As a real estate agent, I was working on behalf of a client who inherited a home filled to the brim with stuff. There were items that could be repurposed, resold, recycled, etc. and there was a deduction made from the estimate for those items. This company is horrifying to me. I was charged thousands of dollars to clean out my late grand fathers house full of decent stuff and collectibles. I would've done it myself but life with 4 kids and 2 jobs wouldn't allow it. Jenn Padula told me that everything would be donated to mothers in need and other facebook groups but later I found Jenn Padula was reselling all of my grandpa's stuff on Facebook market place. She charges her customers money to take away their deceased loved ones valuables just to resell. Such a shame! read more

So, having had a wonderful experience with Jennifer a few months ago, I decided to see if she could be consistent. She was consistent today. Her crew was perfect. They arrived on time. They dismantled the oversize items for disposal. Apparently the house was built around them. These men wore masks to protect me and I applaud that. They were efficient and courteous and they thoroughly cleaned up. They didn't have any oatmeal cookies for me but promised them for the next time. Consider it Done helped my mom out of a bind after Salvation Army failed to pick up furniture we were donating. Had to have it out of her old apt. within 2 days and they saved the day. Jennifer was great to deal with on the phone, listening to my story and accommodating me as best she could. She even went above and beyond to schedule the pick up at the most convenient time for us. The guys who came to move the furniture (I have forgotten their names) were prompt, polite and efficient. The contract, quote and procedures were well spelled out and there were no surprise add ons. Try to price around and get a place that will do an in-person estimate. If the stuff isn't curbside and the workers aren't loading fast enough she will charge extra for any moving or any job going over 10-15 minutes she will find an excuse to charge you. I had a 2 piece desk, she charged for each piece. They picked up some dressers and wouldn't even take the drawers to them because she told the worker to stop the job because they were taking too long. They here for only 30 minutes and most of that time was the owner calling asking why it was taking so long and why items were being added on. You'd think she'd be happy with the business but she can care less about the customer and isn't sympathetic to difficult jobs and situations. read more

This lady Jennifer is a bald-faced liar. She quoted my wife $1700 to clean out our house without even look at it and when her and Ben got there they said no it's going to be 10 K. Yes she didn't speak to me she spoke to my wife who has a different last name so obviously she just can't put two together.. read more

It's a shame that my family and I did not see these reviews previously. Jennifer is a dishonest and money hungry owner. She said everything was same day, had the workers take pictures and reviewing them for over 20 minutes keeping everyone waiting to then quote over $5,000. Again with the workers and the trucks here in an attempt to claim her exorbitant price. She had the workers come at 6:30 am instead of 7:00 am. I agreed only to have a few items taken, which itself was still a ripoff. Her strong arm tactics are reflective of her dishonest and unscrupulous business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. To the workers who are the only good thing about the business, please find a different employer you deserve better. read more

We called this company primarily because they say they donate and recycle. We needed a quick removal of a home. They were on time and the workers were great but now for the bad...we were initially quoted 275 for a small truck. They do not estimate until they are actually here were quoted $3800. Outrageous and they have you at a disadvantage because they know you need it done when they get there. We were at a loss as what to do but because of time restraints had to pay. As stated in so many other reviews, they pull bait and switch. Quote a price on the phone, then after changing pick up time, say a different price because stuff was not on a list. Price increased over three times, but thank God they reduced the price of the paint cans in half. They have you in a precarious position as you are all moved out except for junk anf you can do nothing about it. Do NOT USE this company. read more

The crew was nice, efficient and punctual. But the owner takes advantage of you coming and going! My mom never received an accurate quote, even after an email was sent with pictures of all that needed to be removed (which they now deny receiving). The owner led my mom to believe it would only be a few hundred dollars. Then they show up and tell me $2750! Had I known that days ago I would have rented a dumpster days ago for 1/4 the cost! Instead my mother is against the wall with her closing tomorrow with no choice but to pay this ridiculous amount. Way to take advantage of a senior citizen who just lost her husband. As if this move isn't emotional enough we have to be taken advantage of on top of it. You should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

I needed only one piece of furniture taken out of my mother's former apartment. Consider it Done gave me a fair quote, then a 5% discount. We set a date and they said that they would call with a timeframe. They called when they said they would and then came in the middle of that timeframe. The two men were polite and business-like, yet fun, too. They were in and out in less than 20 minutes. I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Great company! Prompt, followed through and did exactly what they said they would do. This usually doesn't happen with contractors. I used Consider It Done to remove accumulated junk from my basement. Workers were polite and did and good job! I'd recommend using them for anyone who needs to have things removed! Sadly something I saw in a previous review is about right. Scary. For more than they took, I was quoted $385 plus tax of about 6% less 5% discount. They came in revising to over $500. I was so shocked I don't recall the exact amount. I removed a few items from the pickup and it was revised to $421 and change. The donation was comprised of working appliances including two working air conditioners, curling iron, pancake grill and waffle iron, which could easily be sold. Table and chairs that could be reinforced and used again or sold and other miscellaneous donation items and boxes for recycling. I expected to pay less than $400. Very disappointed. read more

Was cleaning out house for estate. Hired Consider it done. The reason for the 2 stars are the guys Tom And Jim who were great guys and hard workers. Reason I didn't give five starts is owner Jennifer pulls bait and switch. Only wrote certain things on paper that she had guys bring with them. Then had guys take pictures for first hour and proceeds to tell me on phone I never told her about garage or shed or kitchen items (which I did!) and wanted to go from 1350 to 2500.00. She knew I came from 3 hours away. Needless to say we finished house on our own. Never again!! Please use got junk or get a dumpster! A shame it took you two years to respond to my review Jennifer. That being said, what I wrote is the truth. You rip people off. You wouldn't even let one of your workers take a set of brand new China to give to someone in need!! Read your other reviews! Was moving my mom from Edison to NJ. Contacted them, told them exactly what furniture we were getting rid of. They quoted me about $300. We wound up getting rid of half the furniture before they arrived. After their walk through they told me it would be $900 to get rid of furniture and miscellaneous items. I told them my mom couldn't afford that. Then they started to negotiate. Cost me 2x the amount quoted for half the furniture to be removed. Don't hire them. read more

CID was hired to remove all the furniture we were not moving south. Two men arrived on time, introduced themselves, checked that the price quoted was correct, and proceeded to do a difficult job without any damage to walls or doors. Much of this was heavy and unwieldy and they had no problem getting the job done. I will be recommending this service to my friends who are planning to move. read more

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, Had a nightmare experience that lasted 4 hours and they didn't have the equipment they needed to remove what I had contracted them to do. They charged me anyway and when I asked them to just grab something small and put it in their truck instead they said they would have to charge me more!!! read more

This belongs in the junk removal and hauling section but can't figure out how to write in that category. We are looking for a service to remove some old furniture and so I called Consider It Done. The nice thing is that they provide an estimate over the phone. However, the customer service rep asked me how many pick-up trucks it would take to cart away the old furntiure. At the most, I can envision two pick-up trucks. He insisted it would take at least three. Part of what is confusing is that on their website, their pricing is based upon a full truckload of a larger truck, not a pick-up truck. And I am not sure that most customers can visualize how much space their furniture will take in a truck. The main reason why I am giving them one star is that when you want to schedule the pick-up, they give you a day. A full-day as a possible pick-up time! Then the day before, they will call and give you an actual time. We are looking at working with Remove My Junk because they let you pick the day and time that you want them to come and pick up the furniture. In today's busy lifestyles, I don't think most people have an entire day they can set aside for a possible furniture pick-up. read more
