Excellent driving instructors. Took my roads test and passed the first time!…read more Seriously, Mr. Ish and Mr. Teddy are very patient and definitely want you to pass. I had wanted to book extra hours behind the wheel before I scheduled my roads test, but Mr. Ish really pushed me to take it sooner because he felt I was ready. Very glad he did.

I just passed my DC driving test, and its all thanks to the wonderful instruction from this school!…read moreI would recommend them highly to anyone, especially folks like me who are learning as adults. Before my lessons with Mr. Ish, the only driving experience I had as a 36 year old was some parking lot practice, and a one hour lesson with a different school (which I didn't think was very helpful so I didn't continue). I took 5 lessons of 2 hours each (10 hours total) with him and found him to be an incredibly patient and supportive instructor. I had a lot of anxiety going into the whole process, and his calm presence always put me at ease and made me more confident. When I would make a mistake like making too wide of a turn into a streeet, he would point it out but also ask me why I did it that way. It felt like he really wanted to get to the root of the issue to help fix it. In the case of turning too wide, we realized that I was misjudging the distance of my car from the parked cars on the street. This thoughtful approach really helped diagnose and correct issues as they came up and it was so satisfying to visibly see myself improve. His approach to teaching parallel parking was super clear, and I was able to confidently parallel park during the test, and have now also done it in relatively tight spots on DC streets! He also recommended doing a last lesson right before the test in the Deanwood neighborhood (where the DMV test takes place). This was great advice, and Mr. Teddy accommodated me for a pre-test lesson on short notice. I used the school's car for the test, which was helpful since I was familiar with it. The day of the test there was a really long wait at the DMV and Mr. Teddy waited with me patiently and was also really supportive. All the communication and reminders from the school about lesson times, locations were timely and clear, Mr. Ish was always on time for picking me up, and it was just a seamless experience end to end.

I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Charles Smith from CAS Driving School. His behavior…read moreand teaching methods raised significant concerns regarding safety and professionalism. Unfortunately, Charles cannot be trusted driving his own car, let alone teaching others how to drive. He is rude and yells often. Charles might have been a good instructor back in his prime, but he is now too old to be teaching others how to drive effectively and safely. In sum, Charles as a driver is a potential hazard for pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers. As you can see from reading other reviews, Charles is often late to appointments and spends most of it on his phone instead. My last appointment with Charles was a 2-hour driving instruction appointment to be conducted in the area where the DMV conducts road tests. For at least half that time Charles was either texting others, making/taking phone calls, or handling payroll for his employees on the phone. Charles wears these in-ear headphones and sometimes takes the left one off, so you cannot quite tell whether he is speaking to you or on the phone chatting with someone else. At an intersection where I had a red light, Charles yelled, "GO!". I proceeded to hit the gas and almost got into an accident. Turns out he had just received a phone call and was saying "Go!" to the person on the other end of the line. Charles cannot be trusted to teach you how to drive properly. Charles's instructions were often contradictory, and his lack of attention made it challenging to learn effectively. His frequent phone usage during lessons felt disrespectful and unprofessional, leaving me to figure out many aspects of driving on my own. In conclusion, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Charles Smith as a driving instructor. His inattentiveness and lack of proper guidance made the learning process frustrating and unsafe. I will be looking elsewhere for proper instruction.

The owner is very responsive and the instructors really know what they're doing. Boris was the best instructor I had. He was friendly and nice and noticed what areas I needed improvement in and we practiced more on those than the others. They know the road test route well and make sure you practice along the route. I'm sure the other instructors are good too but do yourself a favor and practice with Boris. His patience is great and he knows how to put things in terms you'd understand- he made a reference to shrek and I knew what he meant.

On September 7, 2021 I took my road test, with Ethio Star Driving School(Ethio Star) conducting it. Ethio Star has mastered the art of robbery without a gun. I advise you-all not to take your road test with them. They are failing people intentionally just to make more money off of you. I parked a few inches away from what would be the curb, and was told that it wasn't good enough. Mr. Eyob would eventually tell me that the road test was over because my parking didn't meet his standards. I was puzzled because to my knowledge the only deduction that'll end the test is failing to stop at a Stop sign or bumping one of the cones while attempting to park. I would learn later that they aren't in compliance with the DMV score deduction. Ethio Star deducts 80% of your score for failing to park . Furthermore, he would tell me that I can take the test again for $120. Well, I took the test again yesterday, but with CAS Driving school and passed. They were cordial. I recommend that anyone seeking to take a road test please contact CAS driving School LLC 202-636-1049 or contact@casdriving.com. The DMV need to sever their ties with Ethio Star immediately. If you don't attend their school, they will fail you

I would definitely recommend this driving school to everyonee! Its affordable and you learn what you need to learn. I think I paid for six lessons. I passed my road test on the first try. Despite riding far to the right, he sped past aggressively -- with a student in the car -- and nearly hit a cyclist. He then yelled to "get out of the road," which is ironic since cyclists are legally allowed to use the lane. How do I give 6 stars? 7 stars? 100? Dan and JewelryClassDC deserve them, and more…read more I worked with Dan to make my engagement ring and it was an unforgettable experience. It can feel like a real leap of faith to do something so personal and important in such an unconventional way, and to put your trust in a stranger and in your own ability to learn something you have never even considered before--but I am so glad I took it. I have an experience I will remember for the rest of my life, my fiancée (she said yes of course!) has a beautiful, truly one-of-a-kind heirloom she adores and values beyond measure, and we have a story we will tell over and over again. She is already getting questions about where I found her ring, and her friends are already gushing about how amazed they are I made it. Honestly, I am amazed too. I wasn't sure I could make a ring that looked better than a beginner's craft project!--but that was before I met Dan. I had a personal design idea that not only do they not sell in stores, they don't even really sell jade cut how I needed. As far as I can tell, no one had done this before. Well, now someone has, it turned out incredible, and it's all because Dan made it possible. He went above and so far beyond. As a craftsman he is not just skilled, but meticulous, and determined to make sure every product he works on meets his high standard of excellence. As a teacher he is patient, knowledgeable, and eager to share and show what he knows--which is a lot.  And to top it all off, he is a real man of his word--exactly the kind of person you want to put your trust in when dealing with precious metals, stones, and memories. In short, they don't 'em like Dan anymore--that goes for his character, and his jewelry. If you need jewelry made, if you need jewelry worked on, if you need a guiding hand to make something yourself--do yourself a favor and see Dan and his team at JewelryClassDC.

He wrote back, "probably" and told me to bring it by that weekend and he'd have a look. I told him I would come Saturday and he wrote that he might have to go the DMV at some point, but that he should be around. I came by Saturday and he was not there, so I left the piece with a young woman who admired the bracelet and tagged it to give it to him and took my phone number and email. When I had heard nothing by Wednesday, I called and Daniel somewhat impatiently said that "I haven't even looked at it," but that he would. I waited another three days and called a week from when I had originally dropped it off, only to have Daniel say that he "hadn't even looked at it" and I told him I would just come over to take it back. I came and he dumped the bracelet in my hand, again saying, "I haven't looked at it." When I reminded him that he had said Wednesday that he would look at it, he barked "What do you want from me!!!!!"
