The nurse also ignored me when I called back expressing problems of bad bleeding and sever pain that caused me to lose consciousness and a high fever on more the one occasion. She also placed my new IUD in wrong. After I had the new IUD put in I blead very heavily for about 3 1/2 weeks and the pain got worse, bleeding through super plus tampons and pads. She convinced me the pain and bleeding was normal even though I did not experience this when I had it in the first 10 years. On and off I had signs of infection random fever and chills, sever pain in the abdomen, shortness of breath, nousea, fast heartbeat, & frequent UTI's that is not common for me. 8 months later I got pregnant with the new IUD in and lost the baby which lead to a miscarriage that required termination that had also tramatized my body and my period blood become as thin as water where I had to wear diapers and the consistent pain was the debilitating to a point where on November 22nd 2024 I had to have a hysterectomy. Going here caued trauma and physical issues and because of the malpractice and poor after care lost my uterus. Between the violent removal of the IUD, poor after care, physical injury, and on top of that the loss of work due to physical injury and no justice for it. Protect yourself DON'T GO TO THE FERNDALE PANNED PARENTHOOD. Go to the Ann Arbor Planned Parenthood on Professional Drive instead, they actually care and will take care of you. After my hysterectomy the pain I had for 2 years went away and obviously I no longer bleed. My mental health, and PTSD is a work in progress to fix.

When I called to ensure I was still able to be seen, they made me cancel my appointment and reschedule for WEEKS later. God forbid this is an emergency. I don't see where all of our money is going if they don't have enough staff to support the people who do nothing but support them.

They showed no compassion for everything it took you to trek across town in dreary rainy conditions with all of our health challenges and simply have no problem telling us you have arrived late you will need to make another appointment we cannot see you today. I explained our situation to them and they did not have any empathy for our challenges. All we got from the neurologist (doctor) , medical assistant and the front desk attendant were sorry that's our policy. As many times as we patiently sat waiting beyond our appointment time to be called back to be seen by this same medical staff we never once saw a sign warning us of this policy. I am disgusted by these apparent health care professionals.

It is, quite literally, the kind of place I have been looking for my whole life. Upon arrival, I was received pleasantly by the ladies in reception. My wait was short, and then Scott, who was just the most lovely human, triaged me and escorted me into a room where just moments later, my P.A. Lee came in and began talking to me about why I was there. I got introductions. I got time to explain my concerns and ask questions. I was listened to, and all my thoughts were validated and responded to. I felt like Lee and I were BOTH advocating for my wellness, as a team! My experiences at other doctor's offices in the past had always left me feeling rushed, unheard, and "quick fixed", which usually resulted in a prescription or two -- in and out -- despite my genuine desire to actually take an active role in my own wellness, including diet, exercise, supplements, hydration, etc. Not at Be Well! Here, Lee spent time with me, learned a little about who I am and how I view my wellness and my treatment, and worked with me inside those parameters. He was intelligent, laid back, easy to talk to, and professional. I felt this was the norm at this office and I feel reasonably sure that would be the case with any P.A. or doctor that works here. Lee approached the situation methodically, and we created a plan for testing and treatment. I left the room feeling confident that I was in good hands and that the plan would yield helpful information, as well as potential solutions. Check-out was as quick and easy as check-in was, and on my way out, I heard a voice call out to me, "Wait, don't leave yet! I turned to find Dr. Benson following me and offering a red carnation. "Happy Valentine's Day!" he said. Completely brightened my day and made me feel like more than just a patient. I cannot recommend Be Well Medical Center enough. I am so glad my cousin referred me. I am grateful to be under the care of people who actually care.

Crazy what happens when a Dr actually listens to what the patient says the first time. The only follow up I have received from the office was a long letter from Dr Bornstein, condescedingly defending himself on all accounts, and once again gaslighting me to think I'm wrong. He ended the letter asking me to "take down my review". Then today, I got a giant bill, for charges dating back to January of 2025. Claiming my insurance didn't pay for me to have a covid or influenza swab. Charging me $75 DOLLARS just to "handle a covid specimen". I'll take it up with Cigna, since I'm certain these charges are incorrectly billed. But I will say, a billing person from the Be Well office called me a while back claiming they "didn't have record of my insurance at that time" and they only had my new one on file, wondering if I could send them the info. Even though they've billed the one they claim to not have, for other various visits. This is the first bill I've gotten from them in I can't even tell you how long. So clearly, this was dug out of their backlogged archives and compiled because they don't like my review. Bottom line, this place is an absolute mess. Spare yourself and find a doctor's office that you can trust to pay attention to your symptoms, not lose your information, and own it when they do something wrong and someone calls them out on it.

Our prescriptions were promptly sent over to the pharmacy and notes were given for follow up care. I have asthma so it wasn't an immediate ER visit - I called to get a professional's opinion. I scheduled a visit to get vaccines that I needed to travel out of the country - when I came for that appointment, I met with the NP (who is lovely - I can't say enough good things about her) and she agreed that I did need the vaccines that I had requested -- so, she asked the office staff to order the vaccines and I would have to come back for them at another time. (Why wasn't I told this was going to be the practice? When I made a similar call to my old PCP across the state, they had the vaccines during my first visit.) I came to a scheduled appointment 5 minutes early (it should have been a quick visit) and 45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment, when I checked with the receptionist, she told me it would be "just a few more minutes" without any idea of how long it would be or any explanation what so ever. I understand HIPAA prevents her from telling me what the hold up was - but some apology for running SO late or an idea of how much longer it would have been would have been nice. I really can't adequately convey how awful this place actually is. Don't waste your time or your money. I was so disappointed in my experiences with ZMC that I called and left a message for the practice manager (two weeks ago) and he never so much as returned my call. It is clear to me that even the manager doesn't value patients. The only saving grace is that the NP is delightful - she's quick and has good bedside manner. She includes you as a part of the medical team. I wish the rest of the practice would step up.

I first tried the…read moreRochester Hills location, but they said that they only had one appointment left and that a couple of employees were out sick. They suggested talking to the Ferndale location and transferred me to the Ferndale store (a big difference from the competitor that had just given me a blank stare when I asked for the contact information for another one of their locations!). My phone conversation with the Ferndale location was kind of strange. I asked them if I needed to make an appointment, and they said that no one was there at the moment, but they couldn't speak for later. OK... so I hightailed it to Ferndale. Once I got there, I was indeed the only person waiting, but the employees were busy taking a lot of phone calls. I had to wait a little bit before I was given paperwork to fill out, and then had to wait again for the orthotist, but the people that helped me were very nice. I've only had one experience with Wright & Filippis, so I guess I can't speak too much in detail about dealing with the company (my friend who has to use their services said "UGH" when I mentioned them). However, I do know that I'd rather try this company again than the competitor that I had tried previously.
