I ordered a case of wine for $250 in April 2023 with intent to serve Feist Wines at my wedding (July 2023). Susan was very responsive when executing the sale, but quickly became unresponsive when I contacted her to check the status of my shipment. My wedding date came and went without any response from Susan. It's been two years and I've still not gotten any wine or refund. I've called, emailed, instagrammed, and texted repeatedly. She always responds with apologies and a promise to do it that day, but she's never followed through. She's stolen $250 and apparently has no intention of refunding me what I spent. Buyer beware, this owner has no respect for paying customers and will steal from you! read more

So my husband and I love wine tasting in Sutter Creek and we did visit this tasting room a couple of years ago when it resided in Sutter Creek and though they had a beautiful patio area, I wasn't impressed with the wine selection at that time nor service. I don't know who the server was but she was very unfriendly and just didn't seem to want our business. We visited again this year for their Valentines dinner and entertainment....they had a local musician serenading the crowd, the staff was very friendly, the food was excellent, wine was great and the musician was talented! Now the tasting room.....it's pretty shabby on the outside but shabby chic on the inside....We loved it!!! We will be back! read more

We live in Jackson and stopped here to hear the band - the band was great and then we noticed the pizza - also great - the wines are very nice - service is on par - the only challenge is parking- limited and a busy pass through ( it would be okay if people slowed down but apparently no one minds the speed limits in Amador County) I would go back for sure read more

If you're lucky enough to pop in for a tasting when Pam is serving, you're in for a treat. My friend and I stopped in here on a quiet afternoon and enjoyed a tasting flight of the Viognier, house red, vintage Barbera, and Barbera Zinfandel blend, filled in by some great local history and wine education from Pam. All four wines we tried were excellent, and I had to pack a bottle with me to take home to New York. The atmosphere at Feist is almost too cute: tucked away in a side street in Sutter Creek, there are plenty of wooden tables and comfy bar stools with an area in the front for live music (we have to come back on a weekend someday!) Best of all, dogs are allowed so you can bring your best friend AND your human friends. We'll be back! read more

So: I'm conflicted. It's my fault for waiting so long to get food. I was going to get pizza across the street, but didn't want to be "that asshole" that walks in two minutes before closing. I hear some good blues/old rock n roll coming from here (Feist) so I go check it out. Aaaand here's the big con: $30 for an ok pizza that an adorable dog sat next to me and begged for (do I feed it? Whose dog is this? Oh well. It's a sweet dog.) I must explain a bit: the pizza was mediocre and the spicy sausage wasn't spicy, and while I just wanted food, I was charged a $10 cover fee. Fuck it. Might as well get a beer. So $55 later (including tax and tip) I'm sitting here like....I better make the most of it, and everyone here has been SUPER nice (even that one awkward confrontation of the "can I touch your hair" variety that worked out ok. Some people just really don't know any better....) I mean....I'm having fun? But....I'd never eat here again. And I'm reviewing the venue, not the band and patrons. read more

This small tasting room has a lot to offer. Just off Old Hwy 49 and across from a nice parking area. There is a long tasting bar and guests often linger over a bottle of wine and enjoy wood fired pizza or a cheese and charcuterie tray. There is a courtyard area for seating as well as a couch to lounge. We trend the Bianca with mushrooms and greens pizza. The Pissarro was good but I was not sure if they placed olive oil on top or if it was the cheese that made it so oily. There was live music so that might be the reason for so many people hanging out. Saving best for last. This wine shop has an amazing charcuterie plate. The salami is out of this world. The wine and cheese pairing was not to be missed. The place is tucked away and often has nice music. On a hot day Abby came in with me, we probably spent an hour wine tasting and cheese pairing. The owner grew up in Berkeley and knew lots of bay area restaurants. Her wine is served at Salt house and Town Hall, among other SF restaurants but cannot usually be purchased in shops. I would absolutely come back to drink and to pick up a bottle or two afterwards. The best wine shop in town if you ask me. read more

We stopped in Feist for a cheese plate after having a wine tasting down the road. We each chose to get a single glass of wine to go with our cheese as well. The cheese plate was somewhat lackluster in its options but what was there was super tasty. The tasting room itself was small and rustic, but charming in its ambiance and I liked the outdoor area as well. In the middle of a week day, we were the only people in there and it felt... strange. Almost like we were intruding. I'm definitely not willing to write this spot off quite yet because the things we did try were tasty, if not underwhelming. I think it's probably worth the stop if you're on a wine tasting tour of Sutter Creek and I'd definitely be keen to try more of their wine options! read more

Went here this weekend, 2 older women were dancing in the entrance, we tried to get through but they ignored us. We just basically pushed through assuming they were drunk. EVERYONE was staring at us like if we were the first brown people they've ever seen (Hispanic). They had live music that was kind of odd, I'm not sure what genre it was. As we went inside, we were hit by a massive bleach smell. It threw off my appetite but we went in to try the wine and maybe become members since we like supporting our local businesses. 2 people in there did not greet us for about 10 min. They acted like they were too busy (literally doing nothing) and ignored us. We were dressed causal but nice. We got the feeling that we weren't welcome in this place. This is the first time we've felt this in our new town. I hate to assume it was a racial issue, but my wife and I quietly had that feeling. It's too bad because we just built a wine cellar and we were looking to fill it with local wines. read more

I don't normally write negative reviews, but staff at wine tasting rooms are usually friendly. I wasn't expecting to be handed a flight with no description of the wines. I have no idea if this winery grows its own grapes or if they use suppliers from Amador or somewhere else. They were out of Barbera. I did end up buying a bottle, and the $10 tasting fee wasn't waived. This is also unusual for tasting rooms in this area. I'll be trying out other tasting rooms on future visits. read more

Cute little area and pretty good wine, just was surprised that we were still charged a $10 each tasting fee even after we purchased 3 bottles of their wine when most places waive that fee. read more

Excellent wines, the inside decor was lovely, and food presentation was classy. We enjoyed the food, conversation, and wines very much. It is great to have such friendly locals every place you go. Sutter Creek is an adorable town filled with antique shops and locally sourced wine tasting rooms. Quite a few actually, but Feist definitely takes the grape! Tucked away on a side street, the cozy indoor-outdoor spot offers live music, an array of old vine wines (Rose ALL day!) and friendly staff. BTW - did I mention a tasting was only $5, and waived if you buy a bottle. Even more reason to return to this gold nugget! We will be back, Feist! read more

The grounds, atmosphere and wine are great. However, seems to be quite overpriced at least when ordering by the glass. We were served in the small tasting glasses. We've been in the past and we're served in normal glasses. Not worth $10 a glass in my opinion for a couple ounces. I guess you would be better off buying a bottle. read more

Meagan, from Golden Acorn Farms, was actually our server for their own slow roasted pork, roasted potatoes and a great salad. Everything was seasoned just right and in perfect proportions. Absolutely love this place. Happened upon it when taking my daughter out for her bachelorette, my niece is in a wheelchair so they served us all our tasting on their beautiful patio cause we couldn't do the stairs. They didn't have to but we're awesome. Wines are amazing! Love the Feisty Red!. Went back for a second visit with my husband and company and they were still fantastic! Friendly, open, great venue. We happened to be walking by on a Saturday sight and discovered they have live music in the tasting room! The only tasting room open in the evening, it is a gem. We had their wildfire pizza, sat on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful night with music and great friendly service. We became members cause it just was perfect. read more

This is a small and unassuming yet lovely wine tasting spot. I'd definitely recommend stopping here during a visit or on your way to Murphys like we did. I believe the man on deck was the owner, named Ken? He was very nice to us early birds. I pretty much liked all the reds, their Mourvedre being the most memorable. I don't think I personally cared for the whites, because I can't remember any of them. To be honest I would have liked to hear information or a story about the wines that were poured. I think we might have stayed a little longer had there been more engaging of conversation. Either way, it was a great place to visit and I'd stop by again. read more

This owner stole more that $200 from me and has repeatedly failed to return phone calls. In February I paid in full for a 3 bottle yearly membership along with food for the day and some tastings. I have yet to get anything beyond my original 3 bottles and have tried calling over and over. I have left messages and now the tasting room is closed. We stumbled upon this gem in the hills on a Friday night when they happened to have live jazz and space on the patio! My wife and I spent a couple hours enjoying the wonderful live music and small batch wine. The Cheese/Charcuterie Combo was fabulously decadent and the wine was superb! Great, relatively new (within the last year if i remember correctly) tasting room on the main street of Amador City, just a few miles from Sutter Creek. A couple owns the tasting room and are typically there, but we visited during Open House weekend in Amador City and Sutter Creek, so there was a very friendly, informative family friend running the show. Was a great experience in person but once we ordered some bottles to be delivered it went downhill fast. Due to the hot weather at the time we were told it may take longer than usual. Totally understandable. However, I did not expect a little bit longer to turn into five months later. Not only was the original order not sent out, when the owner was asked about it she was less than apologetic about the situation. Then, even after admitting it was never sent in the first place it still took more than a month for it to be received. I'm more than forgiving of mistakes but I feel as though it was handled poorly and what was supposed to be a birthday gift ended up coming so late it might as well of been a Christmas gift at this point. Edit: Also adding that she didn't receive the entire order either. Only one out of two bottles she was supposed to receive. About to give up on receiving the rest and just take my loss with this business. read more

Horrid service and the unexpected pleasure of receiving eye rolls! We had reservations and confirmations. When asking for service, the standard reply was "we'll get to you", and they never did. After spending over 100 dollars on food and wine they asked us to pay a 5 dollar per head fee for sitting outside near the band. We had to squish inside....we also could hear the band still so the 5 dollar charge would have been worthless. We waited for our food for about 40 minutes while watching other tables get their food first. Even after the wait we got all of our food at different times. There's a small and fun tasting room in downtown Amador City, where the knowledgable and friendly hosts pour a great Zinfandel, an award winning Barbera, and a lively and fresh Chardonnay.
