I was in town for some personal business, and decided to co-work from here rather than my hotel. It was a great space for that. The location is in a convenient part of downtown Spokane, with plenty of easy parking and also pedestrian access to many hotels (I walked a half-mile from my hotel, which was no problem). The building is a really great older space. They have a big open space on the second floor, full of natural light, exposed bricks, high ceilings, etc. It has a really nice "loft" vibe. The energy of the place on the Friday I was there was perfect. Light music (not too loud, but just enough). People in private offices and booths made the place feel active and busy, but the space is large enough that I wasn't distracted. There were three of us in the hot-desk co-working area when I was there, though there is room for probably 20 or 30, so we all had plenty of space to ourselves. The kitchen was clean, and well-stocked. The coffee was hot, and decent. There is also a coffee shop in the lobby of the building. I made a small mistake when I booked the reservation, and they were quick to correct it for me. The staff person who checked me in was friendly and got me everything I needed. And, the price was very competitive. I've co-worked at WeWork and several other local places over the years, and this was certainly one of the better places I've visited for hot-desk access -- and at a competitive price. Give it a shot. Fellow is simply the best. While traveling, I discovered the place I was planning to work all day had their wifi down. Less than a half-hour remaining before I'm supposed to give a presentation to the whole company. FML. Found Fellow via search on my phone, drove over, and due to the smart/well designed setup process, was able to get a day pass and log in to wifi with time to spare and with no human interaction required. Just walk in, purchase pass, and go. (I like me some human interaction, and their humans are excellent at interactions. Did that later in the day; just didn't have time to spare before the meeting, so I super appreciate how smart their setup is.) read more

Coworking spaces are sweeping the nation now, but Fellow is a longstanding and excellent office space meant for independent thinkers who desire and value the community and, ahem, fellowship aspects of traditional office environments. Though it's better than that, because along with the human need to commune with others, Fellow reinforces and revitalizes the larger need of communing with others with wildly diverse backgrounds, job expertise, and experiences. As a daily fixture and devoted-desk member of Fellow for over four months, it was enriching and astounding to work around developers, writers, graphic designers, all working on individual goals, with an ultimate goal to enrich Spokane as a community. Fellow Coworking is the place that I go to when I need to focus on key deadlines and important projects. Most importantly, it is where I go to find the pulse of Spokane. Surrounding myself with professionals in video, design, marketing, and other creative enterprises inspires me to do the best work I can. The space is welcoming, appropriately lit, and I appreciate the Anvil coffee freshly roasted one floor below. Oh, and the excellent playlists that play gently overhead always set the right mood for getting good work done. As my fellow-reviewer below (or above?) said, this place was a complete life-saver after a crazy wind storm this week. My office didn't have power and my house didn't have internet. So I queried my Facebook friends for recommendations of places to work that weren't Starbucks. And I was quickly answered by one of the founders of this place (thanks, Benji!). I immediately zipped over there and was up and working within minutes. And best of all, they comped the day due to the storms. I was secretly hoping that my office building would be closed again so I could spend another day here. But alas, I am back in my boring office that doesn't have a sweet view of Spokane or a yummy coffee shop around the corner. *sigh* Another bonus was that whoever set up the playlist that filled the air that day must have known that I work best while listening to Broken Social Scene, Neutral Milk Hotel and Flaming Lips. Recently, a bad wind storm left me with no Internet at home. The problem is that I'm a work-from-home software dev. Luckily, I was aware of Fellow from a Meetup I had gone to previously. I dropped in and luckily ran into Benji, a co-owner, about getting a drop-in spot. He said just to go to the website and submit the form with my info. I was soon up and running with fast, reliable (hell, existing) Internet and a nice atmosphere in which to work. Later, I talked to Luke about pricing for the drop-in and he said not to worry about it. They were happy to help for the day. +1! I'll definitely be using Fellow in the future if I lose power again, or just get stir crazy working from home all the time. read more

Fellow is a breath of fresh air for Spokane, it's a forward thinking cooperative work space that is amazing for business owners, freelance contractors or anyone looking to collaborate with others. Currently the building is in a state of growth as it acquires new businesses which is pretty exciting. The space is, for the most part, quiet but definitely not a library. There are several break out rooms and conference rooms fully equipped with noise reduction and monitor screens which make meetings so much better. If you're looking for a modern space to work and collaborate then Fellow is perfect for you. If you want that isolated feeling of a cubical that is void of noise other then the sounds of your old 1996 IBM humming since the fan hasn't been cleaned out for over 2 years then look elsewhere. I've been working here on the part-time plan for probably over a year now; and its a great spot. My use case is about 1 day per week; to get out of my electronics lab and around other folks for a bit. Internet is fast, people are friendly, and its easy to drop in and out as needed. Some highlights: * Great coffee on tap * Thursday potluck lunches; these are a great way to meet people over eats * Small 'phone booths' to get away from the main room for a call * Desk space with plenty of chargers; but also more informal seating/couches if you prefer * Hogwash Whiskey Den is just downstairs and Liberty Ciderworks is essentially across the street (OK, not technically a highlight of this spot, but proximity is nice, right?) If you're generally familiar with co-working spaces; you'll find this to be a great example of some of the better elements of such places. Recommend checking it out! read more

This is an amazing naturally lit community workspace where you can work around and near other creative individuals. I have always found Fellow to be clean and quiet. There are many places to choose from for working. I have hosted a few workshops in the space and it is perfect for an event or group. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. I work remotely for a media company and was sick of working from home for nine hours every day. I've tried a couple of different coworking spaces, and this one stuck. It's a huge space, and I like being able to move around, from sitting at a table to the big couches to the (very colorful) privacy booths to the conference room. Whether I need to work quietly, if I want to talk to others over lunch, or need to make a private call, I can. I personally find that I am much more productive at Fellow than I am at home or at a coffee shop, and the energy here is just what I needed. I love the atmosphere of the space -- it's very hip -- and how it makes me feel like a part of Spokane. I'm usually here later at night with the 24/7 access, and it's nice that there are other people around and events going on in the evening. I'd recommend Fellow to anyone looking for somewhere steady to go work and be productive in a really welcoming, fun place. My laundry might be suffering since I'm not working at home anymore, but my career certainly isn't. read more

This is not the office for someone who needs to get work done. There are too many distractions from constant music playing, other occupants constantly wondering around and in an attempt to counteract the office noise, a "white noise machine" plays nonstop which is basically just a speaker playing static. Since the building is still under construction, the constant sawing/hammering/sanding/dragging noises echo throughout and the construction workers are very rude, always asking to be let into the building since they never have their own key. I am concerned in the five months I have been here, the bathrooms have never been cleaned. There doesn't seem to be an official janitor because every morning someone from the Fellow staff is mopping the floors, making the entire office area smell of bleach, then vacuuming. Again, a big distraction. As far as construction goes, there have been multiple instances of the ceiling leaking over the desks. Once the roof caught on fire due to inexperienced construction, needless to say no work was completed that day either. The office area constantly hosts events for the community, which is great, except for the people attempting to get work done. I feel it is very unprofessional to set up for an event where people are attempting to focus. Most events are not picked up by the next working day, leaving the occupants to fend for themselves. While this place looks energetic, it lacks order. In the current state, I cannot recommend this as an office place. If the owners and occupants could be a little more polite about the noise levels and cleanliness, it would help tremendously. read more

This place is a great for me, I loved it, but it may not be for everyone! I worked there for five months from the day they opened in the Cracker Factory building before having to relocate (not my choice). The atmosphere is definitely not the corporate type, it's more like really cool coffee shop you like to work at from time to time. Being there makes you feel like you're apart of something great, yet you need not even know a single person. I can veg out on my work with some light background music and get a lot done, yet I can also get a good break and have someone to chat with or play a quick game of chess. There was a fair amount of construction on other parts of the building going on that was very distracting sometimes, but frankly had nothing to do with Fellow, just a newly renovated building. All of this can of course be overly distracting, especially if you're a lone wolf and need a hushed library environment, but you might be the kind of person that just doesn't do well in a co-working space and you should just stay in your dark basement. Having a good set of noise canceling headphones will serve you very well here! read more
