    sloppy caulk done by Feldco
    Tiff W.

EDIT 8/8/2016: In regards to Patti F's comment: Another fine example of communication and customer service when dealing with this company. Yes, they offered to re-caulk/recap the windows only after a series of events. I was emailed pictures of "good caulking" which was supposed to prove to me the lack of knowledge I had on the subject of caulking. After researching and finding the same photos online, some photos were actually linked to articles that explicitly said not to use white caulk against brick, which is exactly what Feldco did. That's the only reason why they agreed to re-caulk. Then after talking a good game of what would be done to fix the problem, the installation team came by (after the first no-show) and had no idea what was communicated to us by the ops manager. They said the best they could do was go over the white caulk with brown caulk which made the windows look even worse than they do now. Finally, if you think offering a $67 discount on over a $10k+ job is considered customer service, you're insane. Let me ask if you'd pay or settle for this type of "professional" work done to your home? And if not, would $67 allow you to fix the problem? Plus, there was NO proof as to how that amount was even derived. I'm just supposed to accept this shady company's word after months of being lied to? I still vividly remember saying if this issue cannot be resolved, I will be reviewing my experience throughout social media to which Michael Sands responded with an arrogant, "please do!" So, that is what I'm doing. It sounds like from other reviews that this is an on-going theme with this company. ---- Very upset with dealing with this company's unprofessional work and condescending customer service. We had 20 replacement windows installed in April. It took them four hours to install. Upon completion, it was evident that the windows were poorly manufactured and installation was rushed. The first thing we noticed was light shining through the seams of the windows, and second, the caulking around the windows looked like sloppy icing on a gingerbread house. When we called to voice our concern, two operations managers came out and basically told us that the light coming through the seams can be resolved by replacing some felt stickers (I can't wait for winter...). Regarding the sloppy caulk: we didn't know what we were talking about. "In my 18 years in this industry, that's the best you're gonna get." and then asked us to prove to them on the spot where we've seen better. I was livid. Fast forward all the emails, phone calls, missed appointments where nobody showed up, we finally asked if they could just honor their BOGO promotion that occurred right after our installation at 30% off. Michael Sands, regional ops manager, calls to tell me he will honor it, and the difference between the two promos is ...$67! Of course he doesn't and will not provide the math. For that $67 to be mathematically true, we would've paid $9.57 a window. He tells me his directors will not allow anything else. I ask to speak to his director, and he tells me he can't disclose their contact information. This company, on top of its unprofessional installation work, should get audited for unfair pricing practices. I'm hoping this review will prevent others from experiencing what we've been through dealing with them.

This is how my home is after 5 weeks of work one man doing install twice he had a helper left Friday .

Tried to cancel and missed cutoff by 15 hours, so they charged us 10%! Will never use this company in the future.

A friend, who had a high-end house, had his windows and patio door replaced by HomeSealed with Okna products, a brand I had never heard of. I was so impressed with the quality and looks of his windows and patio door, I called HomeSealed and arranged for replacements. I love the windows. It's 0 degrees F right now, and I can run my hand around the windows, and not a draft anywhere. Same with the patio door. The windows are easy cleaning, they lock securely, and the install job was great, with little damage to exiting trim. Great warranty too and an easy online service portal if something is not right. I had rental units and used a discount window company for replacements, and those windows failed frequently. You get what you pay for, and this is an investment that will last many years and pay for itself in fuel savings. If you have the funds for Pella or Anderson's best, you ought to check out Okna. If you're thinking about windows from a big-box store, good luck if there's an install problem, or parts/ warranty service are needed.

To put in perspective: Home Depot installed the highest end Simonton windows possible with the specs requested and came in at around $7k installed. Which means that HomeSealed has excessive profits padded in. So...if you don't care about the money side, they might be perfectly fine to work with as a local outfit. EDIT: laminated was requested as a cost compare option, not a requirement. Even if laminated were a requirement, Home Depot's was still cheaper by over $3k. Fact is - as we said - HomeSealed is just priced higher because they don't use every manufacturer, they only use the ones they use, which tend to lean the higher cost. That's what we said: they might be fine at their job and you might want the best of whatever, maybe they're fine. BUT...if you're like 95% of homeowners who feel that significant pricing differences for basic things like colors is illogical, HomeSealed isn't for you.

Mark was extremely responsive via phone and email and was always friendly and professional. I never felt rushed when we met or to sign a contract. He made sure all my questions were answered. Part of my project involved an insurance claim, and Mark was proactive in attending every meeting with the insurance adjuster. He was also very knowledgeable of the insurance process which was extremely helpful. Even given the mix of insurance requirements in this project, he managed a tight and complex timeline with great efficiency. The teams responsible for the roof, siding, and gutters were all professional and friendly. He was present throughout the project and installation. After each phase, he took the time to tidy up the work area, which I greatly appreciated. Additionally, Mark's pricing was competitive, if not better, than other quotes I received. The roofing products he uses are of much higher quality, providing fantastic value for the price.

If he has worked with this group of guys for ten years, why has his company only been incorporated since 1-2-2024. What was the name of previous company and why are reviews from 2024-25 only? Second project- Bay window ordered, said it would arrive on October 2nd to their warehouse. I had to call the day before install (October 13th) to find out what time they would arrive, and they didn't even receive the bay window yet and need to push the install. No call to tell me it was delayed! Install went well until I noticed the poor quality wood they used for the bay window frame (huge gouges in the wood) and crack in corner of the bay window. Salesperson was totally disengaged and did not follow up as I would expect. Absolutely horrible customer severs, only one person has the answers and they are not easy to get a hold of. Attempted to take the window screen off the garage window for winter I then noticed that the installer had caulked my window screen to the window frame. This was extremely alarming as this is very basic to do and to understand that caulk doesn't belong there. I asked to speak with the owners multiple times and finally called me in December and I had to explain everything to him and he didn't even have my file in front of him. I negotiated and they only would offer a discount if I signed an Non-disclosure agreement, very sketchy practice. This is how they maintain a good review/rating! This has been a extremely disappointing experience, especially as a returning customer who didn't' have best experience the first time. Lesson learned! I will not be reaching out to them for my future big money projects like the siding and roofing of my home and neither should you! They should hire more customer service people and skilled installers and stop spending their company money on the annoying TV adds. I made that very clear to the scheduler. The scheduler confirmed that that could be done. I subsequently received an email confirming the appointment. Sure enough, an estimator arrived 20 minutes late without any equipment. He was downright rude when I complained, saying "no one does business that way." I told him that Guardian was put on notice at least twice that I was not interested in a two step process. I would not have bothered taking time off from work had they simply told me they required a two step process. At my request, the manager called me, and I explained the situation. She was pleasant on the phone and said that she would she she could find someone in the organization to address the issue. I forwarded the earlier email for her records. She promptly acknowledged receipt. That was all two weeks ago. I never heard from her again. She did not respond to three follow-up emails of increasing urgency. Workers were very diligent and hard-working. The project managers had to deal with extra problems that were uncovered when the old roof was taken off - many layers and uneven spots, for which we did pay extra. Our problem is with the follow up. While our manager/site boss - not exactly sure what his title is -was communicative during the process and did come back to follow up with some debris that was left in the gutter, etc. we told him that our large front bush got damaged. He assured us that they have a company that they work with, and that he would have them get in touch with us. That was three months ago, and I have sent him five texts, none of which were answered. While the roof itself seems fine, the lack of follow-up communication does not bode well for potential future problems.
