My daughter is having a party to celebrate her birthday tomorrow and I needed to pick up a large photo of her in West Des Moines. The shipper sent it too late and the photo wasn't going to arrive until Monday! I explained my problem and I just have to give a shout out to Dave in the office! He is my HERO! He found the photo in the warehouse and delivered it to me within the hour!!! Thank you Dave. You made our daughter's birthday and our year so much happier!!! read more

This Hub is terrible. Driver didn't deliver to me and 1st listed my item as unavailable to deliver (claiming I was not there--I work from home and the front door was WIDE OPEN), 2nd 'incorrect address' (called and had rep put address in Google maps and it was there w/BIG RED PORCH...unmissable unless the late Ray Charles was driving) and then will deliver next day before 10:30 am. Today it was supposed to be here at 10:30 am. My company paid for next day delivery and they gave it to a contractor that has not repercussions when they don't feel like delivering. When is the public going to get tired enough to start holding these companies' feet to the fire. I'm ready, if you all are. Cost me 208 bucks per day that I miss work. Thanks FedEx. Please note in the photo that all the action happened in Grimes when it was to be delivered to DSM. Make it make sense because it doesn't make cents! read more

Fedex Delivery Center - Failure. Shameless failure. - Couriers & Delivery Services Near Me - Grimes, Iowa

Fed Ex is absolut trash! My package was supposed to be over nightened due to medications in it well guess what they loaded it on the wrong truck so now I have to drive an hour to pick it up! what a joke of a company read more

First of all, I'm not a person that usually complains or writes bad reviews, but this compamy beat all. I was expecting a package on the 21st of October. I was home until 1:00 and then had to leave town to help my daughter. The delivery arrived around 1:50 p.m. I saw the delivery driver and tried to communicate through the ring door camera, but since I was driving the internet reception was bad and I could not talk with him The next day, the delivery driver showed up at my house and I communicated to him though the ring door camera. I told him that I would not be home until Friday night. His response was "good to know". I would have thought he would have at least held the package until Monday, but know antother attempt was made on Friday and another sticker appeared on my door. I was hoping to get the package on Monday, the 26th, but received a call from an employee in the office who stated that no more attemps would be made and I would have to pick up the package in Grimes, Iowa. She said four attempts have been made, but that was incorrect. Only three actual attempts were tried. I ended up driving ti Grimes, Iowa about 50 minutes from where I live and picked up the pacakage. I was very nice and thanked the lady who brought me my package. I did not say a word about the delivery mess. Here is the kicker, a few minutes ago and Fedex Delivery Truck just drove by my house. Unbeliveable. I wish it was, but unfortunately it's true. I would not reccomend this company and hope I don't have to deal with them again. read more

This shipping company is terrible. I have been waiting for a delivery for two days. I missed them the first day so the second day I stayed home until 9:00 PM and no one showed up. The Third day they didn't even ring the door to tell me they were here So I still do not have my package! They are nearly impossible to reach by phone and two times they gave me misinformation about the delivery! Today is October 8, 2026 and I still do not have my package! read more

Terrible service . Often has false information as to when to expect deliveries by several days . I have often had packages left by my car and not at the front door . No door knock nothing . Packages sit at grimes for days waiting for pick up. read more

Had a live animal be delayed due to not arriving on time for the delivery guys to put it in the truck, BS my Axolotl had been there for two days when i had pay for overnight shipping and called em about it and let them know it was a live animal. I ended up going to pick it up. read more

Absolutely horrible. can't have anything dropped off, pay x amount for something just so this place to take it back ? I had 2 items out for shipping both the same amount of money, on was delivered and one was not. try a call to get it picked up? Can't do that. have to wait until the next business day, when once again no one will be home because if you want anything nice in this country you can't sit at home on Your ass all day, unless you're illegal or scamming the ones that are working. shit is mind blowing read more

Again, FedEx has Misdelivered my package worth $120. to a Commercial Building Office instead of delivering it to my personal Home Residence. This is happening more often these past 6 months and the Delivery Driver should be Fired since its the same Driver doing this!!! read more

Management is a joke. The people sitting in the offices don't have a clue on what's actually going on out on the warehouse floor. One of the worst ran companies and it keeps getting worse every year. Every package is delayed, and it's never when they say it'll be at your place. read more

My package has been sitting here for days and keeps getting delayed for no reason. Fedex is insanely incompetent and couldnt care less about on time delivery read more

I placed a order that was to to be 2 day shipping on September 5. It was shipped the same day. And I'm still waiting for that package to be delivered and it September 11th. Its been sitting in the Grimes facility for 3 days. Talked to 3 different people about this issue and still nothing. This is supposed to be part of my husband's birthday present and we are celebrating it on Saturday. I'm very disappointed!!!!! DO BETTER FEDEX!!!!! read more

I have tried repeatedly to get to a live representative, which FedEx makes impossible. Their idiot driver left my package at a clearly abandoned house two doors down from me, EVEN THOUGH THE SHIPPER LABELED THE PACKAGE CORRECTLY. Delivery in my area has recently become unreliable. Thanks only to the Shop app, I saw that it had been delivered to the abandoned house and was able to retrieve it. Their service used to be good. But no more. I'd rate it zero stars if that were an option. read more

Worthless. Item was ordered from Lowe's to be delivered to Lowe's for pick up. First day it was in Grimes, it said operational delay. Next day it was on the truck for delivery, said delivery was not attempted and another operational delay. Third day it said it was again on the truck for delivery then said can not deliver, incorrect address, shipment delay. Really? Y'all can't find Lowe's? Now it says ready for recipient pick up. Great. No where does it state WHERE to pick it up, it just says Grimes. Nothing shows up in Grimes on FedEx website except for drop boxes. Google shows a delivery center, no times, no phone number. Wish me luck. read more

Worthless is correct. Don't understand why sellers deal with this pos. My address is correct, and they refuse to deliver and inconvenience me to come pick it up. read more

I had trouble last week with them and now again this week. My pkg. came later than it was suppose too, but I had know problem with that as I knew the weather and roads were bad. Last night I got a email saying it had been delivered at my front door. I opened my apt. door and nothing was there. I went downstairs and looked outside. Still nothing there. I made 7 phone calls to customer service before I could get a human being on the line. They filed a case on it. At 9 pm last night my neighbor below me found it in the back at the fire escape steps. I am 78 years old and when you say it is outside my front door then I expect it to be outside my apt. door which is my front door. I have another one coming tomorrow so let's see where they leave this one My neighbor below me thinks they left it at the apt. complex behind us and someone brought it over and left it by the fire escape. I am so tired of this. read more

FedEx is A PIECE OF SHIT. My package was expected a week ago and has since been "out for delivery" and then "delayed could not deliver" four times now!!!! I just moved and need this piece of furniture. Can never get a hold of anyone who actually does any good or helps once so ever. So dissapointed. I JUST WANT TO PICK MY DAMN PACKAGE UP. But was told I can't do that. FUCK FEDEX read more

Employee with ID number 9014101 opened our package and repackaged it with a new label before sending us 2 of the 3 items in the original package. Not surprisingly, the most expensive item was gone. The reason for the new label was "damaged barcode label" and could have been fixed by placing a new label on the original package. The time, their ID number and the location number on the new label helped me locate where FedEx's thief works. They need to let this unsavory character find a new job. read more

man, i tried & tried to leave a thorough & negative review, but was repeatedly told i was too wordy. try this: you guys suck it. read more

I received a notification that a delivery attempt was made when my husband and I were eating dinner. Our front door leads to our dining room. We never heard a knock or received a door tag. Their customer service call center is VERY unhelpful and online chat is even worse. Their drivers are reckless and lazy. I wish this company was never given my package it's impossible to get it from them once they have it. Will never recommend this company. I've never had a good or even remotely okay experience with them. They make things more difficult then they need to be no matter how patient and understanding their customers are. I'm not one to leave reviews but if you have to deal with them I apologize in advance for how terrible they are. read more

FedEx is seriously the bane of my existence. I've never had so many delivery issues. Most recently I've wasted HOURS and taken time off work to be home for a delivery, only for my driver to not even attempt to do their job. Unbelievable. Customer service is absolutely horrible. If I figure out a way to NEVER have FedEx touch a package of mine again, I'm going to. read more

Zero stars. Worst service. Every experience with this FedEx center has been terrible. Package has been out for delivery for two days and still haven't received it. This is not the first occurrence with "pending" delivery. Called customer service and said no one is at Grimes center to handle customer service. Poor quality and awful logistics all around. Zero stars read more

Fedex Delivery Center - Couriers & Delivery Services Near Me - Grimes, Iowa

I am not happy with Fedex at all. Multiple times my orders have been stolen because Fedex drivers are just dumping packages outside my apartment complex, and their customer service number try to tell you that the address is correct but the name isn't, WTH Fedex, I have had to reorder multiple times to have orders resent because it's mysteriously delivered. Yet there's nothing at the door. I know when they scan boxes it comes up that the drivers are to RING door buzzers. read more

I bought a recliner. When FedEx delivered it they left it downstairs at the wrong address. I called them and they lied and said the driver would come back and bring the item upstairs. I have no way to get the box up stairs. What an awful company!!! read more

Delivery guy threw my package down and tapped my door once. Went back to his truck to retrieve my second box, he then threw it from the sidewalk to my porch! On camera! Yes, it's been reported. I will never use FedEx again. read more

The FedEx driver left my large and heavy package in the open at the bottom of my apartment complex. Not outside my door, not in the main office, just left in the main common area for anyone to take. On top of it, the package was a gift and needed to be brought upstairs (I live on the 3rd floor) so my PREGNANT self had to lug it up there! Not okay. read more

FedEx is the worst delivery service. They always say they attempt delivery and I'm not home but my camera proves otherwise. Then they say my address is bad and delivered to a random house. Luckily the lady was honest and called me to pick my package up from her house. TERRIBLE!!!! read more

Saturday morning we received a voicemail the the intercept that they received for our package (2 blocks from our home since we wouldn't be home to sign for it) didn't get to them until after the driver already left. Apparently the same person can't just call the driver. We'd have to wait 3 days or come pick it up in Grimes. Fine. The person did not leave the location's hours on the message. And they are NOT posted on line anywhere. You can't even get them on the FedEx website or phone tree. After much time, we finally got through to a live person (corporate) who said they are not open on the weekend. That would be an odd thing for the person who called us on Saturday morning not to mention. I guess you can pick up packages there, but they don't want you to know when you can come. read more

Fed Ex is the Worse Carrier of them all after 30 years of Shipping Business!!! They've Destroyed my last 2 shipments containing $700.00 Ovation Acoustic Electric Guitars. Both WORTHLESS Delivery people did not knock, I have often seen a Fat little 40 yr old woman run back to her truck like a scared chicken after quietly leaning my packaged guitars against my home with 2 cars in the driveway! No Knock on door! The Last expensive guitar was left outside while I was at home and it went thru 2 massive thunderstorms. It was so soaked with water in its case that it split in 2, right down the middle. Again, 3 days ago, they left a 2nd pkg out in the Frigid cold for hours while I was home, No knock. I have never had a problem getting a package before companies decided to start using this Fedex Home Delivery service. WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. They had our save the dates for our wedding for 5 days and would not deliver them OR leave a slip for us to sign to leave them at our apartment building. My fiance had to drive a half hour to Grimes to pick them up. THEN I was supposed to have a package delivered last Saturday and I WAS HOME and the delivery driver declined to ring our buzzer or even go the 10 steps to the office to drop off my package. They are closed on Monday so Tuesday my fiance drives the half hour to Grimes to pick up the package again and it was already on the truck, ok no problem they said they would call the driver to leave it at our apartment, guess what HE DID NOT DO THAT. Now they say they are leaving it at a Fedex Store downtown but we will see if it is actually there when we get there. There are also explicit instructions posted on our apartment doors that say to take packages to the office but clearly the driver is too lazy to do that or follow instructions from his home office. I will NEVER order from a company again if I know they use Fedex. This is the WORST location for delivery service in the DSM metro. I never had a problem with the SW 9th office delivering something to me or holding it at the office so I can go pick it up. read more

Had some issues with deliveries because of my private lane, but the route owner, and an employee (Vicki) did every single thing in their power to get the job done by keeping me informed with phone calls and messages. No phone number. Can not tell them that I won't be home. Got there email changing date of delivery one day earlier. Got email 12 hours before delivery. They just threw the package on my front step and left. When I said maybe you shouldn't throw it he just in truck and drove away

I wish there were something less than one star for this. I ordered a birthday present for my son. FEDEX was the delivery service that handled the package. It was supposed to be delivered on 6/10/2015. Received notification from FEDEX at approximately 3:00pm on my phone that the package had been delivered to my front door at 10:54 am on 6/10/2015. I was in my front yard at the time and seen the FedEx just down the street so I went down there to ask him if he had a delivery for my address and he told me he didn't. I left to go ball game at 12:30 pm and got back home around 3:30 pm to pickup the package but guess what no package. So I called FEDEX to ask them what happened and of course they said it had been delivered. I told the nice person on the phone that it wasn't there. He was very polite and said he would try and help me. I gave him all my information and said he normally doesn't give out case numbers but because it was a present so he would. He hold me he would have to contact the drive and find out were he delivered the package to and call me back with in 2 hours. Around 2 hours later someone named Walter called me back and said he was in charge of my case and that he would contact the delivery driver and that the driver had 48 business hours to get back in contact with him and explain were he delivered the package. He than ask me to describe what my house looked like and the exact location of my home. I explained all this to Walter. I waited 48 hours and heard nothing. So I call them back myself this time I talked to a nice lady that asked me to hold while she called the Grimes Ia delivery center to try and see what happened. About 5 minutes later she asked me if I NOT them had checked with my neighbors to see if they had the package. I have been to the neighbors up and down the steet but none of them have it. She told me that she would pass this on to Walter and that he would be calling me back after 5:00 pm. I have never heard from Walter at all since that first time. This is the 4th time in less than 1 year that this has happened to me with FEDEX. I Also have another package right now that FedEx handed off to Post Office 6/10/2015 through there smart post delivery service. Somehow FedEx add SE to the address witch sent it to the wrong address. This is the third time this has happened. It is now Saturday not a business day. When I order anything online that has to be shipped if my only option is FEDEX for shipping I will look for the item elsewhere. SAVE THE HEADACHES don't use fedex. read more

I, too, wish I could leave a negative number for the Grimes FedEx office (and FedEx as a whole). Package presented to the Kansas City FedEx office by the retailer on 12/10. It sat there for THREE DAYS before they shipped it to the Grimes, Iowa FedEx center. On 12/14, the tracking showed it had left the Grimes FedEx Center, in route to the Polk City, Iowa post office, about 15 miles away. As I write this, it's 12/17. In FOUR DAYS, FedEx could not manage to deliver this package to my local Post Office 15 miles away. An entire week has gone by, with something that should have been delivered within 3 days. It's a food product, so the food is now spoiled, and the company is re-sending the item to me for free, and said it will file a claim with FedEx for losing the package. Did FedEx just lose it, or did someone steal it? Who knows, but it seems to have disappeared. Boo on FedEx. Never using them again. read more
