One of the better places to get hot pot in the DMV! The quality of the ingredients was excellent, the service was friendly, and the sauce bar was clean and well-stocked. I went with a group of six, and contrary to some of the other reviews, our bill was very reasonable. Including drinks, dessert, and a 20% tip, our total came to less than $300. We were all stuffed by the end of the meal and still couldn't finish everything we ordered, which made it feel like an even better value.

Known as the best hotpot restaurant in the DMV region. It's a popular restaurant in the Rockville town center. Street parking is limited. However, there are nearby garage parking lots, and it is also within the walking distance of the Rockville metro station. We ordered four different flavors broth, each was authentic and flavorful. There was a self-service seasoning station in the front. We indulged in a variety of dishes, Each item was fresh and authentic! We all loved it.

Great place for hot pot. It is not AYCE so price can stack up quickly..I think for two it was 100+ lol. Food is delicious and the sauce bar has a great variety. Service is quick and the interior has a bunch of hanging instructions of how long to cook things, which is kind an interesting touch.

A great spot for hotpot! I was walking around Rockville and saw this place, but I didn't realise it was new. They have a waiting queue, but we were seated faster than expected. Tried out their four broth option and liked the different choices! They also do not play with the spicy broth, even at mild, with the peppercorn and pepper. I liked the spicy one the best, with tomato next. They have plenty of tissues around for that spicy broth lol. This is an à la carte spot, but the quality of ingredients were great; definitely reminded me of when I was in Chengdu/Chongqing with the flavours! I was particularly surprised with their mushroom platter and how tasty it was. I also enjoyed their noodles. Sauce bar is a little different from what I'm used to. The staff were super nice and attentive. Cute spot too with decor. I did recognise a few influencers they had on their famous people who visited wall. I'd definitely come again!

Super flavorful soup bases here and friendly service! Make sure to join the waitlist in advance online or there will definitely be quite a wait especially on a weekend night. My favorite meats were the prime beef rib options! I love the mushroom and vegetable option as well. Although this isn't AYCE, you are definitely paying for the quality. I recommend getting the 4 soup option so you can try a bit of everything. Be warned that the spicy soup is very spicy even at the lowest level. The inside has lots of seating, panda dolls, and TVs around. They don't validate parking though so there's a fee for that too.

Delicious Sichuan hot pot right next to the Regal movie theater in downtown Rockville town center. Plenty of parking in the nearby garages makes it super convenient and steps away from many stores and the Rockville town center activities. It was fresh and the broths were tasty, I recommend getting a multi flavored hot pot broth so that you can try the many types of flavors instead of just one broth. The price is on the higher side compared to other locations, but well worth a try if you want to try something different than regular Hot Pot. I like that they did have a few unique choices to add like abalone and tasty home made meatballs. Overall we were all satisfied and will be coming back to try more!

The inside had a lot more tables than I thought and the space was bigger than I thought. If i'm being honest, I first chose this place due to the conveyor belt, robot, and $20 lunch price point. Unfortunately, I only kind of got one of those. To my shock, the price increased to $25 for lunch and the conveyor belt was no longer working. I was honestly most excited about the conveyor belt. I saw some reviews that said due to covid they stopped it but if you ordered things, it was sent that way. Unfortunately I think the conveyor belt hasn't been in use for a while because they had decor and everything on it. They did have to robot but it only delivered drink and desserts sometimes. There were even times the robot was on its way to deliver something and the waiter stopped it in the middle of the walkway and deliver the item himself. I wouldn't say the experience was bad but I think it was subpar. Although I did like that the tables give you individual pots because I've been to some places where six people have to share one pot in the middle and it's chaos because you have to reach over people so the individual pot was great. In terms of the actual food it was not bad. The server was actually nice and brought us angus beef which was a dinner item, although we were there for lunch. I mad a great sauce from the sauce bar. I loved the appetizers they had. The fried rice and noodles were exactly how I love it. The fried rice was how i'd have it growing it. All and all loved it and will probably go back at some point. Parking was a little of a hassle so I would keep that in mind. Even during lunch it was hard to find adequate street parking.

Everything was good except for one thing, which I think is pretty important and influences my final score. When we arrived, I told the server we were new to hot pot and we wanted to try two broths. He showed us the iPad ordering device and told me that we should order a half and half pot for $1 extra to get two broths. So, I ordered a half and half pot, and then ordered a variety of meats and fish. We went up to get veggies, which were all being stored at a good cold temp and all looked good. Then a single SMALL pot (they have two sizes of hot pot) was delivered to our table, half one broth and half the other. As I put some of the ingredients in (we were feeding two people), the hot/spicy broth spilled over to the other (tom yum) broth, and essentially turned the whole meal into a spicy broth meal. We got no taste of the tom yum. As we ended the meal, I noticed that other couples had two different pots. We essentially were cramming food for two people into a single pot (and it was one of the small pots, not one of the big ones). As we went to pay the check, I asked the server if we should have gotten two individual pots, each with a different broth. He said "oh yes. I should have told you that." What??!!? So, we basically spent well almost $90 (including tip) for a single small pot of spicy broth mixed with other broth, and having to spend the time minimizing the transfer of broths from one side to the other by minimizing the amount of food we put into the small pot. Yes, I'm ticked off (and I don't tick off easily). The meal would have been very good, but I feel like we got taken advantage of and the server, when he saw us struggling to keep the broths separate and knew he should have been served two pots, didn't say a word, apologize, or offer us any discounts. I reached out twice to the restaurant through Yelp, but heard nothing back. Again, the meats looked good, the veggies looked good, the sauce station was a nice addition. But everything was crammed into a small pot that tasted the same. And they charged us an extra dollar for the privilege! Ugh. I'm really disappointed - and ticked off.

The lunch selection is maybe a bit smaller than some other hot pot places, but as long as you're not looking for the fancy stuff you'll be fine; we had no trouble getting the variety of basics we wanted. You have to order via a QR code on your phone, which I don't like and it was confusing. Not to mention, the waitress didn't explain the process as she should have, especially knowing it was our first time there and we had to call her over several times. We thought this was a typical Korean BBQ/hot pot place ... it's not. We frequent many of the AYCE restaurants in the area. This was nothing like the others. You don't cook the food on the grill yourself, they cook it in the back for you. Usually we get several different cuts of beef/pork/chicken. We ordered beef/chicken and pork skewers. They were tiny and we didn't love the dry seasoning they used. The fried pork was listed as an additional charge, so we didn't get it. We feel like there weren't enough meat options (for grilling in the back), seemed like a lot of seafood or exotic selections. So we were stuck eating stuff like chicken nuggets and the hot pot (which we usually enjoy just as a side option in addition to our grilled meats. They also forgot our two rice orders. I felt like the Hot Pot was too big and needed more flavor. We tried the plain chicken broth and the spicy beef chili oil (it was spicy but not flavorful). They brought out a ton of rolled meats but seemed like not enough sides. In essence, we spent $100 (including tip) on freaking Hot Pot. Disappointed and won't be coming back here.

As well as the Shanghai noodles! It can get pretty hot inside as you're eating though and you can end up getting somewhat sweater. Depending on where you're sitting. You can choose to have a shared single hotpot or the option to have individual hot-pots! There is also a sauce bar with some small bites that include mini sesame red bean donuts. The sauce bar has many options to choose from and it is very clean as there are windows to cover the sauce bar. They even have their own signature sesame oil in mini cans! Super cute. Once you're done eating there's an ice cream fridge and a cute little dessert bar to make your own jelly dessert cups! It creates such a refreshing cleanse after eating hotpot.

Second, the selection is huge. They pretty much have almost everything you expect in an AYCE place. Chinese hot food, Japanese sashimi, Korean BBQ, vegan salad, drinks, ice cream. One thing is that my empty plates were piling up before they were taken away, but I guess it was Saturday and they were busy. Overall the food selection was amazing. I only wish their desserts are better... I thought the little roll/balls in the frig was mochi... but no... it was something with unpleasant texture - they tasted like silicon... Other than that, I think this place is the best Asian AYCE I have tried in the US. If we are ever in Maryland and in the area we will definitely come back.

Was feeling hangry because I had planned on stopping at Hard Times for a bowl of chili -and found out they were closed on Mondays. So, pretty much pulled a name out of a hat and would up at Chuan Tian Xia because, well, Szechuan cooking uses chiles, no? Yesssss! I ordered Signature Dumplings and a bowl of Beijing-style Beijing-style Zhajiang Noodles. The dumplings were outstanding: a mix of shrimp, pork, and chive that were plump, juicy, fragrant with the herbaceous flavor of chives. The accompanying sauce was not too sweet, not too hot, just right as a complement to the dumplings. Yowza. I was a happy camper... ...and then I dug into my noodles. Double yowza! Thick wheat noodles topped with a rich sauce made from (I think) fermented soybean paste and braised pork belly, garnished with cucumbers. The portion was way to big for me to eat after my flight, but I really, really enjoyed it (and the remaining dumplings) for lunch today. Did I say yowza? I'm an adventurous eater so the menu's less Americanized items were what I would have ordered given more time (like Maoxuewang: can you say "pig's tongue, spam, pork intestine, and beef tripe"? Protein is protein, baby!). Just means I need to come back, and I will, as quickly as I can.

The ingredients are super fresh -- crisp veggies, tender meats, and seafood that tastes like it came straight from the market. The broths are rich and flavorful, clearly made from real stock, not shortcuts. You can tell they care about quality -- clean setup, balanced sauces, and great attention to detail that true hotpot lovers appreciate. It's the kind of place where you can relax, cook, and enjoy authentic Asian flavors done right. And the BBQ is just as impressive. The meats grill perfectly -- tender, juicy, and thoughtfully seasoned. Definitely one of the best hotpot spots in Gaithersburg for anyone who values real quality and ingredients. I've tried plenty of hotpot places around, but this one's my choice for real quality and flavor.

We didn't get the Duck, hotpot or bbq this time. Got 3 different entrees: jumbo salt shrimp, fried bean curd with vegetables and spicy chili fish filet. The fish had plenty of chili oil, dried chili, Napa cabbage, wood ear mushrooms, bean thread noodles and scallions accompanying. Was flavorful and numbing. The tofu dish was a solid vegetarian source, with fried soy braised tofu triangles, broccoli, mushrooms s, cabbage and carrots. The best dish is their shrimp. Large prawns with the shells on were fried in salt, pepper and chili powder. The shells were crispy and edible and absorbed the flavoring well. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and succulent. Great place, will need to try other dishes.
