So why the five stars? I had contacted them about my dryer that was heating up but not drying clothes. I had every intention of setting an appointment for them to come out and help fix it. I found them on Yelp because of their good reviews. The more details I gave, they told me that they thought I should call a "air duct and dryer vent cleaning company." While there was always a chance the dryer was broken, they truly felt that this would fix the issue it more than having one of their service techs come out. So five stars for honesty and integrity. And I can tell you if and when my dryer does stop working completely, which is probably only a matter of time, I will definitely consider calling this company or visiting their store and getting a new dryer from them versus Lowe's or Home Depot.

The Very Bad: Brendon and Shane failed to remove a tie down bracket that prevents the tub from shifting during shipping and delivery. On our first use, there was a terrible metallic grinding sound. The unit shook so vigorously that it walked itself across the floor, then blew the door open and puked water on the floor ... before pulling the electrical cord tight enough to unplug itself. More Good: I called to request service on a Saturday afternoon ... and Scott arrived at 10AM Monday. He pulled the front panel and immediately identified the root cause - failure of the installers to remove the tie down bracket. He inspected the unit and found no damage. Whew!

They gave us a date and 2 hour window for their repair guy to come by, and he called us when he was 30 minutes away. The part needed to be ordered so he gave us the exact amount to get it installed. However, the service was never rendered. It was fine because he said he that he would reach out to someone the could provide the service that was needed (and this didn't materialized either because I never heard from this so-called different repairman.) I can't fault "Americare Appliance Reair" for that (I don't think?) What I can fault is him for allowing me to pay him to simply reverse my dryer door (while he was already at my place.) A task that seemed quite simple to do, it although also seemed to stumped is personal abilities. After awhile he said that he needed to get a different bracket from his shop and that he would be by my place early in the morning to finish the job. He answered one phone call from me in the morning but never showed up to finish reversing the door (while he left all of the parts scattered about.) He would not answer or returned any more calls (not even before I submitted the review.) I sent several (friendly) courteous messages (during this time) but to no avail. I waited numerous weeks before submitting my review of this small business owner (to give him the "benefit of the doubt" to make himself whole.) I finally realized the he didn't know what he was doing when I googled my dryer's model number (and watched the video on YouTube. Everything that he needed to do for the job was actually provided on the dryer. He didn't need to get a different bracket at all.
