With Feels Good being close to the edge of the RLD, I can clearly see why it had to match the night life exterior. From a distance, it clearly stands out with it's lights. AND not only that, I believe I practically saw everyone from every country in the world make a stop into this joint. Yeah, crazy watering-hole right!
Upon entering, you walk upstairs, pass through the turnstile, and get out of the way. It can get pretty damn congested is what I'm saying. So, if you stand there like a noob, you'll end up getting yelled at by the guys at the counter. I chilled at the bar and saw this time and time again. So just make note to enter and get in line. The line length can switch from one customer waiting to twenty, easily. But no worries about the yelling counter guys, they just want you to act smarter than you appear. One guy helped me out with my order (no issues), and I went straight to the bar!
The bar pretty much served specialty iced teas, commercial drinks, and no alcohol. It's strictly a cafe with non-alcoholic drinks. I mean, you're really here to taste some baked goodies or smoke, not to get drunk and be even more stupid. The bartender himself was cool, as he loaned me his lighter. I do recall one weird head-scratching moment when some old fat full-on white haired white bearded "Rip Van Winkle" dude came up from under the bar out of nowhere. I believe there's a trap door or storage room down below, but it was just hilarious seeing him come up like he'd been sleeping down there forever. Everyone froze, like WTF! It was already past 10pm, and he just crawled out like nothing!
Anyways, I enjoyed relaxing here, but it can get congested like a club. You can sit at the bar, but there can be a long line that runs along it. Minus one for that, but more over minus on for the nasty tagged up restroom. Blah! Oh well, you're in Amterdam, it is what it is! read more
