliced colds cuts. I would add, although I used "please" and "thank you" to the person cutting the cold cuts, they didn't respond at all. They just handed me some poorly cut deli meats. I have to agree with another reviewer who mentioned the "cleanliness" of the meat area - it does not look clean. I was a regular customer but I'll likely shop elsewhere. I loved the small town feel of this little market ! Delicious spinach cheese croissants that we were all fighting over at lunch. Lots of yummy , ready to eat homemade dishes and the prices were very reasonable for a small shop . Every person I spoke with was friendly and helpful . I ordered a fresh turkey there for Thanksgiving, some homemade gravy and a delicious strawberry rhubarb pie which I first tasted at a friend's this summer ! I met the owner at the register when I decided to go back in to buy some chowder ( which the kids loved) for tonight's dinner and she was very accommodating. Yesterday my friend and I drove 20 minutes to this store to buy sandwiches for lunch. We've heard they make good sandwiches. To be fair, the sandwiches we ordered were delicious. So why the one-star rating? This is because of the rudest service we ever have received from this woman behind the deli counter (wish we could've gotten her name). I told my friend that I want the Route 124 wrap and a turkey cobbler sandwich for herself. The menu that is hanging at their deli counter does not indicate if you can choose a kind of wrap or bread. My friend started to order my wrap and the woman started yelling at her about what kind of wrap? She didn't even give her a choice. So when I came back from picking my drink, the woman again asked me what kind of wrap? So I asked her what are the choices? Then she rolled her eyes and at this point, she was so annoyed with us. I wonder why? The customers before and after us were treated nicely so what's up with that? We were both upset so my friend told the cashier what happened and she gave us this lame excuse that the woman is just tired. Total BS! Everybody works and some of us really work hard but it's no excuse to lash out at people just because you're tired! We're paying customers too so we should be treated equally like everyone else. Do not visit Ferretti's if you're in a rush. After ordering 3 sandwiches from the deli section, my family and I waited for over 30 minutes before we received our food and were able to pay. The 2 employees making sandwiches were clearly over their head and seemed aloof to the inconvenience, moving at a snails pace. It wasn't until I brought the wait time to the manager's attention, that the staff began operating with a sense of urgency. At this point the line for sandwiches was almost 10 people long. Walked here with my mom for some sandwiches for lunch. I got the turkey gobbler which was very good on the fresh French banquette. My mom got a gluten free wrap which is nice they have it but they charge 2 dollars extra for it. Like some of the reviews said below service is kinda slow and as I was waiting for my mom I noticed and older generation that consistently went in and left this market. No shame in that! I got the Ferretti supreme which is basically Italian meats on a nice Italian roll. I was full after eating 2/3 of it. The sandwich descriptions are written on Boar's Head signs, but I don't know how they could make a profit if that's what they are using. read more

Service times seem completely dependent on your timing; I recently ordered two custom sliced deli items and two sandwiches and was in and out in 10 minutes. Deli quality is high and they stack the meat high. Interesting and tempting selection of 'grab-n-go' items as well, even during this bizarre time. As for how your interaction goes...I'd say that if you are cheery and patient, you're likely to be treated in a like manner. read more
