Home Depot dropped it in my doorway and refused to bring it any further. I called Garden State movers on a Saturday to which a very friendly lady took all my info, explained everything I needed to know, gave me a price, and gave me the time that they were arriving within a hour. A half hour before they came I received a phone call telling me exactly when they would arrive. When the 2 gentlemen arrived they introduced they're selves with a hand shake, and they then scoped out the job first. I questioned them that there was only 2 of them, how would they be be able to lift the vanity even though they Both were pretty buff. They had the vanity and the top in the bathroom in matter of 10 minutes. They were both very careful watching that they didn't drop or bang the vanity. I work in a position that requires every aspect of my job to be in place before the actual encounter date. I expected this company to be professionals and have everything in line before the moving date. In hindsight I see why the two moving companies I called before Garden State said they would send someone over a guy to do an estimate. The movers came and said nothing to me about not being packed correctly. I left for a moment and the foreman called Nicole and said I did not pack right. I'm no professional but I thought I did a great job. Nicole decided since I had three guys, (mind you the new guy was sick most of the move) and I did not pack right that she was raising the rate from $145 an hr. to $190 an hr. and taking away the 10% discount agreed upon in the contract. My bed is not properly put together, and I can't find screws for tv stands and other things, it's just a mess. I rely heavily on honest reviews, and I am happy that others seemed to have a good experience. Not me. BEWARE!!!

There's no way you'll get this service if you go with one of the big van lines. Out of a move that had the van packed full I had 2 broken dishes! And they were dishes that I packed, so it's not even on the guys. Every single thing that was packed by Cimply Labor made it down here without so much as a scratch. As a matter of fact, have an unwrapping party when you get to your new home because these guys do not cheap out on securely wrapping your belongings! I was very apprehensive about this move because all you read in reviews from big van lines are horror stories. Well there wasn't one thing I could complain about with Cimply Labor. I'd go so far as to say the move was enjoyable and allowed me to live in my excitement about moving to warm southwest florida! Please don't cheap out or fall for any hogwash the big van lines will feed you. Call Cimply Labor and get the move done right!

They subcontracted the job out to Zip to Zip, a completely different moving company that has its own problem ratings. Then, too few movers were sent. Every moving quote I received was for 5-6 movers, except for Cimply, who quoted a rate for basically "how ever many movers were needed". They sent four movers, one of whom was late. ZIP TO ZIP THEMSELVES quoted five movers for this job...but sent fewer movers than that. That of course, led to extra hours being charged, since 30% fewer movers will take 30% longer to do the work...while still charging the higher rate. On the move itself, they put things in wrong rooms, didn't reassemble all of the furniture they took apart (TVs, bookshelves, etc), and they broke the handle on an expensive humidor that I went out of my way to ask be handled with care. Apparently this is a pattern, because the people that recommended Cimply said "yeah I've heard three similar complaints recently, I may have to stop recommending them" I spoke to Tom post move - at first he was responsive, offered to try and resolve, and asked me for an email with details on the issues. Once I sent that, about a week ago, I heard nothing more than except acknowledging receipt of the email. The last straw was the humidor - I thought the handle just became loose during the move somehow. I asked my usual handyman to see about tightening the handle, and he explained that the door was damaged, probably by the humidor being picked up by that handle. I'm furious! The kicker is that the huge Eastern European movers stand on your head menacingly to have you e-sign the cc confirmation even before you are done. They know exactly what they are doing, and they count on the chaos of the move and the moment to cover up their problems. I'm still trying to unwind this disaster, and it's been weeks. Horrendous.

Not only because right AFTER we signed the contract, our contact person and the owner of the company, ALEX, became very rude and aggressive, but also because although we had a deadline by which we needed our furniture and boxes to be delivered, he was a week late. No sorry, no explanation, no trying to work things out and maybe refunding some of the money for not complying with his own contract. NOTHING. Just "do you want your stuff or NOT?" Well, that was our experience. Fast forward to this year when our elderly parents decided to move to South Florida from New Jersey as well. Against our advice NOT to use this guy, they decided to go with him anyway. Well, they are sorry now. Oh, and by the way, these people are an elderly in their 70s. Well, they were completely ripped off and this is putting it nicely. Alex was the only person that they dealt with the entire time. They needed to pack their house first (due to the fact that they sold it very quickly) and then move to South Florida a couple of months later. Alex and his guys detached and pulled the furniture apart. And the family helped packed the boxes and some of the valuables. One of those valuables was a large antique Italian mirror valued at over $2,000, a prized possession of this family. They pleaded with Alex to pack it adequately to make sure that it does not get damaged during the move. The family members packed it as much as they could themselves, wrapping it in plastic and blankets, and then asked Alex to put it in the box to which he replied: "don't tell me how to pack and move stuff. I do this for a living." Well, that mirror arrived completely broken. Alex would not return calls or address this situation in any way. Why would he, right? He made sure he got paid before the furniture was even taken off the truck and unpacked. And then, he disappeared and would not answer calls. AT ALL! During the packing of the furniture, Alex told the couple that they needed to give him a deposit of $400.00 for the "old and dirty" large blankets that were used to wrap some of the big pieces. However, upon delivery of the furniture, he was supposed to take the blankets back and return the $400.00 deposit. He failed to do that, claiming that the deposit was only refundable during 30 days. That was a lie. He never told the couple that there was a 30 day limit and he knew very well that the couple had to pack up their house and put everything in storage in New Jersey and then move to Florida a couple of months later. Again, the ripped them off an extra $400.00 for the ugly and disgusting blankets that he uses during his moves when it is his job to use these things to pack people's valuables in the first place. Also, upon arrival of the furniture at the designated address in South Florida, the movers that delivered the furniture DID NOT know how to put it back together because they were not the same movers that pulled the furniture apart during the packing. So, the couple ended up paying extra money to some local guys who were able to put the furniture together. Alex, once again, was nowhere to be found. He wouldn't answer calls or respond to voicemail that the couple left over and over again. Finally, when the furniture and the boxes were actually moved, not everything was delivered. Alex left back approximately 20 boxes, claiming that there was no more space on the truck for those boxes. Well, since he made the couple PAY THE REST OF THE MONEY when the truck arrived in South Florida - the movers basically told them either you pay now and we deliver it OR you won't get your stuff - he failed to deliver the rest of the 20 boxes COMPLETELY. The couple, in fear of using another scamming moving company, decided to ship those boxes via UPS, paying an extra $1,000 on top of what they already paid US Power Moving. Alex and his moving company completely ripped off this elderly couple during their move. They paid over $6,000 all together and ended up with damaged valuables and horrible moving experience. SHAME ON YOU ALEX, PERSONALLY, FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THESE NICE AND TRUSTING PEOPLE.

This is $800 cash and the $300 is a check. He refused and did not want to unload my TV's I had to call the police to fix him up. He is Bad . Be curful.
