I can't believe how I was treated! How do they stay in business!! She had NO compassion for the fact that I was inquiring about my mother's services. She would not give me ANY information! As if I was just some bum off the street staggering in to inquire about someone I kind of knew! She didn't even ask me if I could identify myself. I would have been happy to verify anything she needed. She has NO customer service skills. I have been in customer service since 1969 (probably before she was born) and owned two companies, was a Manager of a bank and had many people working under me, and if she worked for me I would FIRE HER!! She also relayed confidential information I spoke with her about to other people. Totally unprofessional! DO NOT USE RENDINA FUNERAL HOME UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A SECOND HAND CITIZEN. MAY I SUGGEST REESE FUNERAL HOME IN HOBART. When my dad died, that is where he wanted to go and they treated us with dignity and compassion. I rate Rendina 0 stars! But it won't let me post this unliess I give it at lease one!

I come from a very large…read morefamily and have experienced funeral arrangements from just about every provider in the area . They do not compare to the quality, efficient, warm, and professional service that Manuel Memorial provides. From Angie, all the way down to their interns, they are all remarkable. They buried my sister in 2010. There was a discrepancy in the casket that was noticed the night before her funeral. Angie not only corrected the issue, but upgraded my sister's casket. We walked into the church the next morning and we shed tears not just because of our loss, but because of how beautifully she was prepared. She looked like the Princess that she was! Angie followed up with us weeks afterwards, to make sure we didn't need help with thank you cards! Since then, they have buried two of my uncles, a few family friends, and members of our church, all from our referrals. We even stop by just to say hello to them when we are in the area. Their staff is truly a family. I feel so indebted to them for going above and beyond their duty at such a pressing and dire time of our lives. I highly recommend them!

Recently, I attended a wake at Solan-Pruzin Funeral as I entered for the very first time, I was taken back how light and airy it was inside, so warm and inviting. Imagine that, a funeral home being inviting? Well, the staff on duty was very professional and quite friendly and willing to engage me in a conversation. When I entered the chapel area where the family was receiving guests, I was immediately drawn to the flowers. They were that beautiful and exquisitely done I thought for a minute I did them myself, down to the long flowing ribbons that added such grace and elegance. The family flowers, the end baskets and casket spray were just that stunning. You see, I've been a florist and owned my own shop in downtown Chicago for over 35 years, so I've been around. It's quite rare to see such fabulous design work in Northwest Indiana, at least so far. Most funeral homes know little or nothing about floral design but think they do. Wisely, Solan-Pruzin has identified an extraordinary talented florist with an exceptional eye that certainly will help to enhance this spacious and tastefully appointed funeral home as to set themselves apart from the competition. All this time, some of us may have thought the most prestigious funeral home was in Munster, Indiana. Think again! The best funeral home is Solan-Pruzin in Schererville, Indiana. If you're planning on checking out anytime soon, go with the very best! I highly recommend Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home!
