He doesn't charge anything for coming out to look at the job that you are concerned about. His value is much lower than many area services. And his quality is phenomenal! We've had them out to help with a toilet reinstallation, get advice on a new sink that had to be put in and NEW updated faucets to go with it. Rob went so far as giving us his personal phone number to call when we picked out different drop in sinks. He let us know that we would get a better discount if we went shopping ourselves, but gave us advice along the way. Each time he is here he's quick with service and gets the job done. Most recently we had a leak in a pipe in our basement and he fixed that in under 15 minutes. I then realized that there was no water coming from one of our sinks afterwards although the toilet was working fine in the same bathroom and all the water in that rest, the house was fine. He came back the next day in the morning and worked on the issue and charged us nothing for it. Part of it was just a safety precaution on the sink but another part he cleaned out and still chose to charge us nothing. I highly recommend them as a business. They were having a little bit of an issue with their phones so Bob gave me his personal cell phone to call anytime needed. If you don't get a call back the same day please call again.

I was robbed of my time and money. The plumber that was sent charged me $200 to open my living…read moreceiling because water was leaking from my bathroom from the upper level. The money wasn't the problem- it's what the plumber said to me. He didn't want to tare up the drywall in the laundry room, which is next to the bathroom where the leak was coming from. There was a musty smell coming from the laundry room so it made sense to me that he should remove the drywall. He didn't want to do it, but it was okay to pull a few pieces of drywall from the ceiling and charge me $200. When he opened up the ceiling, the same musty smell was coming through the ceiling. He said, "this smell is really bad, I need to get out of here." I think your problem is the tub. He referred a water mediation company to do some mediation work since a part of the ceiling was saturated. He had the audacity to say, "The water mediation company will be able to diagnose the problem. We will come back to fix it if you want us to." Are you serious? I called Kinnett, a plumbing company, to get a diagnosis and fix the problem. He was either incompetent or just didn't want to do the job. In all fairness, the company offered to send someone else after the mediation work was done. I didn't want to risk getting another lazy or incompetent plumber so I called Reddick and Sons. They sent a seasoned plumber who determined the problem after the mediation company removed the drywall in the laundry room. It turns out that I need a diverter.

I recently had a great experience with Atlas Home Services plumbing that I wanted to share. After…read morenoticing a leak from my water heater, I called around to several plumbers. All of them did an online assessment and then immediately insisted my whole unit needed replacement at a steep price of $4,000-$6,000. I then called Atlas Home Services and spoke with David Stone, the manager, for a quote on replacing the water heater. Rather than push for an expensive replacement right away, David asked me some questions and said he didn't think the issue was with the tank itself. He offered to send one of their technicians to assess before ordering any new equipment. The Atlas technician, Kevin, came out and within a couple minutes of diagnosing the water heater, said I just needed to replace the pressure valve and expansion tank. I was skeptical at first but Kevin was confident in his findings. I ordered the $100 in parts from Amazon. I called Atlas again and Kayleen, a pleasant customer service rep, scheduled Kevin's return for installation. He got the parts installed within thirty minutes for $100 in labor fees. It has now been overthree weeks since the repair and I have had no further leaks! I would definitely recommend Atlas Home Services to anyone needing plumbing work. We noticed some water leaking into the pan and Jacob, who was great, determined that we had to have one 5gal Expansion Tank and two Temperature and Pressure Relief Valves replaced. Where the problem comes in, is the outrageous pricing. They charged us aprox. $700 labor for a 1 hour job. The total time of the whole job with the consult was about two hours. With half that time being used chasing parts. He said that he didn't have the parts on the truck and had to go to both Lowes and Home Depot to find a tank. Not really my problem and I really don't think it's fair to include that time in my overall job. But, nonetheless they don't break it down. He just gave me an overall estimate of the job which was $914 after a $50 coupon. I asked him if it was a pretty fair price for the area, he said yes and I told him to go ahead and do it. I do take some responsibility in the fact that I didn't look through the iPad estimate myself and I assumed it was a fairly timely project. To my surprise, it took about 45 minutes from the time he walked into the basement with parts and was leaving my house. I was kind of left dumfounded at why a 45 min job cost so much, so I looked up the price of the actual parts. On the high end they would have cost about $200. So basically, I was charged $700 in labor for 45 total minutes of work. I called to speak to them about it afterwards and they explain some sort of overall job price that they use. They charge everyone the same whether your job takes 45 minutes or 4 -5 hours. I wasn't explained this or I would have looked for a second opinion. I thought I would be charged a fair price for MY specific job. That's not how they work I guess. I'm not naive to the fact that they have to factor in other costs, but that's just egregious in my opinion. So my recommendation is to get a SECOND opinion. Don't trust that it's a fair price like I did. I won't be recommending them on any review or my neighborhood FB page and will only caution people who ask.
