This is a small, neighborhood post office - the one-room kind that every small town in America has…read more It's nice to find that kind of small community post office in a bigger city :) There's access (and drop-off mailboxes) on the back side, uphill from the Kroger parking lot in Hillcrest, and walk-in access on Kavenaugh proper. It's so narrow it's easy to miss from either side, but very convenient for those of us who live nearby. They have P.O. boxes for rent, small shipping boxes and envelopes for USPS Priority packages, the usual selection of stamps. But why this location stands out to me is the individual service. There's rarely ever more than one person at the counter to help customers, but there's rarely more than two customers in the place, so things tend to move quickly. But, I've had consistently great service from the folks here, and any letter or package I send from this location seems, almost magically, to get where it's going at least a day before it should. What higher praise can you give a Post Office?

As a private residential user of the landfill, its often difficult to get to the landfill during the week, or even late in the afternoon. Weekends are now not an option, the landfill is closed! All of our neighbors use to have Republic and none of us had the same rate even though we live in the same neighborhood. I drove up there with 20 items and the lady said they would be ready on Wednesday, not same day. I told her I spoke with her earlier on the phone and she said same day if in before 8:30am. I arrived at 8:15am. She said I didn't tell her on the phone I was a new customer or that I would have hat many items. She said she didn't have time to process my order and was acting like I was holding up the two people behind me, which she also mentioned. She was very rude and not customer service oriented. I told her I didn't realize I had to tell her I was a new customer on the phone and she didn't mention any stipulations. She did say I could pick out 3 or 4 items to get back next day. I said that was acceptable. No thank you from her. When finished she went to next person in line. When I went to pick up the dry cleaning, it was all done, so I was happy about that. The lady working in the afternoon said there are a lot of complaints about the older woman working in the mornings. Dry cleaning job was fine. Customer service needs a lot of improvement.
