    Pork dumplings
    Monnet S.

The dumplings are off the chain!!! Omg, delicious! If this rating was only for dumplings, it'd be a 5. We also tried the sushi, which was justi was ok, probably a 2, salmon didn't taste very fresh... We tried the Singapore fried noodles too, and I give it a 2-3. Noodles were soggy and not as crisp as I like and the sauce was overpowering... I will for sure go back, but next time will only order dumplings The service was great, very friendly and enjoyed the craft of making the dumplings. Ambiance was typical, nothing really stood out.

Combo vegetarian meal with noodles, bao bun, sesame pancake, rice, and dumplings I think.

This place is great as far as vegan and vegetarian selections- lots of food to try. It's also one of the few Asian places with more street food options in town. I got a combo meal, which is a great concept to have variety and be able to try lots of things. Unfortunately, the noodles and veggies are very plain, and some of the fried foods were greasy. I liked some of the flavors and the idea of it, but not the execution.

Super good family style food!! My friend and I were full and had plenty of leftovers. The couple who runs the place are so nice and attentive. We went around 11:30 and were the only customers for a bit. Super casual ambience, perfect for a nice lunch stop.

Wonderful Taiwanese lady who runs this place. I've been looking for authentic Asian food and I'm so glad I found Fei's cafe. The lady used 5o run a restaurant near UNM but closed it down to temporarily return home to take care of her family...and is now back in business cooking Taiwanese street food in ABQ again. Te menu is small and a bit limited, mostly what you can get as street food in Taiwan (youtiao, xiaolongbao, pork buns, dumplings, etc). But..the catch is..she takes the time to cook the meals herself! It's homecooking and not storebought! So, given she has to cook things fresh and is the only one running the cafe, please be kind and understanding that it may take a while to get your food...but yes..this place is original Asian food..and helps curb my desire for authentic Chinese food quite effectively. P.S. the lady is so kind..My first time at the cafe, I spent some time having a conversation with her. She even gave me some free snacks that she just made ro try. The subsequent visits..shr already remembers me!!

Ordered a few things to go. Love the pork meat bun! It's very flavorful and a lot bigger than a Xiao Long Bao. The meat is juicy and very well-seasoned. Bun itself is moist and just the right amount of dough. I also ordered cold sesame noodles, fried tofu and pork stew rice w/egg. What a nice hidden gem in Albuquerque! Owner is very nice too. Owner very kind, came little bit after it opened for quick lunch before going back to work. Found on Yelp, first time. Always hoping for good Asian food around here. Went with the 3 filling dumpling special shrimp pork chives and pork stew rice with eggs at the recommendation of the owner. Cute, small place, little hard to find but you'll find it. Parking easy right out front. Food is delicious! Be patient, may take a bit as she makes it fresh. The dumplings were delicious, steamed not fried after steaming. Pork rice also delicious, with a tea egg I believe and a bit of cabbage. I moved to using a spoon because it was so good! Well priced, come support a rare Asian restaurant in abq! I'll be back to try the rest of the menu! PS take the recent one star review with a grain of salt, looks like she only comes on Yelp to air her grievances... every review but one is one star lol. Haters gonna hate.

This place has been one of my favorite find in Albuquerque! The owner and chef, Fei is such a nice lady who focuses on creating authentic Taiwanese small plates. Before coming to the US, she trained for two years at one of the best restaurants in Taiwan, and it shows when it comes to her dishes. The pork belly bun sandwich was so tender and flavorful. The dumplings are hand crafted with a meat, veggie, and seafood filling. They're some of the most delicious I've ever had. The stewed pork wouldn't be out of place in a market in Taipei. This restaurant would be a great place to bring a small group and order family style to taste all the delicious small plates. While the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, it has a really cozy vibe inside with lots of Taiwanese landscapes and culture. Fei mentioned she has a Sunday brunch and I will definitely be back to try it!

It's a small restaurant owned by a Taiwanese lady. I went there for lunch. I was the only one there but it was nice because I got to talk to her a little bit. I ordered Taiwanese pancake, steamed dumplings and the pork stewed rice with egg. They were all very delicious and took me back to Taiwan for a minute there the pancake was especially my favorite.

Authentic taiwanese street food made with love by the really sweet owner Fei. My favorite of what we ordered was the pork stew and rice.

TAIWANESE STREET FOOD! The original version of Fei's was totally vegan so she really knows how to cook vegan food. Fresh house made soy milk and tofu. Great green chili steamed buns. Inquire with the owner about a limited selection of incredible Taiwanese vegan products like soy jerky, vegan chicken, tofu skin and other vegan meats. Pros: Mostly vegan, Authentic taiwanese food, Stinky tofu! Cons: Small menu, Not a lot of greens, Stinky tofu!

Went here for early lunch with my husband. We tried all the dumplings and we enjoyed it a lot. We also tried the scallion fried bread, it fresh and delicious. Stew pork and egg was great as well. My husband told me we will be going back for the dumplings and he enjoyed the quaint ambiance of the place. The owner was nice as always.

I used to frequent Fei's Cafe when I was a student at UNM. The food was so good, even though I wasn't a vegan at the time, and it was so affordable! I moved away for several years and was so disappointed when I came back home because I couldn't find it anymore. I noticed the sign as I drove by today and was shocked and so excited to find out it was the same place!! I am soooo thrilled that the food is 100% the same as I remember it! The owner is the same and she's such a sweet lady. And not only do they have all the vegan options, but they have some really good meat options for the non-vegans! My girlfriend, who isn't vegan, loved their beef noodle bowl and pork belly bun sandwich, along with all the vegan options. All the food is filling and absolutely delicious! I will be definitely going back on the regular now that I know where they are. Go local and support Fei's!!! You definitely won't regret it!!! UPDATE: Came back on Sunday to try some more things I never had before, plus some Sunday brunch specials. We tried the 油條 (Yóutiáo), which is like a long, unsweetened donut stick with the fresh, homemade hot soy milk and the 甜豆獎 (Tián dòu jing), which is like a hot sweet peanut, sesame drink. If you like soy milk, it was really nice to have fresh homemade soy milk! I ended up dipping the donut stick into the sweet peanut sesame drink and it was so good! My gf tried the steamed pork buns, which she said was really good, and I got the vegan steamed veggie buns, which were really good too!

The broth was spicy but a little oily tasting. I was sweating the whole time which was awesome! The veggies, meats and mushrooms all had great flavor. This place was obviously using fresh ingredients. I'm sharing a copy of my bill so you can see that they itemize for things like the sauce/ ice cream bar as well as the cc fee. Easy to see the restaurant from the parking lot, cute tasteful neon lights point the way. The cook greeted me as I walked in, looking over his shoulder and let me me know someone would be with me soon (much appreciated; you never want to feel unseen) Neddie/Netty was helping at a table but acknowledged me then came over to show me to a table. She proved so helpful. I explained it was my first time there, she asked what I wanted to drink then said she'd send it out: it came by robot! I grabbed my drink then I had to read the screen to send it on its way: it was cute. When it came to ordering, newbie here, it looked like I wouldn't hv enough time to savor any of the main entrees what with other orders going on, and me hvg to leave for my next appt in 40 minutes, so I just ordered a shrimp tempura appetizer. A few minutes later, a dish was delivered to a nearby table when the cook, I learned his name is Viktor, asked if he could make it in 2-3 minutes, would I still like the bulgogi over rice or Japanese ramen: I looked to Neddy for her recommendation and went with the latter. Viktor was as good as his word: steaming sizzling plate of yumminess in front of me within 5". I still took 3/4 of the dish with me and it's even better as leftovers! Re: the shrimp tempura appetizer It was ok, perfectly battered and fried but seemed factory-determined cookie-cutter, all the same size, no heads, no tails. But it's a sweet, spacious establishment, cool in the 100° heat without being chilly, friendly attentive thoughtful service and tasty food. I'll be back to try the main stuff -- and allow ample time to savor the offerings.

It was so good last year that we actually had a conversation with the owner about them being from San Francisco, after I told him it was the best Chinese food I've had in America outside of San Francisco. Well, that has changed significantly, and not for the better. We made a trip down from Santa Fe this week, specifically to eat at Noodle Works. Yes, we drove over an hour each way on Monday just to eat here. What a mistake! It was clear the General Tzo chicken was microwaved and not fresh fried. It was absolutely inedible! Mall food court Chinese is better than this dish was. Strange because almost exactly 1 year ago their General Tzo's dish was among them best I've ever tasted. I know this dish is not authentic, but to serve pre-fried then microwaved chicken is inexcusable! The Singapore Noodle dish this time was incredibly dry. The curry was more like a dry rub stuck to the noodles than it was a real curry sauce. Again... mall food court quality. Another dish that used to be amazing here. The crab in the crab rangoon was so fishy you could smell it before it was even delivered to the table. It had clearly sat out unrefridgerated during prep for far too long. It was inedible, or of fear of getting food poisoning... they did take it off of our bill. We are so disappointed in how bad the quality has fallen off in the last year! We loved them so much in the past that we will give them one more try, but we will not be making a special trip down from Santa Fe to eat here again. We REALLY hope they get their act together because we really like the employees and owner and want to continue to support them. Management did apologize without being prompted for the slow service and poor quality food, so hopefully they know serious improvement is needed if they are to stay in business. We wish them the best because they are great people. Good luck!
