I had a simple request...please send this package without needing a signature upon arrival. This was a surprise gift and had to be done this way. Tim assured me after I double checked with him before leaving that no signature would be required. Well-he was wrong because he forgot to uncheck the box that says no signature required! A simple task that he did not do! I was the only one in the store at the time so they were not busy at all. I will never go back because the staff cannot be trusted to do their job correctly. Now I am left with a huge problem!

I just wanted a quote because the post office bowled me over with what they were going to do me in with when it came to their oversize Parcel Post package surcharge (just under $70 total w/ delivery confirmation and $100 insurance vs. $15 for the standard P.Post package/weight charge). UPS charges would have run about $60. I put sending the mirror out on hold, but did not realize I didn't have to waste my time packing that irregular sucker myself (and what a PIA it was). Per the nice UPS Store guy, If you buy the packing box/materials from, and ship with, them, they will pack it for you. I'd always thought the actual packing was an extra charge and avoided going that far before. Good to know! Oh, and per my BF, the UPS shipping place in Pontiac has a real cranky older woman who hassles him everytime he ships out an Ebay package. I advised him, as I would advise you, to make the trip to this store in Waterford to minimize any and all aggravations.

Over the years I have had many many cases of wine shipped to this FedEx store and held for pick-up…read moredue to the close proximity to my house. The wine has always arrived safe and I have gotten text notifications to advise me when they are available for pickup which is a nice feature of the FedEx system. The thing I have always noted about this location is the friendly attitude at the pick up counter, which is much appreciated especially when you consider it is usually woman that are hauling my heavy boxes of wine from the back with never a complaint. The smiles I get and occasional friendly banter on where is the party is most commendable considering they are moving boxes around all day long and many of them heavy like mine. Aside from the obvious shipping business this location also has workstations, printing services, faxing, stationary and presentation materials for sale at this location. These other services are sometimes overlooked as they are not the first thing to come to mind when you think FedEx.....

Today, I was taking a particularly long time to find the address I needed in my phone. The man who helped us (owner or manager??) was soo patient and showed my 3 year old some cute (and impressive!) magic tricks while we waited. My son thought they were soo cool and couldn't believe he made a couple items disappear. It was super sweet and made the time fun and easy. Either they've "never heard of it" before, or "don't know where to find it." I get the idea the management doesn't equip their employees with the knowledge to do much else except mail packages.
