Fernando's did an outstanding job on my Ford Model A aluminum step plates. I gave him 2 pair. They were bad when I drop them off, with pits and dull. Unfortunately, I believed the good reviews on here, which are a hit or miss. I'm restoring some old-school Haro freestyle BMX bikes and I needed some parts polished. I dropped them off a month and just pick them up today. The first two weeks I got no phones calls or if the work was completed. The following week I had to call him up and ask him he has my stuff ready he's like oh it'll be ready for pick up on Friday I'll give you a call, never happened. And the finale week Well is due to me having to take work off to go get these parts. I found out that some of the stuff that I've given to them was not even done which is fine if I would've gotten a phone call that it couldn't be polished but five parts did not get polished and not relayed to me. A bike frame, forks, chain, seat post and pegs. In the beginning I was told a total of $500 (WTF) for everything. Mind you some of these are small parts. Whoever said that this place is fair with pricing, was way off. I came in to pick up my parts, that's when I was told that some of the parts did not get done and one of his workers told me, because Fernando had taken off for lunch knowing I was coming in, the worker actually negotiated the price down to $300 after Fernando said $400 for not contacting me about the other parts not being able to be polished. The worker also said He had to deal with this before and that's not how business should be done. I actually feel bad for these workers I want to say they're the ones that actually deserve the money but the simple truth is after my interaction with this company I will never ever deal with anybody that's only deals with cash (told cash only when I came in to pick up parts) and doesn't stand by their word on what's being finished and contacting you. Even after I paid $300 and took the parts home to inspect the work, realized some of the stuff had issues. Some parts came out decent, but not worth the $300 that I paid. I'm guessing I got ripped off since they negotiated it down to $300 and take cash only, lesson learned. Get everything in writing before you come here make sure you get a price and compare other shops and make sure they're able to do the work. I dont recommend this place at all!!!! read more

Heard good things about this place, they do metal polishing on site but they out source any chrome work . They are bad at calling back when they say they will, they lost part of my order. Called several times put on hold then drop the call. Say they will work it out....still waiting won't recommend for chroming. read more

Was recently referred to this place from a friend. I've seen their work in the past and have always been impressed, but had the first experience as a customer and couldn't be happier. They polish most metals and can provide chroming, as well. I had a set of stainless Magnaflow tailpipes polished to a mirror finish and they were super easy to deal with, quick turnaround, super reasonable pricing, and the work looks fantastic. Fernando's Metal Polishing chrome-plated a set of vintage motorcycle handlebars, a set of trees and a few odd-ball nuts/bolts. The quality plating was outstanding on all pieces. They threw in the bolts and nuts without charge. Because it was over the holidays the job took a bit longer than normal, but this was explained from the beginning so no problem at all. I've had Fernando's polish several sets of aluminum/alloy wheels and they do a great job every time! I drive across town from the NE valley to have them finish my parts because I trust them. They are always nice to deal with, very courteous and helpful, and accommodating as well. I've never asked for an exact date for completion, but I can always count on them being pretty quick and calling me for pick up sooner than I think. AND - their prices are very reasonable too...what more can you ask for? read more
