They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. We cannot recommend this mover to anyone. They moved my 99 year- old mother-in-law from one two…read morebedroom apartment to another one just down the block. They arrived at the first apartment at 9 am and did not finish packing until 9 pm. They did not complete the move until 2:30 am! Per my mother-in-law, the company sent someone ahead to assess the apartment, the furniture, and provide an estimate. He estimated 10 hours but the move took 15 hours and they charged by the hour, which added several hundred dollars to the cost. If someone comes to assess, would that person not measure the furniture and the elevator? (the movers claimed items were too big to move or could not fit in the elevator). That should be the point of a preliminary visit. At one point, they threatened not to unload the truck unless they were paid immediately. They also broke a fixture in the building hallway which led the building's manager to keep calling us, adding to the stress. Initially, they denied breaking it, though it was clear there was no other way this could have happened. This is no way to do business. The entire episode left our family with a terrible feeling and was highly upsetting to a fragile 99 year old.
