I would give zero stars if I could. I can not over emphasize this - don't waste your time. I called when I was experiencing shortness of breath - they called me back 72 HOURS later. I have asthma so it wasn't an immediate ER visit - I called to get a professional's opinion. I scheduled a visit to get vaccines that I needed to travel out of the country - when I came for that appointment, I met with the NP (who is lovely - I can't say enough good things about her) and she agreed that I did need the vaccines that I had requested -- so, she asked the office staff to order the vaccines and I would have to come back for them at another time. (Why wasn't I told this was going to be the practice? When I made a similar call to my old PCP across the state, they had the vaccines during my first visit.) I came to a scheduled appointment 5 minutes early (it should have been a quick visit) and 45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment, when I checked with the receptionist, she told me it would be "just a few more minutes" without any idea of how long it would be or any explanation what so ever. I understand HIPAA prevents her from telling me what the hold up was - but some apology for running SO late or an idea of how much longer it would have been would have been nice. I really can't adequately convey how awful this place actually is. Don't waste your time or your money. I was so disappointed in my experiences with ZMC that I called and left a message for the practice manager (two weeks ago) and he never so much as returned my call. It is clear to me that even the manager doesn't value patients. The only saving grace is that the NP is delightful - she's quick and has good bedside manner. She includes you as a part of the medical team. I wish the rest of the practice would step up. read more

I've been a patient at ZMC for about a year now; I've only seen Dr. Leighton once (smart and efficient), but the NP, Priscilla, is wonderful. Based on my interactions with her, I would recommend the practice to anybody who asked. The on-site pharmacy is convenient and their staff is terrific. One negative I haven't seen mentioned, is the parking kind of blows...the lot is small, and it can be a little tough to park a pick-up. Other than that, I can't really agree with any of the negative reviews. Four stars. read more

The ZMC medical facility located inside The ZMC pharmacy has been my medical doctor for 6 or seven years now. My prior doctors have been all to willing to prescribe and keep me on those scripts for a endless periods of time. This was not the case with Dr.Pirazada. Since I became a patient, he has been the only strong advocate for less pharma drugs and better lifestyle as well as alternative options. The office is friendly to the current medical options of Michigan and will never discriminate against it or look at you cross for your medical need. I have never wanted doctors who tell me what I want to hear, instead, I prefer a Doctor Who wants to help me. I'll take the pain in the ass over the pushover any day when it comes to my health and the health of those I love. I highly recommend it to ZMC medical team. read more

Worst front desk person EVER. Very rude and argumentative. EVERY time I call she is nasty. Their wonderful PA left and went back to OK. I can't get my scripts filled under her name so I called to ask for them to be redone. I told her they had to be done under my PCP. She gives them info for another doctor . I called last week about an appointment and was given one with new PA.I have no problem with that but now nasty, rude receptionist tells me I HAVE to use my PCP. She was the one that set up the appointment. I agree with people saying they have never seen a doctor. I have not either. I am waiting to hear from another place to change completely. read more

I struggled with this review for many reasons. Medical care was fantastic, Dr. Pirzada (female) was a very competent and thorough provider. The pharmacy was also nice and alway helpful. I truly wanted to continue being a patient of ZMC. I gave this a single star because most of the office staff is very rude and completely unhelpful. When my insurance changed and I could no longer see Dr. P, they made absolutely NO recommendations or offered any help at locating a new provider. Come to find out they DO have a provider that accepted my insurance. When I called to enquire, they were very rude so I thought forget it. I'm a nurse, I would NEVER deny help to a patient looking for care. I hope they give these workers more training, bc the healthcare professionals and the facility itself are really top notch. But... If someone is rude to me everytime I call or come in....I just can't overlook that. read more

I agree with one of the other reviews as Dr. Pirzada (male) was very nice and accommodating. The pharmacy is very nice and offers a lot of natural options as well as lotions, candles, etc. which is why I gave 2 stars. As for the rest of the staff, they are very rude, especially the receptionist. She is a complete snob and not welcoming whatsoever! Whether I am sick or just going for a check up, she is not the pleasant greeter that I would expect. She is one of the main reasons that I quit going there. Anytime I call to obtain some information about my own medical records, she gives me a hard time and always has an attitude. She really should not be working in healthcare. The receptionist is the first point of contact and therefore an important component to a healthcare office. The wait time to see the doctor is a little extreme as well. I love Dr. Pirzada, male, not female, although I'm sure female is great too. Male Dr. Pirzada is fun, funny, down to earth, super knowledgable on up to date trends. The facility is amazing. Feels like you are walking into a W hotel, or a spa. The staff is warm and friendly and they don't make you wait too long (it is a doctor's office so you have to expect that some waiting will occur) One of the best things about ZMC is that is attached to the ZMC pharmacy...so if you do have to wait...you can shop! Dr. Pirzada (female) is my whole family's PCP, but I've had the pleasure of seeing all of the doctors at some point or another. The atmosphere is lovely, the cool music is a welcome change from most offices (more Bjork than Muzak), and the entire staff is warm, helpful, and professional. Peng (sorry, not sure of the spelling), at the front desk has gone above and beyond on many occasions to help me with my complicated prescriptions. Speaking of prescriptions, the attached ZMC pharmacy is not only convenient, but superior to any pharmacy in the state. All of their awesome products and gifts aside, the pharmacist and staff exemplify great customer service and go out of their way to counsel you, speak with your insurance provider, and offer less expensive alternatives. Sure, some time the wait is a little long, but that's only because they really take their time with each patient. I'd welcome a few extra minutes relaxing in a beautiful waiting room listening to Florence and the Machine to see a doctor who really listens to me, gets to know me, and offers thoughtful, practical advice. You got to be a doctor to enjoy life. Many doctors share this practice but nobody is ever there. You need to wait forever to get an appointment and even if you get lucky to get one you sit around forever waiting. What are the appointments for then? I think some doctors work there only once a week. The office style looks hip but what does it matter if you do not have any equipment there. For literally the simplest stuff you get referred to other physicians. No X-Rays, no bloodwork, nothing can be done there. They should take the patient more serious there. And a little more politeness of the assisting staff would go a long way. read more

I'm writing this as a complaint of my recent visit to this office. I was very excited to have been recommended to this office as a new patient. I have been experiencing tension headaches for 5 weeks now and put them on hold for another 2 weeks to be seen at this office. I left work and drove to the office to be informed that there was no record of my appointment. My name was in the system, so I feel that proves that I obviously called to set up an appointment. The desk clerk, who is the lady that made my appointment, didn't even move from her seat to ask the doctors to squeeze me in. She just told me I'd have to reschedule for another day. I'm a bit upset because I still have a headache to deal with and now I need to find another office to treat me. I am writing this because I feel nothing was done to try to accommodate me. I understand that accidents happen, but would have expected a bit more effort. I don't feel it was a great way to welcome a new patient. Also, I wrote them an email in regards to how the desk clerk handled the situation and never received a response. I would NOT recommend this office! read more

Saw Dr. Pirzada today. He was very polite, professional and easy to talk to. Made some good suggestions and was very sweet the squirmy toddler I had tagging along. The waiting room feels like a spa. The exam rooms are pretty stylish too. Easy parking and conveniently located. The pharmacy is quick and has tons of cute gifty stuff. Who would have guessed that I would buy a bracelet, wrapping paper and a lip gloss at my Dr. appt? My only complaint is the wait. Appt was at 9am and the receptionist said come a few minutes early since I was a new patient. Got there at 8:50 and they didn't even open the doors until 9:01 am. The dr. didn't come into my exam room until 9:25 so 35 minutes of waiting around. Seems like a lot when you're the first patient of the day. read more

I read many review pages about them and read several of the staff being rude but decided to give it a try because there were many mixed reviews. The negative ones are completely true! The receptionist should not be the first face of this company she is rude, has no compassion and is completely unprofessional. My appointment was not in the computer and I was told there was a glitch in the computer on why it must not be there, and that it was 4 and she could do nothing. My appointment was suppose to be at 4:15 and I was basically given a shoulder shrug about it and it really wasn't her problem. A little compassion when I took time off work would of been nice but I was completely turned off by her attitude and lack of professionalism, such as when she asked me in front of other patients what I was there for to evaluate it. I will not be going back. The pharmacy seems cute to bad the medical part of the business does not represent there fun and spirited appearance with a welcoming comforting staff. read more

I think the doctors are wonderful but I always wait at least an hour before I'm seen and I don't understand it. It defeats the purpose of an appointment. It's minimum two hours of time for 10 minutes spent with a doctor. I just wish they would fix this. read more

I have only used the pharmacy but they are always helpful and pleasant when we go there. Jalal spent a lot of extra time researching my prescription and found a generic product that saved me hundreds of dollars. He did this on his own as a service to his customer, not because we asked him to. These are very good people and give great service. read more

I don't know how this place operates. There is NEVER a doctor available, ever! You will only see the PA, who is very sweet and great for minor issues, but she is not a doctor and seemingly runs the practice. During a trip the ER doctors found a concern during an MRI they wanted me to follow up with my primary care doctor about to watch. I called to schedule an appointment with doctor, not the PA. When I got there, it was the PA who saw me. I asked to see the doctor and was told that was not a possibility. I asked for her next available appointment, they told me she was unavailable for six months. I asked for them to book an appointment after 6 months and they told me they could not do that because she only works one half day a month.... or something along those lines. How is that possible? I have never encountered a doctors office where the doctor is seemingly completely unavailable... book out, yes. Not in the office, no. As a side note, and less important be prepared to wait when you have an appointment, and the receptionist is the last person who should be greeting people. She is the least friendly and least helpful person I have encountered in a receptionist role. The pharmacy is great, I'd look elsewhere for a primary care provider, don't be misled by the new and polished look. read more

I'm looking around for a new PCP and called ZMC as it's pretty close to where I live and was recommended by another physician. The pictures online looked pleasant and I'm looking for a D.O. The receptionist on the phone couldn't have been more BLAH. She sounded happy---but was also incapable of answering any of my questions--or even pretending she knew what she was talking about. It was an "i don't know," and "yea," "no," "sure," for my questions. No offer to find out more information for the questions she didn't know. First impression--young and ditzy. Then reading the other reviews on here pretty much solidified my decision not to visit this office. I was really hoping to have a good first impression of this office because its so cute and convenient--but I just couldn't imagine having to deal with scheduling and billing with an office staff that can't provide a professional and pleasant experience for their patients. read more

Staff has very bad attitude. They act like the patients are a nuisance. They leave you waiting for over an hour with an appointment And for at least 20 minutes for lab work. I have only been there twice but both times patient records were laying on the front counter not in folders. Very unprofessional read more

Looking for a new PCP, called to try and schedule an appointment after waiting for the receptionist to finally answer the phone she was rude put me on hold then upon coming back to the phones was still rude. At least she provided me with an out when she informed me no one could see me for 2 months. I happily told her I would find somewhere else to see me sooner. Receptionists are your company's first impression and she sure made a horrible one. read more
