Super cute bar in Amsterdam. They have a few nice heated outdoor patios, as well as indoor seating. The inside was very cute, decorated in pink with lots of little tables and it felt very intimate. The drink menu was pretty cool, with all the standard bar stuff, and some really cute cocktails. We had the Strawberry Espresso Martini which was delightful. We also grabbed the toasties and bitterballen, which were delicious as well. read more

Over the years, Prik is still one of my favorite gay bars in Amsterdam. Prik is located a bit outside the central gay areas, and by itself, so it is sort of a destination spot. It's small inside but since Covid they have outdoor street tables with service. The atmosphere is laid back but still pink and festive. The bartenders are super friendly and nice. Drinks are good, prices are fair. When it is crowded, it can take awhile to get your drinks, but that's expected. Over the years I've acquired a few I Love Prik t-shirts because they are quirky conversation starters LOL. read more

We've always loved Prik and have been going for years. The staff are always friendly and fun, especially Dominick. There is one short dark haired bartender who has a bit of an attitude and his margaritas are not great compared to all our past experiences. But again the rest of the staff is fabulous and there's always a fun vibe going on. We miss those Sundays when they offered snacks. read more

We went to Prik around 15:00 in the afternoon. It was slightly chilly outside on this June Sunday afternoon in Amsterdam. The outdoor area was mostly empty - but this didn't last long. Apparently after 3 pm is the time everyone is heading out to this venue. They have very large area outside now, taking over some of the parking spaces. This happened during Covid times but apparently they are able to keep this tables - which is nice. Friendly service, vast menu with lots of drinks. I imagine that after 9 PM and on weekends this place can be very busy. I wish I went inside but never made it past the front door. I do recommend. read more

Hate this bar! Rude bar staff, claustrophobic and no atmosphere. Yuck go somewhere else

Drinks are good, regularly priced. Bar itself has a really nice vibe inside. I chose to sit outside at the patio as it was a fairly warm night in October. My friend met me and we felt that the service was a bit slow. It seems like there were only 2 or maybe 3 servers and it took a while for our drinks to come out both times. Either way, I think this is a great queer space for many people visiting or who live here. It's certainly a sit down type bar to chat and by no means does it give club energy. Also, the toilets were sparkling clean which is always a nice feeling! read more

A fun gay bar outside of the gay neighborhood. It's festive, bright and pink on the inside and offers delicious and STRONG drinks. I had the espresso martini and I got a nice buzz from that. The staff are friendly. A great place to stop by after walking around. read more

I had this place in my bookmarks to check out, and didn't think I was going to end up there. Fortunately, as I was walking back to the hotel one night, I happen to pass Prik, so I stopped in for a quick four or five drinks. The place was busy, but there was plenty of room at the bar. The friendly bartender came over and told me the specials, which I promptly ignored and went for a prosecco. To my delight, they had several kinds of prosecco on tap. We couldn't help but take advantage of the sun shining down on the tables and joined the crowd to have a few beers. I think this is by far my favorite gay bars in Amsterdam. I'm not a big gay bar fan because the crowds in some bars can be too pretentious and that's just a turn off for me. But this bar has a mix of gays and straights. The crowd is 25-45...so a good mix of men. And it's the regular gay man's bar as well...the guys that frequent there are the guys in the neighborhood. The bar staff are quite friendly and mix delicious drinks that keep me always coming back for more. I love that there's extra seating in the back, but as the night goes on that area turns into a mini dance-floor where the DJ mixes the sweater beats. I've recently brought a group of my work colleagues here (both gay and straight) and we had so much fun...I was actually shocked that the straight macho men in my group were even enjoying it. This is the type of bar Prik is...no pretenses! There's also outside searing, which is great when the weather isn't too bad. And the men will take their drinks outside and have a good night of conversation and laughter outside. If you're looking for a gar to hang out and relax then this is the place for you. read more

We stumbled upon Prik after doing a cheese tasting class. Their outdoor patio is nice! Great colorful chairs. Inside is comfortable and there is a big fat cat that will greet you. Very cute. Their menu is very nice - the cocktails are very good and not a bad price! The crowd is mix - both sexes - which is nice because you can be yourself. The bar staff was very attentive. If you are a tourist, you tend to get a rather rude treatment. I am sitting at the bar and I am getting soaking wet by the bartenders washing the glasses. I ordered a drink listed on the cocktail special and I had wait 20 minutes for the drink. If you order drink make sure it is beer, wine or a simple cocktail. read more
