Shoutout to Holly, the most amazing customer service person that I've encountered in many years. Holly is professional and although her shift seemed to have been over she went through hoops to get my shipment correct. Holly is a blessed spirit. Thank you to Fedex Facility off Florida Ave and Holly . read more

No complaints. The location has a private parking lot directly infront of the entrance for the customers; which is always a plus. I didn't have any issues doing a drop off and was in + out the store within 5 mins. read more

Security would not allow me to enter the building to drop off a package with a prepaid label because I did not have a state issued photo ID. They told me that TSA requires them to record every person's name, address, and other personal information before then can enter the retail location. I guess this store is a TSA security checkpoint - not a retail shipping center. Ridiculous! read more

There is probably no better advertisement for UPS or DHL than this FedEx location. Absurdly incompetent.

Be warned- you need your ID to enter this location. It does not say anywhere online that you need an ID to drop off a package at fedex and I've never had to show an ID to get into a FedEx before. I tried calling the location, but fedex does not allow you to speak to a human being, so I couldn't get through to anyone. They make it impossible to deal with even the slightest problem, I can't imagine what it's like actually being their customer. I'd avoid this location and FedEx in general. read more

After my package was not delivered when I was at home and I was unable to speak with a live representative over the phone even after I scheduled a drop off request and was unable to get verification of my request to pick up my package, I decided to go to the FedEx Ship Center at 1501 Eckington Place NE, Washington DC. Holly welcomed me and told me she was there to help solve my problem. She took the extra step to contact the driver and was able to get my package redelivered to me. I appreciated the exemplary customer service she provided to me. She was professional, knowledgeable, patient and made me feel like she cared. She needs to become a trainer, so that she can show other representatives how it's done. PERFECTION!!!! I hope she gets all the recognition she deserves for a job well done!!!! read more

Janice and Holly were sweethearts. If you want business done right and fast come here!

I would like to offer my highest praise and deepest appreciation for Holly at the FedEx Ship Center located at 1501 Eckington Place NE, Washington, DC. Holly is retiring at the beginning of the new year after forty years of service, and it is clear that her dedication, professionalism, and integrity have been constants throughout her career. During a stressful situation involving a lost package, Holly went far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. She worked tirelessly and persistently to try to locate my missing package, refusing to give up when it would have been easy to do so. Although the package ultimately could not be found-through absolutely no fault of hers-- Holly did everything possible to help me. She was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, friendly, competent, and genuinely empathetic. What stood out most was her determination: she would not accept "no" when "yes" was the correct response, and she advocated relentlessly on my behalf. In addition to her efforts, Holly took the time to share helpful tips and practical advice so I could avoid similar issues in the future. Even in a disappointing outcome, she turned the experience into a learning opportunity, which speaks volumes about her character and commitment to customer service. Holly is the kind of employee who represents FedEx at its very best. Her work ethic, kindness, and perseverance left a lasting impression on me, and I have no doubt she has done the same for countless customers over the past four decades. FedEx has been incredibly fortunate to have her, and she will be deeply missed. Thank you, Holly, for forty years of outstanding service-and for treating customers with such care, respect, and professionalism. read more

Unhelpful and you need a physical ID to enter property. Exceptionally tight security just to drop off a return package

Holly was so kind and helpful, and she made sure to get me the best shipping deal which I really appreciated!

Holly House and Jonathan Blackwell are FANTASTIC! Holly is not only professional, but is just so welcoming and warm and helpful. Use this facility to drop off your items BECAUSE of Holly and you'll leave with a kick in your step. A shout out as well to Johnathan who went out of his way to help me with a label I printed out at home with a old printer. The barcode wasn't scannable and Johnathan offered to let me email him (to his personal email address) the return label provided by the company, then printed it out and affixed it to the package. It saved me so much time and hundreds of grey hairs! Thanks to both of you for being you. read more

Location was convenient and quick. You do have to show your photo id at the gate, but after that it was very smooth. Holly was so friendly with the best attitude and customer service! read more

"Delivery" driver James decided not to even bother trying to get a signature for my package, left within 30 seconds. This was after the package was delayed for no reason and 4 days late. Now I don't have what I need for work tomorrow. And you have to call national customer service, there's no direct line to this site, so I just had to sit on the phone all day with various people who directly lied to me and told me my package was on the way when it wasn't. Truly the worst company and worst experience. read more

Holly went out of her way to find my package. It was past closing time, and I was very upset that I couldn't get my package. Fed Ex left a note at my door and I was told to go to the main site after 7:30 PM at night. I got there after 8:30 PM and the guy at the gate said "no luck". He went inside to see what could be done, and Holly walked out to the entrance twice to help me and finally found my package -- after hours. Incredible service from this Fed Ex employee read more

The customer care is excellent at the front desk. Holly who helped me was very helpful, friendly and efficient in processing my package. This makes me want to go out of my way to use this facility to ship all of my goods. Thanks Holly read more

Holly is an absolute life saver!!! She came to our rescue tonight. We were in such a bind as we were waiting for our wedding invitations to be delivered. For some reason, the shipper left off our unit number even though it was on the order and Holly patiently helped walk us through the entire process of updating the order information and released our invitations to us. She even let us know that we would have never received our package because the shipper would never have updated the address. We would have never known otherwise and would have been left without our wedding invitations. THANK YOU SO MUCH HOLLY!! read more

I needed to pick up a package that could not be delivered to my home and Holly H. supported me through a rather complex process. She was upbeat, efficient, and determined to make sure we received my package. She's the sort of person that gives FedEx a great reputation and her cheerfulness made my day. Thanks Holly! read more

Company shipped my laptop through FedEx. I left a paper on the door listing my name, apartment number, and instructions to dial in order to be buzzed into the building. Obviously the driver didn't get out or come to the door, they just marked the package as customer not available. This was on February 21, 2023 on Wisconsin Avenue. We had to get a ride all the way across town to pick it up. Horrible lazy drivers. read more

Holly provided exceptional service that FAR exceeded our expectations. During a stressful cross-country move involving the shipment of 10 boxes, Holly demonstrated remarkable efficiency and care. Her swift actions ensured that all the boxes were not only processed quickly but were also securely taped and ready for shipment. What really stood out to me was Holly's willingness to go the extra mile, taking the time to double-check everything and even offering additional packing tips. Her professional demeanor and genuine concern for my needs turned what could have been a cumbersome process into a seamless experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Holly and would not hesitate to seek her assistance in the future. A truly top-notch service! FedEx, please hire and retain people like Holly. They are what make you great! read more

Had an issue with delivery to the address listed. I received a message saying it was being return to sender, seeing that it was a business card needed to complete business I could not wait another week to get the card. Some of the best customer service I've received in a long time especially in this city. Thanks Holly! read more

There was this complete asshole yelling at Egypt and Aiesha. both remained SUPER calm and then Egypt promptly took care of me. She even helped me figure out the insurance claims and made sending out my packages super easy. I feel VERY confident my stuff is going to arrive in Colorado and that was a huge stress. Truly blessed to have people in my neighborhood taking the stress of moving and making it easy. Just making sure that Sharon or Shannon whoever the manager is knows that Egypt is the bomb dot com and made my day today. read more

This review is for Ms. Holly. I went to this location with a colleague to mail a laptop. Ms. Holly suggested the proper packaging and insurance to ensure that the laptop would arrive safely. She also took the time to explain some other details, and she did it all with a smile! I haven't experienced such kind and patient customer service in a very long time. Thank you, Ms. Holly!!! read more

The Fedex driver left a delivery slip at my house when I had a package. He did not properly fill out the paperwork. I schlepped to the location to get my item. I was told that the item was still out for delivery. Fedex - please get on the same page with me. And while you have the page.....check the correct box. The only positive thing I can say about this location is that the drive is shorter than to the post office. The Fedex store employees have no sense of urgency. There are security cameras that show the line of customers inside. Why can't someone monitor that? An employee entered the area to chat with his coworker and not open up a new line. When he forgot his card to swipe open the door and was trapped on the store side I asked, "While you are stuck, could you open another line?" crickets.... I avoid using Fedex because we have issues with drivers not knocking, not leaving slips and not accurately updating the delivery records. I spoke to the Fedex manager. He was facing me but everything about his expression and body language was screaming, "I dismiss you." I would not suggest using Fedex. If you must use Fedex, avoid this location. read more

Just straight-up useless. Trust me, after trying five times, don't pay for overnight shipping from FedEx if you live in Northeast DC. They run up to the door, slap a door tag, and run away. Repeat this three times, then it gets returned to the sender. It doesn't matter what delivery instructions you provide, if you're home, cell phone number, any of that. FedEx Ground is fine and operated out of a different facility that actually pays people to deliver packages? Weird, right? read more

Not possible to give "0" stars? There is no rating LOW ENOUGH! This place is THE absolute WORST of the WORST. Please explain HOW it goes onto the van for delivery at 520 pm and at 524 pm it lists that, I am "not available for delivery" when I live TWENTY MINUTES AWAY? This is the SECOND time in the past 6 months that this location had a driver do this. Yeah, pretty impossible to get from there to my home in FOUR minutes. Why not just note that you don't FEEL like delivering it on a Friday before the holiday in the rain. I could've respected the honesty! read more

The worst customer service ever. They are slow and understaffed. I'm here waiting now and this is the third time I've tried to get my packages. The information is so inconsistent --when you call customer service, they say it's here but when you get here, they say it's on the truck!!! This is the 4th time this has happened with time sensitive packages. Makes no sense to pay for overnight service-- wait allll day at home for it to arrive when you could've been doing something else and they say the driver took it back to the facility without attempting to deliver. So then why isn't it here?! Tickets for a game that's tomorrow will not help me if they arrive on Monday!!! Wtf. No apology. Not a smile. No eye contact. Sooooo unpleasant. FedEx-- do better!!! read more

One of the least fun things to do is to play package tag with FedEx. I am lucky enough to work nearby so that it wasn't that difficult for me to make time to get there. So since this was package tag. Me shipping something and then needing to sign for my received package, I made a couple of trips within the week. Because this preceded the holiday, I was expecting some wait-time and that is what I received. On both occasions I witnessed good customer service rendered. I even saw an ESL woman helped and the woman behind the register pointed out the phone based options en Español. In many instances language barriers can lead to bad customer service but in this instance, that wasn't the case. The first time I visited was around noon and there was only one person working the counter. The second time was after 5 p.m. and there were two people. So just as hours were extended for the holidays, an adjusted was made for increased patronage. Another thing that I noticed was hurried people coming in without their stuff together. With people at the register, there would be people asking for tape or if the boxes were free or whatever else that slowed up everyone else's transaction. All of this would've flowed more smoothly with more staff but we all know how that goes. Both of my needs, shipping and receiving were expedited well enough so I can't complain. I really can't so I am going to go out on a whim and give 4 Stars. Sure things could've been faster but I'm really not in that much of a rush. p.d. I even called after 9 p.m. to get my package at this particular location and got someone on the phone, I doubt they were Metro D.C. based, but after two missed deliveries, one which I could've come to the door, I liked being able to get this done. read more

This is is the second time I've had packages delivered from this facility. Both time it says that delivery attempt was made and no answer from customer. I work from home and that is not possible. Their drivers are a bunch of liars. When you call to make a complaint, they give you the run around. FedEx should do a better job hiring drivers. I needed my medication and because of them I'm missing a dosage from my much needed medications. I've stayed on the phone hours to have my package redelivered. They are no where in sight. Horrible facility. read more

(Thank you to Egypt and the other nice lady that was in the facility when I came in and assisted me and kept me informed on the drivers whereabouts. This review is Not about them!! They where Great!!!) I went to the Verizon store at National Press in Washington DC. I had a phone for my Mother, who is up in age, delivered to my home. I paid the $13 to have the phone delivered the next day, Wednesday, November 10. I received a text that stated my package was on the way and would be delivered by 8 pm on the 10th. I waited all day, even sitting outside waiting on my package, only to receive a message that stated there was an attempt to deliver customer not available/ business closed. This was a LIE no one came to my home to deliver the package as I was home on my front porch at that time. Fed Ex employee #4111301 was the one who selected that option and returned the package to the office. I then called the FedEx customer service number to see if I could get more information about my package and why it was not delivered on Wednesday and explained that no one came to my home yet said they did. The customer service reps, because I spoke to multiple people, were not that much help. They told me my package should be delivered by 7 pm now on Thursday, November 11. So again, I waited and sat outside closer to 7 pm, and again I received a text at 6:59 pm saying that there was an attempt to deliver my package customer not available. This was now the second LIE told since I was sitting right outside my home, and NO ONE came from FedEx. I received a message saying there would be a final attempt to deliver my package on Friday, November 12, but there was no update time. Now very concerned, I called the customer service number back and asked if they could tell me the facility my package was held at because I felt like they were not going to deliver my package and pull the same stunt again. I could not risk not receiving my package. I explained I would just go to the facility and pick it up. I was told by the customer service rep that they could not tell me what facility my package was at and that there was a restriction on my package that only the shipper could request the package to be held. I called Verizon, and they explained that there was no restriction on my package, and they were not sure why FedEx kept telling me this. So I called Customer service back, explained what the shipper said, and was on the phone with them for almost 30min before the customer service rep finally gave me the address where my package was housed. However, she kept saying even if I went up to the facility, they would not give me my package because of the restrictions. I decided to take my chance and drove to the FedEx facility at 1501 Eckington Pl Ne Washington, DC. I went into the facility to inquire about my package and the restriction that was on it. I was told there was no restriction and that I could wait until the driver returned and received my package. I wasted almost 2 hours of my time waiting at the facility for my item. The employee in the facility kept trying to reach the driver's manager to see where her location was. Finally, at 8:30 pm, I went back into the facility for an update, and the lady inside let me know she would come to get me once the driver returned. 5min later, she asks was someone at my house which I replied yes, and she said we reached the driver and they would deliver it now, which was at 8:35 pm on Friday, November 13. I had my sister go out to get the package while I was on the phone with her, and I was still at the facility with the employee. She gave my sister my package yet did not have her sign for it, although the receipt says it was signed for by me, which was a LIE. I feel I only received my package because I went and sat at the facility until I had it. Even the worker at the facility said that the driver there do whatever they want and she wasn't surprised my package wasn't delivered. This was a HORRIBLE Experience!!! I paid for next day service and still waited three days to receive my package after going to the facility. The customer service was no help and gave out misinformation. I was hung up on by customer service and had to keep calling back until I got some answers. FedEx needs to really train their driver better. They are committing fraud by saying they attempt to deliver things that they have not. I plan to write a letter to the corporate office as well, so no one else has to experience this. Please do BETTER!!!! read more
