Beware of Feldco. I bought a house with feldco windows. 2 windows do not lock. 2 do not stay open and they did not remove the old casement on one window rendering the feldco window useless. I can't even open the old window, and I can't use the feldco window. read more

I just want to update my review from late last month (met with salesman on (6/19). I've spoken to Michael from the company multiple times. I talked to him again yesterday regarding my refund (that I had to request in just three days from appt) and then he told me there is a seven day hold on checks even though they cashed it on June 20 (it is out of my account) and he claims it is not in their account yet. I call hockey pucks on that because it's from Chase so it's not like it's a flyby night bank. Anyway, he had advised me yesterday to stop payment on the check, but of course I can't do that because they cashed it. So supposing I have to wait seven days, that's today and they cut checks every Tuesday. Why am I then being told I have to wait another week just for it to be cut? Ridiculous. They have my money yet won't give it back to me in a timely manner. I would stay far away from this company for any of the services they offer. There are plenty of other reputable options. read more

10-2024: What about headache!!! It's been 10 months of calling and complaining to get this company to fix their screw ups. And it's still not done. They've sent 4 crews out here and each has made it worse than the last. It would be easier to pull teeth than to get them to call back with updates or schedule someone to come out to fix the mess they've created. The small fixes that needed to be done are now major issues. They actually came out one time to fix an area of siding that needed to be attached properly. They removed the siding and installation and left it for 6 weeks exposed to the elements during the rainy season. Our home was built in the 1920s. I decided to add some pics so others can see what to avoid by choosing a different company. The attached pics are current. The product is fantastic but it doesn't matter how great the product is if its install is a mess. We've called other contractors to fix it but they can't fix it until next summer. We have j-channels falling off, siding torn by the crew, spicket covers hanging and huge gaps in the window material (every window) and they are not sealed. 12-2023: Falco finally put the siding on the house right before Christmas. The crew did a okay job. There are still some areas that they need to fix and have yet to come out and do so. Their tech had come out over a month ago to check out the areas that needed work, but no action or follow-ups have been done since. It's definitely not the weather because we have had very little snow and mild temperatures this season. We are extremely disappointed, you would figure for the price that you pay for the siding. They would treat you better! ------------------------ We are very disappointed with Feldco. We signed our contract to have our siding installed on Aug 2, 2023. At the time the salesman was very professional but once we signed our contract and gave them our deposit (which was over half the contract amount),we seemed to have been forgotten. It is now, November 29, 2023 and have not had our siding installed, nor any idea when it will be. Their contract says that the siding would be installed within 8-12 weeks. The salesman told us that we would be contacted by them by the end of September to the beginning of October. When we didn't hear from them by the end of October, we had to call them 3 times before receiving a call back. We then were told that they were waiting on parts and would be taking care of within 2 weeks. We are now at week 18 and have not received a phone call from Feldco. We again are forced to call them to get the status of our installation. We called yesterday morning and were told that someone would be contacting us by end of day to answer our questions. We have not received that phone call and have left another message. We wanted to have the new siding installed prior to winter hitting due to the old siding on the back of our house ripped off by high winds but obviously that has not happened. We received snow last week. Feldco has no problem on taking your money for what seems to be a wonderful product but their communication and timeliness is lacking greatly. read more

Needed new windows in our sunroom. 12 to be exact. Shopped around and felt they had the best price and value. After the salesman left, he said they would be in touch with us after the windows were manufactured (they are made at their own factory). We waited about a month and a half, and they were delivered as promised (and installed on the same day)! Excellent workmanship the installers were courteous, kind, and answered all our questions. Are they even picked up all of their work mess and dispose that along with our old windows. Spent a lot of money for windows. They had to redo all the metal trim after a very bad install. The second time they installed trim they did a a pretty bad job on all the caulking around trim. One of the crew said it was his first time, i recommended they all watch YouTube videos and practice before they show up on a $50k job. They charged me price on several window for upgrades that they weren't supposed to. Find another company that has low turnover on employees ... from the time we started project, the salesman quit, the managers quit twice. They showed up with improper tools ... they literally bunjie corded ladders together to reach the high windows, I was surprised no one was injured read more

We haven't even used this company yet and I already hate them. I simply filled something out online to get a quote and they have called me FOUR TIMES in 4 1/2 hours. Our estimator was not it. He never knocked our door and walked up to our window to greet us. It took him forever to walk in our house and he didn't wear a mask or at least have one handy. As someone who lives with two people who have auto-immune disorder it was mad disrespectful. He then judged us heavily for not only having a pet ferret, and that the reason our window broke is because our stripper pole went through the window. He then talked down to us for the rest of the visit, before he had us call Feldco to cancel our appointment because "it wasn't needed". Never will use Feldco in the future, I rather not be judged for my career that WAS going to be paying his paycheck. Edit post Patti's comment: The fact that you only bring up why the appointment could not be completed, which we understood and complied with, shows how shitty your customer service is. It was the attitude and terrible customer service of your rep that left a sour taste in my mouth. The way he talked down to us, or the way that everything that came out of his mouth sounded rude and judgmental was not it. From other reviews and how many stars you guys have, I am very glad I did not go with your company anyway. I much rather go with someone who does a good job and cares about their clients. Feldco just finished with our new roof and siding job. Gary, the salesman was great and helped us select the right colors to match. Tim, who coordinated the project, kept us fully informed throughout the process. Bernie came out to look at the project and added some thoughts that were all implemented and added to the overall look in a really nice way. Finally, we cannot say enough good about all three crews, Roof, Siding and Gutters. All were very detail oriented and did a great job cleaning up after the work was done. EDIT 8/8/2016: In regards to Patti F's comment: Another fine example of communication and customer service when dealing with this company. Yes, they offered to re-caulk/recap the windows only after a series of events. I was emailed pictures of "good caulking" which was supposed to prove to me the lack of knowledge I had on the subject of caulking. After researching and finding the same photos online, some photos were actually linked to articles that explicitly said not to use white caulk against brick, which is exactly what Feldco did. That's the only reason why they agreed to re-caulk. Then after talking a good game of what would be done to fix the problem, the installation team came by (after the first no-show) and had no idea what was communicated to us by the ops manager. They said the best they could do was go over the white caulk with brown caulk which made the windows look even worse than they do now. Finally, if you think offering a $67 discount on over a $10k+ job is considered customer service, you're insane. Let me ask if you'd pay or settle for this type of "professional" work done to your home? And if not, would $67 allow you to fix the problem? Plus, there was NO proof as to how that amount was even derived. I'm just supposed to accept this shady company's word after months of being lied to? I still vividly remember saying if this issue cannot be resolved, I will be reviewing my experience throughout social media to which Michael Sands responded with an arrogant, "please do!" So, that is what I'm doing. It sounds like from other reviews that this is an on-going theme with this company. ---- Very upset with dealing with this company's unprofessional work and condescending customer service. We had 20 replacement windows installed in April. It took them four hours to install. Upon completion, it was evident that the windows were poorly manufactured and installation was rushed. The first thing we noticed was light shining through the seams of the windows, and second, the caulking around the windows looked like sloppy icing on a gingerbread house. When we called to voice our concern, two operations managers came out and basically told us that the light coming through the seams can be resolved by replacing some felt stickers (I can't wait for winter...). Regarding the sloppy caulk: we didn't know what we were talking about. "In my 18 years in this industry, that's the best you're gonna get." and then asked us to prove to them on the spot where we've seen better. I was livid. Fast forward all the emails, phone calls, missed appointments where nobody showed up, we finally asked if they could just honor their BOGO promotion that occurred right after our installation at 30% off. Michael Sands, regional ops manager, calls to tell me he will honor it, and the difference between the two promos is ...$67! Of course he doesn't and will not provide the math. For that $67 to be mathematically true, we would've paid $9.57 a window. He tells me his directors will not allow anything else. I ask to speak to his director, and he tells me he can't disclose their contact information. This company, on top of its unprofessional installation work, should get audited for unfair pricing practices. Working with Feldco was a first-rate experience. Our salesman (John)was always on time and had every bit of information I asked for, as well as a great sample window with him which he explained in detail from construction to operation. He did not over promise on installation time... but they actually beat our installation request time by a week or so. Installation was done by Tony and his partner. As professional as they get. Courteous... Knowledgeable and fast! And, they completely cleaned up after themselves. I don't see how they could have been better! Set up the time for an estimate ... that came and went... called back about 30 minutes later after the person didn't show up. I then waited on hold forever. Once someone answered she called the technician who was supposed to show up and he was sick so the appointment was cancelled. Disappointed with installation and lack of corrective actions. Issues: 1. Bay window was installed (6/10/15) crooked/unlevel, not anchored to the roof rafters, poorly caulked. 2. Other windows were poorly caulked 3. A damaged screen was installed 4. A fair amount of debris was left for me to clean up (insulation, metal trimmings, paint chips, wood pieces...) I am a third time customer. I replaced 12 windows and very disappointed by the way Feldoco is not taking corrective action to reset the Bay window so that it is level. I asked for payment to be delayed until the issue was corrected. The next day, the charges were put through. I was assured by the salesman that the window would be reset and issues corrected in a timely manner. The following week, a tech was sent out to confirm "my concerns" (which he did), since then, no follow-up or response. It has been over a month since installation. Very disappointed with the poor customer service I am receiving. I will be posting this on every review site I can find and will begin the process to dispute the charges with my credit card company. read more

Don't fall for the 2 for 1 deal currently being advertised. The windows aren't good quality. You have a lifetime warranty on replacing the window if needed but you have to pay a service fee after a year. We already had one replaced and are having problems with another. I refuse to pay a service fee after only having the window for 25 months. We will be getting new windows for the second level but not with Feldco. Awful company to work with!!!! read more

We had Feldco come for an estimate on some very old doors and windows in our home. The salesman was on time, courteous, knowledgable, and broke down the pricing in a way that made sense. The price was reasonable (on the higher end of the spectrum but for something like doors and windows, you definitely get what you pay for!) and we signed that night. Later that same week, we had the official measurement and 4 short weeks later, our doors and windows were installed. Three large windows and replacement of a glass block window with a regular sliding window took about 4 hours and complete replacement of our front and back doors took about 8 hours. We were happy with the job. Both installation guys were courteous, happy to answer questions we had and went over all the new features and safety precautious. They cleaned up after themselves very well and left the inside and outside of the house as if they were never there. I'd happy recommend to a friend. Just know that it's an investment. Not a company to go for a cheap fix! read more

I have never been more disappointed with a company in my life! In May, 2018 I called to have a Feldco representative come to my home for an estimate on a patio door. My husband and I placed the order the same day and had someone come out within a week to measure the opening. I was told that I would be contacted within a week to schedule the installation; that did not happen so I called to schedule. The first installation was scheduled for July 2nd: I received a call that the installer was ill and the installation needed to be rescheduled to the following Friday, The installers arrived with the wrong door. I spoke with several people that day and the next week, and I was assured the correct door would be expedited. I received one follow up call but as of today, I have no door and I made the follow up call. I have worked in the service industry for over 40 years and cannot understand a company manager finds this acceptable. Starting from our initial quote, our experience with Feldco was fantastic. The salesman was knowledge, fun, and friendly. With a known name, warranties, and a great price we made a great decision going with Feldco for our new windows. As for the instillation, the two men arrived on time and finished sooner than we had expected. They were kind and courteous of our home. Although we said it was not necessary, the installers noticed our carpet was brand new and took off their shoes when they came in. Our windows have been in for a week now and everything looks beautiful and functions properly. We expect that we will be pleased far into the future. The sales pitch was fantastic and the guy was amazing. Really nice, patient, thorough, and helpful. I was put off by the hard sale at the end though..."I can give you this great deal if you make a decision in 3 days, after that your price goes up to ___." Even at Feldco's lowest price, Home Sealed was cheaper and the product was really comparable (but we will have to wait an extra couple of weeks for installation). Eventually we made the decision to go with Home Sealed, but if we had been in a pinch and needed the windows ASAP...Feldco would've gotten our business in a heartbeat. read more

If I could give this company a zero star, I would!!!!! They are absolutely awful. They did our windows and every single part of it from the beginning to the end was awful. The workers didn't speak english, they showed up two hours late and then they broke out all the windows at once so there were bugs getting in instead of doing one window at a time. They didn't even screw any of the basement windows in. They also used the wrong color caulk and were working in the dark because they showed up so late. We ended up having 3 different teams come out, each one worst than the last. It took over THREE MONTHS for this project to be complete. My husband and I wanted a new side door. The salesman told us we could get door with screen door in the size we wanted. Requested 33inch door with side lite. When the came out to take measurements they ordered 30 inch door. The door is not what we wanted and they will not do anything for us. It is called to bad so sad. Also got wrong storm door . In a time where customer service takes a back seat to, well, just about anything, Feldco provided a quality product, prompt installation, clear communication and customer-centered service like few other companies I've dealt with. Installers were fast, clean and courteous. The one hint I'd prepare for when dealing with Feldco is to have a number in mind before their salespeople visit. Get a competitive quote or two first because they will incentivize/pressure you into signing a contract on the spot. I get it ... they want to save trip charges and so forth ... We got new windows installed and our installer (Chuck) was terrific! Great with my kids, which is important, did a fantastic job on my windows. We had a picture window replaced. The first thing they did was break a 500 pound window in the house while taking it out. There was glass all over. Secondly, the workmanship is terrible. I would never hire them again. They use subcontractors and they don't really care. Only plus was when I called and complained about the glass they sent someone out to clean it up. Our experience with Feldco was not great. We ordered 6 replacement windows. They came in within 3 weeks. They went to install them- 3 windows came with the wrong screens and the other 3 came with the wrong color grids. Contacted my sales representative about my issues, I never heard from him again. I contacted the corporate office and got the manager's name for the local office and after playing phone tag for serval days. They reorder the windows, three weeks later they came back with the correct screens, but AGAIN wrong window grids. WAIT another 2 weeks; they come back out AGAIN wrong window grids. WAIT another 2 weeks, they come back FINALLY with the correct windows, but they didn't bring a ladder to install them. WAIT another week, FINALLY got them installed, but know I noticed that they did a poor job caulk around one of the windows, so they have to come back out AGAIN! KEEP IN MIND, during this whole time, I'm playing phone tag to set up appointments, I'm taking time out of my busy schedule EVERYTIME they need to come back and wait for them to come within the set up time frame. Did they fix the problems, yes, after many, many phone calls and being persistent. One mistake is human, this is IMCOMPETENCE! You are better off going somewhere else. read more

We put windows on our entire house including a patio door. The delivery time frame was exactly what they stated. It was very cold outside and the install crew (3 of them) started upstairs, middle level, then the patio door. They kept everything very clean and picked up right after each install. We had a "Wisconsin" patio door that was 75" so we choose to get a standard door of 71" to save some money. We were told that it would be built in to the existing door frame, it was. Once my husband saw it, he thought it was done very poorly and off centered. I called, Feldco set up an appt to come and look at. My husband explained that he thought it would be buildt in and his expectations. Feldco set up another appt to fix it the way we had asked. Two of the crew men came back and fixed it EXACTLY the way we wanted. We are very pleased with our windows, patio door, and the service that we received from all of the different individuals that dealt with. I would recommend Feldco windows and their services. I also got 6 other estimates, had 4 other companies come to our house and show us their product. We paid a little bit more for Feldco windows but the quality is well worth it.
