I would give them 0 stars if I could. I shipped 2 packages from Portsmouth, NH and it passed through the Shamrock, TX processing center on its way to California. At some point in the shipping process, FedEx opened my packages, STOLE 95% of the contents, repackaged the remaining 5% of the contents in different packaging than it was originally shipped in, stuck the same label on the new box and delivered it WITHOUT a notice as to why my package was opened. When I called to file a claim for my $3,500 worth of missing contents they closed the case twice saying "my package was delivered" although the problem was my stolen items, not the actual delivery. After 5 weeks of spending countless hours on the phone with them, filing claim after claim via email/phone, going to multiple branch locations, tracking down where the box was actually opened and repackaged, providing proof of missing contents and wrong packaging, they closed my case for a final time with a check for $100 without viewing their own cameras or opening an investigation as to what happened. I was told in the end it was too late to open an investigation because it was past 7-10 days, although I've been contacting them about this case almost every single day since it was delivered for 5 weeks.
Especially during a time like this where everyone is struggling due to the pandemic or otherwise, I'm shocked at the lack of compassion from a corporation who is thriving and profiting due to the current economic situation where shipping has become more of a norm than ever before. $3,500 is nothing to a corporation like this, but it's everything to me. FedEx is supposed to be trustworthy and reliable, but they've shown complete disregard, terrible customer service, and lack of responsibility. This seems like a cover-up to me for their employees STEALING people's belongings and not wanting to own up to it. I'm beyond angry, disappointed, and will NEVER use them for my shipping needs ever again. I recommend anyone reading this to choose UPS. read more
