The home loan world can be a foreign and imposing place. I feel very lucky that Prime Lending handled my loan, especially under the circumstances. As a first time home buyer, I was completely green to the process. I couldn't have asked for a better company to guide me through. With Prime Lending's help, I was able to take my home from a complete dark and dank gut-job to a warm, inviting space that people compliment the moment they enter. So, when interest rates dropped and I wanted to shoot for a lower monthly APR, I went back to Prime Lending. My refinance loan spanned the first year of the pandemic, when I unexpectedly and suddenly became unemployed. We had already gone through 99% of the process when this happened. Jeff was incredibly sensitive and understanding. Since I had already paid for a home appraisal, he said he would not charge me again when the time came. He kept his word 7 months later, when I was back to being employed in the fall and we once again started the refi process. As fate would have it, I got a better rate--so there were some silver linings to waiting, as well. This review is just for this particular branch. If you have a basic deposit or withdrawal, the tellers can do that. But anything remotely complicated, the tellers will screw it up. On any given day the tellers are 1) chatting between each other to the point that you feel like you're being intrusive for deigning to go up to conduct business, 2) deer in the headlights like it's their first day and they have no clue, 3) if you're getting cash back, say $40 and you ask for a twenty, ten, five, and five singles instead of the two twenties they got out, and the obvious disgust for this not very special request. Type number 4 is the worst, though: the Nosy Nellie. I went to get a cashier's check to close on some real estate. The teller asked me if the amount of the check was the sales price, where the property was located, if I was moving into that house. I finally had to say I don't feel comfortable answering these questions, and NN became a big grump. In a word, don't go unless you absolutely have to, like the ATM is down and you need to make a deposit or get cash.

This bank is one VERY unorganized institution!! I started a HELOC account back in November and…read moreagreed to a non-interest checking account as long as I kept $500 in the account. Someone within the bank changed up my account WITHOUT my approval and started charging me fees for not having $2,000 in the account. I called and complained and they removed the charges. It started happening again in March. Nobody resolved the issue even though I made repeated calls. They finally put the account back to what it was originally and Had to get approval from a manager to remove the charges. I spoke with John Cambert (Horrible Mgr in Pittsburgh) who was curt and extremely unfriendly. He had no explanation or reasoning for not removing the charges. I could go on with other unorganized aspects I have experienced, but it would be a long list!! Stay clear of this organization!!!
