The city is the 118th most populous in the country and is home of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Most of the people that I encountered in the city were friendly. You will find panoramic views along the river and it was double awesome at night. River Front and River Walk Parks are amazing spots to take it all in. I found it to be a relatively clean city and the airport was only about 10 minutes from the Downtown area. Even though the city is ranked as one of the top 10 most dangerous cities in the country, I never came across a time that I felt uncomfortable or in danger. This is a chill little city and I really enjoyed my time here. There was enough for me to do and I was able to find some awesome eateries such as Campo Taco, Maddie's Place, the Rail Yard, and the Flying Fish.

Established in 1843, it has been dubbed "The Westminster Abbey of Arkansas". My birth mother and I were visiting each other in Little Rock this past weekend and opted to check out Mount Holly. We both enjoy history and old cemeteries. When I asked my adopted cousin, whom resides in LR, where to find the best one - she suggested to come here. This was a great decision to visit. Mount Holly is very serene. It is extremely well maintained and is still an active burial ground even 175 years later. People are still interred here to this day. The cemetery itself extends about 4 city blocks. Some things I enjoyed in the cemetery were the restored Victorian sexton bellhouse, the lovely cast iron fountain (not original to the cemetery, but still dated back to the Victorian era), the monuments and the lovely old trees. The hours in the fall and winter are 8am to 4pm then spring and summer hours are 8am to 5pm. Parking is available, but it is a bit tricky in turning your car around. Hopefully you have a backup camera on your vehicle! I'm not sure if dogs are allowed to be walked here, but I'd say check their updated website. Worth visiting if you're into this sort of thing.
