So, since our house needed to be painted, we decided to give the contract to them to paint the exterior of our 1927 home which has a lot of trim work, railings, finials, etc. Another great job completed on schedule and within budget. We even had them do a few extra fixes to long-standing problems other contractors either created or never fixed properly like a bathroom vent, etc. We've worked with lots of contractors for small jobs to entire "gut rehabs" and more important than price (though they are very competitive), Matt and his team are honest, attentive, and committed to ensuring your job is done properly and with integrity - not common among the contractors we've worked with over the years. I had to initiate a formal hearing brought against Harbor Homes with MA State Board of Licensing. The licensing board found unsatisfactory business practices and assessed fines against them. I feel for the poor people using them.

Bottom line there was no supervision at all. Never the same subs. Absolutely no pride taken in their work. Harbor homes put a wooden tent sign on our yard for advertising. Somehow it fell over and sat in the mud for over six months. That says it all. We have started a support group for irate hh customers who have all had the same experiences with these people. Never have we seen such dishonest, immoral, disrespectful and unprofessional people. None of us can figure out how they stay in business. Do not use them!!!!! Highly dishonest, but worse, horrible builders!!!

After the project was done, I brought several packages back to Garcia Tile, very heavy packages, the guy looks at me like I was a ghost, all the salesman friendliness and warmth gone. Then he says several times, "We told you there was a 30-day return policy." As in, our ass is covered, we're not going to lose any profit on this deal. He sure didn't say it several times when we bought the tile, maybe he said it once to my wife. If I had heard that, the return deadline would have immediately gone on my Google calendar, maybe I would have even delayed the purchase.
