My work used Feet First for a team building event. They set up an Amazing Race-type activity for a group of about 60-70 people. I was impressed on how organized they were. From the clues to the puzzles, everything fit together and made the competition run smoothly. After the competition, the staff quickly gathered up video footages that we recorded and put them together for a highlight video. The only bad thing about Feet First Eventertainment? Maybe the embarrassing things they made us do during the Amazing Race. :) read more

We used the Los Angeles division of Feet First Entertainment for our wedding in Southern CA. My fiance and I didn't know where to start when it came to finding DJs--we relied a lot on referrals, and friends of ours had recently attended a wedding where DJ Anthony of Feet First has been the DJ/emcee, and as they were impressed by him, they got his contact info from the couple to pass on to us. When we met with DJ Anthony at Feet First, we knew he was the one. We had previously met with a super "high end" DJ who we didn't feel comfortable with (and was way too pricey), and with a random independent DJ who was the exact opposite--we weren't confident that he knew what he was doing. Feet First was the perfect middle ground. Extremely professional (we met at their offices, and they have a nice set-up), but also seemed fun-loving, flexible, and good-natured. And the price fit our budget perfectly. DJ Anthony was easy to relate to, and we felt his personality would be the right fit for our event--classy, but laid-back at the same time. Since we live in NY and were getting married in CA, he was flexible and we even had a Skype chat a few weeks before the wedding to go over details. And we weren't disappointed! DJ Anthony took care of the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He was a great emcee (our guests were happy, and our parents were impressed with him, too), and music flowed. I would highly recommend both Feet First and DJ Anthony specifically. read more

If I could give all the stars to Feet First, i would. Hands down, Feet First did an amazing job at our company offsite. It was my first time hosting the offsite so I was a bit nervous but Feet First rocked it. David is an amazing host. People were a little hesitant when they heard we were playing games but once David hit the microphone, it was all uphill! Everything was so well organized and executed. Music was perfect to get people motivated. The games were a good mix of physical and mental challenges. David and Feet First was the MVP of our company offsite. I went with Feet First Eventertainment when planning a team building event. We decided to go with the Amazing Race. From the get-go, they were very helpful with providing prices on the different events they offer, and how it will work with a group of 13. Once we decided on the Amazing Race, they basically took it from there, and only asked us a couple things to ensure the event went smoothly (i.e: team breakouts, timeline, location). They were EXTREMELY accommodating with our team's timeline and even gave us the cell phone number of the person who will be the coordinator the day of (Scott). They just told us to text/call Scott if we're running a little late, and were extremely flexible. The actual event was tons of fun. They planned out an entire course for us with clues, maps, a flip cam, a GPS system, back packs, etc. All of the staff were friendly, fun, and organized. Feet First did an amazing job ensuring that our Wedding Day sound and entertainment was perfect! The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful and they make the process of hiring a DJ easy. Our DJ Scott did a fabulous job handling the "3 settings" for our wedding, the ceremony, dinner and dancing were all in different locations on the property and the sound was perfect for them all. Scott has an incredible sense of knowing exactly what songs to play to keep the crowd on their feet and including songs on our "please" play list. He even made the surprise request by my 8 yr old (now step-daughter) to speak, seem like it was all part of the plan:) Feet First is professional but easy going and throws a great party! We booked Feet First for our wedding in April. From the beginning, they were so easy to work with. Feet First did a wedding expo I attended, and I passed their contact info on to my now-husband, who was in charge of finding our DJ. Unlike another DJ company that we interviewed with, Feet First wants you to meet with the DJ working your event. This ensures you are on the same page as far as that all-important must-play list, as well as the equally important do-not-play list. We met with Dave and knew he'd be great! He worked directly with my event coordinator at the Marriott and worked out the timeline for introductions, speeches, dances, cake-cutting and everything else that happens at a wedding reception. It was such a relief to have someone who's done so many weddings, he can work out the timing and make sure everything runs smoothly. He was awesome at keeping in touch and answering any questions we had. At the event itself, Dave read the crowd really well. We're not sure how he did it, but he knew instinctively what our guests wanted to hear, and there was never a moment when people weren't on their feet dancing. He was so good, our recently engaged friends asked about Feet First, hoping to book them for their own wedding! We are happy to recommend them to any and all our friends, and if we had to do it all over again, we would go to Feet First in a heartbeat. read more

We had Feet First come to Santa Cruz Boardwalk last week and run a team building event for 200 people and they did an incredible job. They were very easy to work with leading up to the event and created a large team challenge that combined some of the existing options they offer to meet our needs. Throughout the day and following week, I continued to receive great feedback from the participants. The facilitators really knew what they were doing. His professionalism never fails, he's always ready to deal with last minute changes, unforeseen mechanical issues, and all the other curve balls that can possible be thrown at him (and we've had our fair share!). We had Anthony from the LA division DJ our wedding and he could not have been more awesome. I took on the task of planning my entire wedding and trying to figure out how exactly to select a DJ was tough for me. I had met with several others prior to coming across Feet First and they were either really cheesy, questionable in their experience or VERY expensive and not really worth the cost. From the moment I called Feet First, DJ Anthony was actually the one to answer the phone. He was able to answer all of my questions and set a time to meet with me prior to booking (some of the companies I spoke with were just going to "assign" me a DJ based off of a phone conversation with me). From our initial meeting to the wedding, Feet First and DJ Anthony were absolutely great. Easy to get a hold of, willing to cater to our needs and professional. He cared about how we met and the way our relationship grew into what it was, so he could better understand what our personalities were. The wedding day itself could not have gone off smoother. Dave was set up, ready and working with the caterer and the venue without a hitch. I was getting compliments about the DJ all night long and it was difficult at times to find an empty space on the dance floor. From start to finish Dave was fluid. Time changes and speech delays didn't phase the flow of the evening at all. We had Feet First at our daughter's wedding and they did an excellent job. Our friends are a party crowd so the fun got going early and they went with the flow. When things started getting slow Sean stepping with supportive activities to liven things up such as a dance to find the longest married couple, etc. When he found out there was a segment that wanted Line Dancing he started with a country song then transitioned to other music that could be danced in the same style. It got everyone moving together. Sean showed up on time to do all the set ups, helped with the ceremony and kept the bridal party stick to the schedule. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you Warren, Joe, Craig and the rest of the team for the success of our event! Everything was smooth and seamless, from the pre-planning stage to the final execution on event day. We did have a few unforeseen hiccups on our end (major sigalert causing 12 participants to arrive late) and a voting debacle for a costume contest. However, the staff coordinators didn't miss a beat came up with alternative solutions on the fly that turned out better than what was originally planned! They kept the crowed engaged and energized while waiting for the late participants to arrive, and the dance off to "Sexy Back" for alternate voting for our crazy costume contest was a scream! Thank you for a job AMAZINGLY well done and making me look like a ROCK STAR! You guys surpassed our expectations!!! We cannot rave ENOUGH about Dave and Feet First! Our wedding was on 4/29/11, and it was such an incredible event, my family and friends are still talking about it, calling, emailing, facebooking about how much fun they had! Dave helped us create the event that we wanted, a fun event which was a good balance of our quirky personalities and what the crowd wanted (to maximize everyone's enjoyment!). His direction to us was appreciated as neither of us had been through this before (he even helped talk us through cutting the cake! Lol). He directed us through the planning, and during the event led everything so that we didn't have to think of anything! The best part - he totally took the stress off of me for the flow of the reception! We didn't have to think about a schedule. We had our wedding in June, Dave was our DJ. We met with Dave well in advance to see if he was a match for us - he is such a great guy. Aside from his talent as a DJ, he is very professional, personable, and open. He really knew what he was talking about, and was PHENOMENAL on the day off. He made things so much easier on me as the bride - I really trusted in his knowledge and experience. Dave did the ceremony music, which was awesome as well. Our reception was a great time, guests were dancing the whole time! He really played music that was appealing to our guests. Wow, just wow! We had a corporate meeting that required a team building event. I did what every normal person does in that situation, I looked to Google. I compared a couple places but knew i found something cool when i got to Feet First Events. I was met with friendly, cost competitive and prompt service. Amy got back to me on May 3 saying that my date was available and sorry for taking so long to get back to me. I'm a wedding planner and I work with a ton of not so great DJ/ MC's and so the few that are really great stand out to me. Finding that right combo who can play great music, on time, feel the crowd, and be in tune with me as to staying on time with the timeline is harder than you think. Feet First did a perfect job at our wedding in May. I was convinced having a dj was going to be a mistake but had run out of time to find any good band options. In the end, I could not be happier that we ended up with Dave as our DJ! He played great music that we loved with only a few suggestions from us and kept everyone dancing all night. Why I would recommend their services: -They are incredibly easy to work with and very professional. We met with them in person once and they had all the info ready to help us think through the different musical elements of the day so bases were covered. They were prepared from the get-go (something I definitely cannot say about wedding vendors in general!) and made the whole process very easy for us -The day of was completely stress free. The mics for the ceremony, all the dj booth set up, cues for the songs, timing of first dance, etc went off without a hitch (and best of all without me needing to be involved in any of it!) I could not believe how seamlessly they did their job. -Dave in particular was so easy going and on top of things - the perfect mix. His first concern always seemed to be that I was not having to think/worry about a thing and his mission there was definitely accomplished! A major highlight was when i grabbed the microphone to hand to one of the groomsmen so he could do an impromptu karaoke version of Jackson 5 'I Want You Back'. Dave, with a smile, found the track and went with it with no hesitation at all. -MUSIC! My husband and I definitely spent a good amount of time choosing songs we liked for the processional, recessional, first dance and father/daughter dance. And our choices for those were all across the board (pop, classic rock, reggae, oldies). We did not spend a ton of time thinking through what we'd like played at the reception. Dave was somehow able to take our mish mashed musical taste and weave it into the reception with no major disappointments! Everyone loved the song selections. Extra props because instead of playing 'Don't Stop Believing' or 'Livin on a Prayer' he chose the slightly less cliche and definitely cooler 'You Shook Me All Night Long'. Double props for no cheesy DJ quips throughout the night. Dave never uttered 'Who's ready to shake their moneymakers!' or any other awful MC phrases. We could not have asked for a better wedding day and are so glad we trusted these guys for the music! read more

We have had Feet First DJ all of our Willow Glen Middle School dances this year. As time went on, we began to discover exactly what we needed in a DJ. Dave provided us the perfect experience! The kids have been talking about our dance all weekend and parents have written letters about how great the dance was. Dave was interactive and fun. He got lots of kids on the dance floor and made it an experience where even the "bad dancers" could have a lot of fun. Even the chaperones said they had a lot of fun because the kids were having such a good time, there were no discipline issues to take care of! It was a great way to get a large group (45 ppl) of local people to do something different and it was a hit! We had an amazing experience with Scott as our DJ at my daughter's wedding - everything we could have hoped for, and more! We gave him some challenges with an unusual movie/TV theme wedding (which included the wedding party and all guests in costume), and he rose to the occasion. In addition to the usual stuff you would expect from a DJ (setting up the equipment, spinning the tunes, acting as MC, keeping us on timeline), he got into the groove, wore a costume, created a special movie trivia game to set the order of tables heading to the buffet, and helped select just the right music throughout the night, to keep everyone dancing. And just to throw him an extra challenge, the wedding reception was in our backyard, but the ceremony was actually in our next-door neighbor's backyard. Scott arrived early to set up the main equipment at our house, set up a second portable music system to handle sound at the ceremony (including microphones), then hustled back over to our yard to have music going as the guests returned, followed by the happy couple's carefully orchestrated arrival. I did the original interviews of DJs 6 months before the wedding, thinking I would narrow it down to several candidates for my daughter and her fiancé to interview. After my first phone conversation with Scott, I knew that he was our guy, and I could stop looking. He totally "got" the theme objectives, and had plenty of suggestions right from the start - plus a great sense of humor! Alison and Kevin, in their last year of vet school, did not exactly have flexible schedules to travel to the Bay Area to meet in person, but via email and phone calls, we were able to all work together to get the schedule and music in place. Our wedding was a huge success and super-fun occasion, thanks in large part to a number of fabulous vendors, with Scott leading the pack. I would most definitely recommend Scott, and hope to have another reason to hire him at some point in the future! read more

Dave from First Feet Entertainment did a brilliant job at our wedding on 092311. He is super easy to work with- all music we requested was played and all other music he chose was perfect. We really had an amazing time and our guests have given us numerous compliments on the music and atmosphere! We were so pleased with Dave's EMCEEING of the evening; you really kept EVERYONE on the dance floor ALL night. An example of one request from us, was to play the chicken dance for our niece- Dave went above and beyond to make her feel like the Belle of the Ball and made a memorable night even more special. Additionally, Dave came thru for us with our video montage- it was planned but a glitch in the software put it up in the air until the evening before the reception, Dave rolled with our video uncertainty and pulled the video montage off without a hitch. Feet First completely surpassed our expectations and I would go through the trouble of planning another party just to have the excuse to work with them again - both DJ and Coordinator. Dave was a great MC/DJ and totally in tune to the kind of songs that kept the dance floor full. It was obvious he heard everything we had to say and what was important to us. I have received much feedback from our guests that it was one of the most fun and energetic weddings they had ever attended. Feet First was a critical component of that success, not only because of Dave but also because I hired their secret weapon - Amy Wu as my day-of coordinator. While the other companies had crazy-high costs and they kept mentioning things that were not included in their price, Amy was very reasonable as well as extremely flexible about what I needed her to do. Then she listed a whole bunch of things she would be in charge of that I had never thought of. The guests and other vendors all thought she was great. I really appreciated her amount of communication and how she paid attention to the little things that ended up having big impact - things that were just totally not on my radar. I could not have pulled off my wedding day without her, no way. Dave and Amy were fantastic individually, even more so as a team. I got married in June and went with Feet first entertainment. Dave was our DJ and Amy was our wedding day coordinator. We only paid Amy for our wedding day, but she came to the rehearsal and spent a month calling vendors and making sure we had everything we needed for the wedding day. Obviously, you only plan one wedding, so it was such a life saver to have a professional who could make suggestions. She wasn't pushy at all, but had a ton of solutions for any little problems that came up. On the wedding day, we had a problem with transportation and Amy took care of it. I didn't really even know about the problem until the next day because it had been taken care of. Dave was great. He brought all sorts of music an played to the party. He kept everyone dancing which surprised me. I have a lot of family members that I did not think would dance but they were up and enjoying themselves. Very Professional. We worked with Sean at Feet First and had a great time. Sean is great with guests, very warm and friendly. We had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted to play, but at the same time didn't want to DJ it ourselves. We put ourselves in Sean's hands and were happy to do so. Sean does a great job at playing songs for all ages, and finding dances hits that you maybe haven't heard before. He also had a fantastic cocktail hour mix that our guests loved (modern hits done by string and jazz quartets). He was punctual, professional, and courteous. He did not dominate the microphone and took requests from our guests in stride. He didn't get bossed around by anyone, but still made the guests feel heard. His crowd control was wonderful. Overall I had a great experience with Feet First and would recommend. If I were to do it again, I would have maintained steadier contact with Sean in the weeks prior, just to make sure we were 100% on the same page in terms of what songs we most wanted to hear. All of our guests had so much fun, the dance floor was never empty! People even asked me for the playlist I chose for the wedding because they loved it so much. We had a summer wedding and, after looking around, went with Feet First, because they seemed the most professional and flexible, which was important b/c we live in Oregon, so we knew communication/coordination wasn't going to be easy. Sean (our MC/DJ) met with us on pretty short notice, and was very open about what we wanted- we were looking for something casual and outdoors, and wanted to avoid an overbearing DJ. Things basically went as well as could be expected, and, at the end of the day, everyone had a good time, and we've pretty regularly gotten comments from friends about how fun our wedding was.
