I have tried repeatedly to get to a live representative, which FedEx makes impossible. Their idiot driver left my package at a clearly abandoned house two doors down from me, EVEN THOUGH THE SHIPPER LABELED THE PACKAGE CORRECTLY. Delivery in my area has recently become unreliable. Thanks only to the Shop app, I saw that it had been delivered to the abandoned house and was able to retrieve it. Their service used to be good. But no more. Worthless. Item was ordered from Lowe's to be delivered to Lowe's for pick up. First day it was in Grimes, it said operational delay. Next day it was on the truck for delivery, said delivery was not attempted and another operational delay. Third day it said it was again on the truck for delivery then said can not deliver, incorrect address, shipment delay. Really? Y'all can't find Lowe's? Now it says ready for recipient pick up. Great. No where does it state WHERE to pick it up, it just says Grimes. Nothing shows up in Grimes on FedEx website except for drop boxes. Google shows a delivery center, no times, no phone number. I had trouble last week with them and now again this week. My pkg. came later than it was suppose too, but I had know problem with that as I knew the weather and roads were bad. Last night I got a email saying it had been delivered at my front door. I opened my apt. door and nothing was there. I went downstairs and looked outside. Still nothing there. I made 7 phone calls to customer service before I could get a human being on the line. They filed a case on it. At 9 pm last night my neighbor below me found it in the back at the fire escape steps. I am 78 years old and when you say it is outside my front door then I expect it to be outside my apt. door which is my front door. I have another one coming tomorrow so let's see where they leave this one My neighbor below me thinks they left it at the apt. complex behind us and someone brought it over and left it by the fire escape. Employee with ID number 9014101 opened our package and repackaged it with a new label before sending us 2 of the 3 items in the original package. Not surprisingly, the most expensive item was gone. The reason for the new label was "damaged barcode label" and could have been fixed by placing a new label on the original package. The time, their ID number and the location number on the new label helped me locate where FedEx's thief works. They need to let this unsavory character find a new job. read more

I received a notification that a delivery attempt was made when my husband and I were eating dinner. Our front door leads to our dining room. We never heard a knock or received a door tag. Their customer service call center is VERY unhelpful and online chat is even worse. Their drivers are reckless and lazy. I wish this company was never given my package it's impossible to get it from them once they have it. Will never recommend this company. I've never had a good or even remotely okay experience with them. They make things more difficult then they need to be no matter how patient and understanding their customers are. Multiple times my orders have been stolen because Fedex drivers are just dumping packages outside my apartment complex, and their customer service number try to tell you that the address is correct but the name isn't, WTH Fedex, I have had to reorder multiple times to have orders resent because it's mysteriously delivered. Saturday morning we received a voicemail the the intercept that they received for our package (2 blocks from our home since we wouldn't be home to sign for it) didn't get to them until after the driver already left. Apparently the same person can't just call the driver. We'd have to wait 3 days or come pick it up in Grimes. Fine. The person did not leave the location's hours on the message. And they are NOT posted on line anywhere. You can't even get them on the FedEx website or phone tree. After much time, we finally got through to a live person (corporate) who said they are not open on the weekend. That would be an odd thing for the person who called us on Saturday morning not to mention. I guess you can pick up packages there, but they don't want you to know when you can come. read more

Both WORTHLESS Delivery people did not knock, I have often seen a Fat little 40 yr old woman run back to her truck like a scared chicken after quietly leaning my packaged guitars against my home with 2 cars in the driveway! No Knock on door! The Last expensive guitar was left outside while I was at home and it went thru 2 massive thunderstorms. It was so soaked with water in its case that it split in 2, right down the middle. Again, 3 days ago, they left a 2nd pkg out in the Frigid cold for hours while I was home, No knock. I have never had a problem getting a package before companies decided to start using this Fedex Home Delivery service. WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. They had our save the dates for our wedding for 5 days and would not deliver them OR leave a slip for us to sign to leave them at our apartment building. My fiance had to drive a half hour to Grimes to pick them up. THEN I was supposed to have a package delivered last Saturday and I WAS HOME and the delivery driver declined to ring our buzzer or even go the 10 steps to the office to drop off my package. They are closed on Monday so Tuesday my fiance drives the half hour to Grimes to pick up the package again and it was already on the truck, ok no problem they said they would call the driver to leave it at our apartment, guess what HE DID NOT DO THAT. Now they say they are leaving it at a Fedex Store downtown but we will see if it is actually there when we get there. There are also explicit instructions posted on our apartment doors that say to take packages to the office but clearly the driver is too lazy to do that or follow instructions from his home office. I will NEVER order from a company again if I know they use Fedex. This is the WORST location for delivery service in the DSM metro. I never had a problem with the SW 9th office delivering something to me or holding it at the office so I can go pick it up. read more

I wish there were something less than one star for this. I ordered a birthday present for my son. FEDEX was the delivery service that handled the package. It was supposed to be delivered on 6/10/2015. Received notification from FEDEX at approximately 3:00pm on my phone that the package had been delivered to my front door at 10:54 am on 6/10/2015. I was in my front yard at the time and seen the FedEx just down the street so I went down there to ask him if he had a delivery for my address and he told me he didn't. I left to go ball game at 12:30 pm and got back home around 3:30 pm to pickup the package but guess what no package. So I called FEDEX to ask them what happened and of course they said it had been delivered. I told the nice person on the phone that it wasn't there. He was very polite and said he would try and help me. I gave him all my information and said he normally doesn't give out case numbers but because it was a present so he would. He hold me he would have to contact the drive and find out were he delivered the package to and call me back with in 2 hours. Around 2 hours later someone named Walter called me back and said he was in charge of my case and that he would contact the delivery driver and that the driver had 48 business hours to get back in contact with him and explain were he delivered the package. He than ask me to describe what my house looked like and the exact location of my home. I explained all this to Walter. I waited 48 hours and heard nothing. So I call them back myself this time I talked to a nice lady that asked me to hold while she called the Grimes Ia delivery center to try and see what happened. About 5 minutes later she asked me if I NOT them had checked with my neighbors to see if they had the package. I have been to the neighbors up and down the steet but none of them have it. She told me that she would pass this on to Walter and that he would be calling me back after 5:00 pm. I have never heard from Walter at all since that first time. This is the 4th time in less than 1 year that this has happened to me with FEDEX. I Also have another package right now that FedEx handed off to Post Office 6/10/2015 through there smart post delivery service. Somehow FedEx add SE to the address witch sent it to the wrong address. This is the third time this has happened. It is now Saturday not a business day. When I order anything online that has to be shipped if my only option is FEDEX for shipping I will look for the item elsewhere. SAVE THE HEADACHES don't use fedex. read more

I, too, wish I could leave a negative number for the Grimes FedEx office (and FedEx as a whole). Package presented to the Kansas City FedEx office by the retailer on 12/10. It sat there for THREE DAYS before they shipped it to the Grimes, Iowa FedEx center. On 12/14, the tracking showed it had left the Grimes FedEx Center, in route to the Polk City, Iowa post office, about 15 miles away. As I write this, it's 12/17. In FOUR DAYS, FedEx could not manage to deliver this package to my local Post Office 15 miles away. An entire week has gone by, with something that should have been delivered within 3 days. It's a food product, so the food is now spoiled, and the company is re-sending the item to me for free, and said it will file a claim with FedEx for losing the package. Did FedEx just lose it, or did someone steal it? Who knows, but it seems to have disappeared. Boo on FedEx. Never using them again. read more
