We have always been greeted with a smile and served with kindness. You can decide to eat outside on the patio or inside the "old church" building.

One of the staff recommended eats is the cheeseburger and duck wings. The smash burger and fries is very addicting. Maybe one of the best smash burgers I've had in a while. The duck wings are a generous portion size and a tasty sticky kind of goodness. We originally wanted brussel sprouts but it sold out so opted for the beet salad which is pretty good too. All in all, I'm surprised the food is so good! I may have enjoyed it more than the flight of beers we ordered. I told the staff to choose a selection for us. The CPA is one I prefered most among the ones I tried, with a bit more floral or complex notes than the rest. This family-run brewery and restaurant was converted from a small church and has been opened for a couple of years. Find your own seat, order and pay in the front and food would be sent to your table. The tip range suggested the same as a full service restaurant. There are six communal tables and also enclosed sheds outside for additional seating.

Perhaps a bit of a mistake as we did not enjoy our food much. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms with crab meat as my appetizer & the fish tacos. My husband had haddock & chips and my father in law had their shrimp linguini. The stuff mushrooms were huge & ok tasting but I was turned off by the brown water content that was seeping out onto my plate when cutting it in smaller pieces. My fish tacos was bland. The tortillas almost seemed stale & not soft. I'm surprised that there was no acidity in this dish with all the pico de gallo & looking at the corn, it was all shriveled up. My husband's haddock batter was as hard as a rock and my FIL's linguini was not al dente but was actually uncooked. The only good thing during our visit was our server. She was friendly & attentive so we had some good laughs. Sadly, we won't be coming here again which is too bad since we loved the feeling of the interior space and they have an awesome patio.

It's located in a historical home that's been extended with a beautiful outdoor patio. We didn't realize there was an inside dinning area since the patio was so packed we opted out to sit there. There was plenty of shade so we grabbed a table and sat down. Our server was so friendly and she explained some items weren't available on the menu since it was sold out. We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms, Thai chicken bites, Caesar and pork schnitzel. It was really good and I'm glad we decided to try something different today! We also got sangria and a beer which were also very good. Will definitely be back whenever we're in the area :)

Is the food good? For a most frightening reason, I never found out. Read on…read more My friend and I recently visited The Scruffy Duck for lunch. It's a comfortable looking pub, with a decent sounding menu. We went for lunch on a Friday around 2 pm. The place was almost empty (the COVID situation may have something to do with their having so few customers). A young lady, our waitress, seated us promptly, gave us a menu, and took our order quickly. The beer we ordered came almost right away. However, about 20-25 minutes later, our food had not arrived. Then, another woman, apparently the owner or manager, asked if our order had come yet (even though she could see there was no food on the table). She then told us our waitress hadn't placed the order, because she wasn't feeling well! So, in the middle of the COVID crisis, this restaurant allowed a sick employee to work, and to serve customers!! We asked the manager to not bother filling our order, asked to pay for the beer (to her credit she said there would be no bill), and we left. Although it's understandable that a sick waitress might accidentally not put in an order, what is TOTALLY INEXCUSABLE is that the restaurant management ALLOWED A SICK EMPLOYEE to work in the midst of the COVID crisis, and to put customers and other staff at risk! And then the manager became angry because we no longer wanted to eat there. Really?????? This is not only irresponsible, it's DANGEROUS! Needless to say, we won't return.
