Excellent care, family physician care with the flexibility, extended hours of an urgent care, walk…read morein facility. My family and I have been going to the Bloomfield and Northville) facilities for over 3 years. The physicians in charge, Dr Kesliker and Sookasikon exemplify the attentive, holistic care of the patient in the time they take with the patient. If you are a regular patient, the difference shows in how the husband-wife team of lead physicians consistently connect up the dots & history, over and above the charts and the prescriptions, paying attention to emotional health, what's going on in school with the kids, etc. Dr Kesliker did not hesitate to make time for telehealth checkup, primary care appointments for my son when he went out of state for college. They are very supportive in helping connect family members with specialists (whether it be for physical medicine, physio therapy or therapy) ; many a time I have seen Dr K make calls to insurance on behalf of patients to support insurance claims or to explain the need for a procedure, taking up significant bits of his time, on repeated calls to explain to insurance why a test needs to be done or to be available to explain to a specialist a situation. Our experience has been that all the physicians, nurse practitioners and staff at both Northville & Bloomfield sites are very patient-centered, customer-oriented, and responsive. Follow up calls are a regular feature of every visit, to go over test results and other material, including Covid test results. Emcura also has the fastest, most responsive Covid testing my family has seen in the last 18 months; we have been there for testing 7-8 times for one of the family members. Insurance flexibility -- they are flexible, I have had changes in insurance and Emcura, Dr Kesliker's group have been flexible to take on new insurance carriers. When there are good service providers in our community, I feel one should take time to communicate this, particularly for critical functions like healthcare. I am happy to say my experience with Emcura Medical is excellent, for urgent care and family physician care. Thank you to the team at Emcura

Instead of going straight to the ER, I tried the new urgent care on Grand River, hoping to save time, money, and stress. I called ahead and clearly asked two different staff members if they could administer IV fluids if needed. I explained that if they couldn't, I'd just head to the ER. They both assured me--no hesitation--that yes, they could do IVs. So I went. They're new. They were eager to collect my insurance and co-pay. I arrived at 4:30 PM. They close at 6. Was the staff friendly? Yes. Was the visit a total waste of my time and money? Absolutely. The doctor seemed far more concerned about getting out on time than actually helping me. Despite a long medical history of similar episodes requiring fluids, he brushed it off--insinuating that maybe this was "psychosomatic." (Classic cop-out.) I've had doctors gaslight me before, but I'm done letting it slide. I don't trust most of them anymore. It's exhausting to have to fight to be heard, only to be told later, "Oh... you were probably right." (And you know I make them say it out loud.) This doctor literally told me, "Yeah, we can do IVs... but the right nurse isn't here and I don't do that." ‍ He handed me a pill and sent me home. At least he apologized. But still... Let's be real: They got me in because they wanted the money. That's it. There was no meaningful care. I should've walked out without paying. If it were any other industry, I would have. A friend of mine went a few days later--same story. They tell you they can help, then do the absolute bare minimum. Oh, and P.S. -- It was hot as hell in there. I don't think they set the thermostat for patients. Bottom line: I'll never go back. If you can avoid this place, do. Consider this your warning: Buyer Beware.

They are usually really good about getting me in same day if I need to be seen and am not particular about which doctor I see. If I want to see my Doc or one of the other ones I prefer sometimes I have to wait until the following day. There usually isn't that much of a wait once I get there. You can usually email them if you have any questions about medications or concerns. Most of the physicians are very patient and don't rush you and will let you ask about other medical/health concerns that aren't necessarily the reason you came in and not make you feel rushed. I called on Sunday for the results and I was told that the place they send X-rays to was closed on Sundays, that they would know something by Monday. On Monday when I called they said they hadn't sent it over to the place to have it read, but would and they would know something by the end of the day. I called back at the end of the day and they still didn't have the results. They did give me the number to the place they send the X-rays to so I called them and left a message. The man quickly called me back and said he didn't have my X-rays, but he did list off all the last names of the ones sent over by Xpress and other urgent cares who use their services. He asked me if I could take a photo of my X-rays and text them to him while we were on the phone and he'd read them. Since I don't have access to those X-rays I was unable to!
