This company and Craig in general is very unprofessional! He tried stepping into something over his head! I wrote a contract with FENCES BY CRAIG to build a pavilion, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and sheetrook work ONLY because he wanted to bid on it after I hired him to do my fence. His crew tried coming to me asking for money cause they said Craig didn't give them money. When doing the job they did what they wanted NOT what I asked for or agreed to, guessing so they could pocket more money. His contractors left a mess (nails, glass, trash, old rusted scalpel, huge piles of concrete mess) and not to mention DIDN'T finish the job! Craig tried to get me to deal with his workers directly so he wouldn't have to be responsible for the shit mess his guys did! I told Craig I HIRED YOU!! You were the GM! He agreed to pay me part of my money back then dodged bringing it to me. He is the WORST! Hope and pray if you hire him you have no issues because he's not a man of his word at all!! They built the fireplace with the the wrong piping to come out, roof was not done, neither was the top of the chimney so these last weeks of rain water has been pouring all inside! They didn't do the ceiling right they painted the wood instead of staining, columns are crooked, not level or complete, no fire brick in the fireplace, in fact they have a wood frame inside..electrical not finished and they actually covered the places were the lights were supposed to be -only a hole for the fan is present. The Sheetrook rock is ridiculous u can clearly see every area they touched and they sprayed all that shit all over my furniture because they didn't think to cover or move it first! Then started the demo on the outdoor kitchen and left shit everywhere! I have broken glass, nails, wire mess, and material all over the place with 2 small dogs that if they eat something will have to have surgery! And Craig was in charge and said he was coming to look and he never came out once. Craig was who I hired not whoever he decided to do the work! I have a fucking mess, I'm out money and now it's going to cost 20k to fix all his screw ups and finish what I wanted done originally! Worst company and workmanship ever! All they needed to do was build 35 feet of straight fence with a double 12 foot gate. Could not have been an easier job to do. Well they made a mess of it and even after saying they would come back, they never did. Fence is not straight, the gates do not line up, gap between gates is not straight, they even used a bent hinge that made the gate stick out at the top, and left a mess of the whole area. Customer service at it's worst! A post on my ranch fence had a huge cluster of knots in it, to the tune of a chunk falling out of it and cracked. I let Craig know about it and he was immediately defensive and saying that my horses broke it off. I get it.. horses lean on stuff but when it's so obvious that the post shouldn't have passed inspection in the first place, it should be a no brainer. Craig refused to honor anything. I spent 10k on a fence that I now have to replace "cull" posts myself. I work with wood as well and knots are notorious in most wood but you CULL the bad ones. If you miss a bad one.... honor your word.... be a good business and replace it. Craig was also rude, defensive, brash and the ultimate in what NOT to do if you own a business. read more
