Ferrari offers valet parking if you can't find a street spot. The service was great and the wine is cheap. I cant say much about the food... the menu is huge and all I could think about was Robert from restaurant impossible being pissed about too many options. The presentation of the fried ravioli was nice... having the option to dip the ravioli in pesto or red sauce was the highlight of my meal. I ordered the dorado fish- it was extremely dry. I'm glad that I had a Caesar salad on the side to use the dressing as substance. My friend ordered chicken Marsala. It had a glaze on the chicken but the mushroom sauce was mediocre at best. We walked past a handful of places and took a random shot at a meal here -- and boy are glad we did!! The atmosphere is great. We were greeted warmly and sat immediately, even though there were other guests. Then, as we were waiting for our drinks, the owner came out and introduced himself and his wife, Ferrari. He's Argentinian-born and she's from Italy, so they started this amazing little restaurant with all their favorite dishes. Hearing the owner describe the menu, it was clear he takes personal responsibility -- and pride-- in the offerings. When the meals came, we were blown away. The flavors were balanced and complementary. It felt like going to a friends house for dinner. We chose to eat on the street (which was great) and enjoyed the warm carribean breeze one more time before we fly to Chicago. One of the best meals we had in Puerto Rico, for sure. Flank steak was like butter and enough on its own. Veal milanese was perfect.So large in fact that the owner have me focaccia and tomato and mustard soni eat it for lunch today! Fries were crisp and hot The Dolce delice was delicious. Local rum was full of vanilla and caramel and took no prisoners. Port was classic way to end. I have not eaten better in NYC even at Celeste! Nice small restaurant with excellent staff. The food was just ok, and not really Italian. First, it is clear they cook/boil all of their pasta without salting the water. We were three customers, we each ordered a different pasta preparation and all immediately asked for salt. All their preparations were BLAND. We ordered shrimp scampi, chicken marsala and cannelloni. The scampi was an ODD PREPARATION, it included a significant amount of rough diced green peppers and tomatoes. The flavor was dominated by the green peppers, not garlic that is traditionally Italian. The sauce on the marsala preparation was oily, thick and seperated. The pasta was an garlic-oil preparation that was too oily. My cannelloni was over-baked, then covered in a "white" sauce. The stuffing of spinach and cheese was delicious, but the pasta shells were tough and the sauce too thick. Only one of the three of us finished our meals. Considering the cash cost, the overall experience was way too expensive. This restaurant needs to revisit their Italian recipes. They may appeal to local taste, or it may market itself as "nouveau Italian", but it is far from classic/traditional Italian cuisine. read more

The pizza was small, but the ingredients were hearty. A large was the size of a normal medium, but the price was that of an extra large.

We were looking for something different and closer to our hotel. Ferrari Gourmet came up in several search engines. This place had delicious food! Try the all beef meatballs--they have a great flavor. The salads are big enough for one and a half people. We had the spinach cannelloni and the baked pasta topped with mozzarella and a pizza. Too much food (except for the teenager who never met a pie he couldn't finish). But save room for the crepes! Ultra yum. read more

They gave us a small bowl of olives as a complimentary appetizer- I ate them all because my husband doesn't dig olives. We each ordered a personal pan pizza for dinner, and both pies were terrific. I had wonderful flavor bursts in my mouth from the various seasonings they used on my pie. I ordered a coffee to drink and they actually served it to me after someone on the staff did some coffee art and made my coffee a happy smiley face. This is an Argentinian-Italian place with a large menu and very friendly atmosphere with pretty good food, too. We had the bruschetta, which was more like a tomato/bell pepper pizza (it had cheese on top that was baked in) than a typical cold tomato on crostini type of bruschetta. It was honestly very filling for an appetizer. I had the linguine with pesto which was nice--note that they do a walnut pesto rather than a pine nut pesto here. And the caesar salad which had nice freshly made croutons on it but was a tad overly dressed. My dinner buddy had the Argentinian style pizza with onions, olives, and bleu cheese. We've never had anything like it before! Our server warned us that there are a LOT of onions but they do cook and get real sweet in the oven and it was honestly quite pleasant. Don't get greedy and order a medium size pizza by the way, the dough is thick and even if you're hungry a personal size will do just fine. read more

Our experience began with a warm greeting as we entered to immediate seating and our drink order taken and delivered to us in a flash. Our first impressions were spot on and we continued to be impressed with this establishment. Not only were the employees delightful - but the food was fantastic. Best. Empanadas. Ever. My fiance and I stumbled upon this restaurant while staying at the Intercontinential down the street. Both pizza and Argentine food sounded good to me, even though it also sounded like a strange combo, so we set out to try to find this place. It took us awhile, but it was in a small complex on the left side of the road headed towards Old San Juan. Keep in mind, the pin on the map is wrong and it is actually further in the direction of OSJ than it shows. By the time we got there it had started pouring and we were one of the few parties at the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer platter and a pizza. All the food was extremely flavorful - we fell in love with the empanadas - and the service was very nice. Beware that the appetizer sampler is HUGE! We could have just split that and some drinks and been comfortably full, but instead we had pizza leftovers (no complaints!) This is a spot worth checking out especially if you want a big of a change from the typical Puerto Rican food. read more

Went to Ferrari on advice of a local client...great tip! They have Argentinianentrees, and even Argentinian pizza made with chorizo and churrasco. Great little joint where everything is homemade. I have the chicken empanadilla and an Argentinian beer (Quilmes). Delicioso! For an entree I had the Baby Churrasco and Chorizo with salad as my side. It was all perfectly cooked, authentic and tasty. Even their personal vinaigrette was awesome. Service was also terrific. In PR many restaurant have slow and inattentive service, but these folks do it right. I am delighted by by client's recommendation...maybe a discount is even in order! read more

The entire dining experience was great at Ferrari Gourmet. This was hands down the best meal we had while in Isla Verde Puerto Rico. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. It has a very casual ambiance but you definitely feel like it will be a special meal. Lots of locals were dining and having wine at the wine bar. This is not just a pizza joint at all. The steak was great. The food was delicious, from appetizers to the amazing dessert of tres leches crepes! Definitely try them! The servers were all lovely and the owner came out to ask us about our meal. She wanted us to try a bean dish, so she brought a little for us to taste. It was the best bean dish we have ever had anywhere. BE WARNED-Google maps and Apple maps will not give you the right location. It is on the west side of Isla Verde past the Cemeterio Puerto Rico Memorial. It is about 1 mile from the San Juan Water Beach Club hotel. It was a pleasant 20 minute walk.
