Spent 90 degree day digging up septic. On the scheduled day driver couldn't get in driveway so he left. Waited three more days next driver ran hose down driveway pumped tanks. Ordered risers for tanks. Paid for risers before the install now no one can find a ticket to when they are being installed. Been told one day then again no ticket. Would love to talk to a Felix employee not someone in who nowhere's. You talk to a CS rep who then forwards info to Felix then wait for a response. Not good customer service. read more

After digging 2 holes to find the tank, (he found it) he could not locate the access cover so he filled in the holes and left saying another crew with locator equipment would be scheduled. A day went by with no phone call to schedule this crew. When I called to find out when they were coming out, the Customer Service rep told me that they would have to put a camera down into my system to locate the access cover for a cost of over $500. I told them to forget it and forget me as a repeat customer. 47 years in this house with the tank being pumped multiple times and never did any technician have difficulty locating the access cover. Apparently being bought out by Wind River means making money by any means they can scam their customers. read more

Tore up the lawn, didn't replace blocking over cover, simply said buy some loam and grass seed. Management was no help either. If I could give zero stars I would! We had a regularly scheduled pumping an Windriver/Felix came out. We were informed our leach field had failed and we immediately contacted the office to do the test pit. We paid for this service and the day it was done their engineer promptly left for vacation the same day only to not return and start our design for a week and a half. Had we been made aware of this prior we would've hired someone else to do the test pit and design since this only prolonged our already major issue. Instead we were stuck waiting for him as we had already paid close to $3k. We had to have them continuously come out during this time to pump us out since our leach field was just draining back into our tank filling it every couple days. When they had come out for our second pumping (11/16) in 3 days we asked the driver as we had 3 days prior (11/13) as well as 2 years ago (12/6/22) when they pumped what were the two large objects floating in our tank. Two years ago they said they weren't sure and left them be, same thing was said on 11/13. Finally on 11/16 when we asked again the driver got a hook and pulled out both our inlet and outlet baffle. Now had this been addressed when we first questioned it on 12/6/22 we quite possibly wouldn't be in the situation we were currently in with a failed leach field. We've also had 3 of their current employees as well as people we know tell us to run and run fast from this company. Their employees have told us Felix used to be a great company but went down the pipes when Windriver took over. That spoke volumes to us! We have been told of a few stories from said employees how they quote people for jobs, sign a contract and then when all said and done they are charged thousands more than what was told to them. We had been getting quotes and talking to other companies after dealing with Windriver for a week and while waiting for them to get our design to us. Each company that we spoke to had no issues with the trees in our yard being in the way to do the work. Windriver on the other hand told us they were in the way and initially said they would subcontract a tree compnay to come remove them but then later said they themselves could "knock them down" at no cost. These are 80-100' tall pine trees! You can't just "knock them down" especially when they are as close to my home as they are(30-50'). They are also a septic company, not a tree company, no one in their right mind would let them do that job. Finally, each time we spoke to their company we were told contradicting things, timelines, etc. When we had originally spoke to Carlos our main point of contact with them, he stated if we needed anything to give him a call. When we did have an issue we tried to call the office but they were unable to help us, so we contacted Carlos, he said he would call us back but yet never did. We had no choice but to call and speak to Ashley in the office again whom Carlos later said gave us inaccurate information and we should've spoke to him. How can we speak to him if he doesn't call when he says he will, and doesn't return messages that we leave for him? Needless to say we are extremely unhappy with our experience with Windriver/Felix and we will not be going back, we have warned anyone we have spoken to that has not already told us a horror story about Windriver to not use them as well. Our system has been replaced at a much lower cost, by a company that was great to work with, honest and went above and beyond what I would even expect. Oh and was able to navigate our trees with their large equipment with no problems at all and no need to "knock them down" or charge us THOUSANDS more to cut them down. read more

I called because my system is failing. Paid $500 for a guy to come for 15 minutes and say yup, it's failing. keep getting bills for $285.31 balanc due. I have the cancelled check to prove I paid $500. they only applied $214.69 to my account Customer service keeps saying they will have someone call me back. no calls back. notes on my account from another persons account. different phone number. oh and the bill says He recommends they call customer to follow up for test pit and design. that hasn't happened. Felix's website says that they have great service at reasonable rates. I can't agree more. In purchasing my house, I had another company lie to me about a service they never performed and I therefore ran into problems. Someone I know recommended Felix. From the first phone call they went above and beyond to locate my problem and fix the situation. The supervisor on the job kept telling me "we got you" and he was right. The price for their time was very reasonable as well. I'm calling them back to do some work in the spring. That says it all when you want a company to come back. I'm forever grateful. In May 2020, after a full house of guests as a result of covid, I decided to pump the septic to be safe and take the stress off the system. After the pumping, the driver called me to say my field failed. I asked what do I do? He said the person that designs the systems in the office will get in touch with you. I waited a few days and emailed (just like I did for the pump scheduling). Then I waited 3 weeks and emailed thru the website portal (just like I've always done). I never heard back, so I had given up. After about 3.5 months a man called and told me this is the first he'd been made aware of the issue, almost like it was my fault. Felix came in with a respectable bid. so did a few others. But then we learned that the others had a laundry list of details that we would need to outsource, as they were NOT included in THEIR scope. I was told someone would be there within 2 hours. The truck pulled up in less than an hour and the driver Paul was very professional. Everything is back to working order again! We had Felix Septic come on an emergency visit, because our drains were suddenly backing up. We obliged to the extra $125 weekend charge, and any other charges for repairs. The technician arrived at 5:00pm and my father showed him where our septic cover is. The cover is a large, 3'x3' concrete slab which is extremely heavy. My father helped the technician lift the cover with a dolly so he could expect the tank vent. He assessed that weeds and dirty had covered the opening, and just dropped the cover back down. The cover immediately cracked into five pieces. The technician said we could buy a new one at Home Depot for $25, so my father just waived the damage and said he could buy a new one, since he was more concerned on having the septic system functioning again. The technician dug out the drain and charged us $150 total, which we wrote a check for, no questions asked. After searching for several days at all the local hardware stores, no septic cover could be found. We called Felix Septic Services back on Monday, and could not speak to the supervisor or manager. Left a message, but did not hear back. Called again and left a message on Tuesday, no call back. Tried again two days later and left another message, no response. On the FOURTH time, my father finally got a hold of a manager named Ryan. My father explained the situation, how the technician dropped the cover and broke it, and how he assured us it would be no problem to pickup a replacement. We explained that we offered to cover damage HIS technician only because we were trying to be helpful because it was a Saturday visit. But he did not seem at all interested in the situation, the damages, or cared that we were doing them a favor. After hearing how this was going, I listened in on the call. Ryan seemed liked he had already made up his mind not to believe anything. He kept saying "You didn't have any problem when the guy was there, you waited 4 days, and now you are complaining?". My father told him "Because your guys told us I could buy a cover for $25, I did not complain but now I cannot find one anywhere, so I am asking you to either get me a cover or reimburse me." He kept telling him the same "you didn't have any problem with..." and we kept explaining him why we waited 4 days (because he wasn't returning our calls). He said he will not "Take a hit for it". Seriously, he said "take a hit" for damage they caused. He even said "My guy came out on a Saturday to help you and now you are complaining?". He was implying like he did a us favor, even though we paid extra for the service. My dad even offered to pay $20 if they could get us a cover. I'm pretty sure we are being beyond reasonable customers. He just flat out refused to even help fix the situation. My father told him that "I could have told his guy that I'll pay after you replace the cover or could have called my bank for a stop payment, but I didn't." I am not sure if he is the manager or the owner. This guy was rude, egotistic, and arrogant, and will likely kill this business by acting like that. I know I'll never call this company again. I'll go one step further and let all my contractor friends know about how they operate. He doesn't want to take a $20 and be responsible for their own accident... well guess what? A $20 "hit" to fix a mistake will now cost them thousands more in potential business from our house alone from routine services, let alone anybody who reads this and hits the Back button to go elsewhere. I don't think they believe in "word of mouth" publicity, or trying to be a local business. We had another local company over to do landscaping after this incident, and the owner saw the cover and asked me about it. I told him what happened and his response was "I am glad you told me. I'm in the process of purchasing a home in Londonderry, NH and ordered a septic inspection from Felix Septic Services. I found the pricing to very reasonable and was extremely satisfied with the experience and would recommend them to anybody. The driver / inspector, Tobey, showed up in a very clean truck (looked like new but wasn't) which indicated to me that the company takes pride in their equipment. He presented himself well, was prompt and was very pleasant, personable and knowledgeable. He had all of the tools that he needed and and went right to work after introducing himself to me. The inspection was very thorough and he showed me everything that he was doing / looking at. If he had any doubt about anything he did not hesitate to dig another hole to solidify his thoughts and findings. He wound up digging 7 holes in total, and did not just rush through the inspection but gave it the time it needed. He took pictures of every hole and showed me everything he looked at. I found this customer service experience to be among the best I have ever had and for that had to write this review (the first I have ever written). Felix inspected our septic system for new home purchase and identified a failed field. They installed a new system and took great care when moving heavy equipment up our long driveway. They were considerate of irrigation systems and did a great job cleaning up- they had to bring in some fill to get the trucks in the back yard and, on the way out, graded and level like pros. They came in today to pump the tank. Found water level is unusually high. Recommend to run camera to see if any crush/clog. The quote is pretty high comparing to another company but I still decide to use them for quick fix, I managed to get some discount by combine camera and snake through together. It turns out we can't run snake since camera found a crush only a few feet away from the tank. But they still insist to charge the full money. After long time negotiation, only come down little bit for 3 min camara work. I'm very disappointed with their way of doing biz. Only care about money. I was a customer for more than 10 yrs. until today. Here is our timeline since 2008. 12-22-2008: $537.50 for pumping plus replacing a bad alarm float. 1-19-2009: $150 to replace alarm. 5-20-2009: $75 to rehang alarm float that had fallen after they had replaced in Dec. 08. 2-12-2010: $125 rehung on/off float which fell causing pump to run for days. 4-6-2011: $240 just a pump. 12-14-2011: $1664 on/off float fallen again causing pump to run for days, this time pump is dead. Replaced with a Goulds 1hp 230V pump. 5-1-2015: $835 Sewage backup in basement. Found tank full, pump dead, alarm float bad and Junction box bad. Replaced float & JB but said pump was only getting 110V. Paid more than $1200 for basement cleanup and $125 for and Electrician to verify we were only wired for 110V. 5-4-2015: $100 to an Electrician to rewire to 230V after talking to Ryan at Felix for days. Verified pump is dead. Quoted $1492 for new pump (same as previous) plus $280 labor. Talked with Ryan again, he admitted they should have known only 110V going to pump back in 2011 and that he would "work with me" on price. 5-6-2015: New pump installed, technician did not know about any agreement and had a bill for. $1772. Called Ryan, was heard to say "so we'll take the labor off" which should be $1492. He came back with a bill for $1600. Have not paid yet and will talk with Ryan tomorrow. Will update this with results. 5-7-2015: Talked with Ryan and after some back and forth he seemed to listen to some of my points. Took $100 off of bill and offered $20 off of next pump. Will pay &1500 but will not be comfortable doing business in the future with Felix. Will look for a new septic company when the next time comes. read more

Frozen Septic Lines - The pipes to and from my septic tank froze in the worst part of the winter, The ground was frozen solid. They found the septic tank hidden under the snow and frozen ground and repaired the lines . Some of the work was in the middle of a snow storm. I called Felix at the recommendation of the plumber that came to our house to diagnose a problem we were having. I called them at 7 p.m. or so, not really expecting that they would answer, but they did. The truck came to our house at 830 pm (!). He found the septic tank and dug the hole for us, cleared a clog at our tank's inlet pipe and pumped the tank (which sorely needed it). All of this, at night, cost only $325. Also, he was very careful to lay the sod nicely aside when he was digging, and he replaced it as well when he was finished. Very polite and friendly guy. What a super company! Sue in the office deserves a raise. She is outstanding in her customer service skills. We never used them before and everyone we dealt with at Felix went out of their way to make sure we were happy with their services. Turned out we needed to replace the riser on our pumping station, and the folks they send out (Tod & Frenchie) were pleasant and efficient. After they replaced the riser, they did a great job in cleaning up the work site. Tobey came out later the same day to pump out the tank and everything was good and the price was right! I just had Felix install a new septic system at my house in Goffstown. I solicited a few quotes to do the design and they were tied for the lowest and didn't charge extra for having to deal with complicating factors like water front, flood plain, or the undersized lot. They designed an "Enviro-Septic" system which is a newer technology that allows a smaller system. They chased down multiple waivers that were required, including trying to locate previous owners of the house to prove to the state that it always had the current number of bedrooms. When all the previous owners turned out to have passed, they were able to get the town to write a document to placate the state. After the design was done and approved, their quote to do the installation was so reasonable that I didn't bother getting other quotes. The installation went off without a hitch even though it was in the middle of January. Throughout the entire process they repeatedly proved their expertise in the technical, procedural, and even political challenges involved in difficult situations. A couple of times the communication lagged a bit, but they were apparently having some issues with their email system. Overall I am extremely pleased with the cost and level of service and would recommend Felix Septic to anyone. read more
