Thanks to all the great reviews here on Yelp and also a referral from one of my very good friends we decided to go with Mustard Seed as a place for my daughter to grow. She was 4 years old when she started and was very, very shy and was nervous. But it did not take her long to warm up and get comfortable with her super sweet classmates and the wonderful staff. The following year she continued onto TK and flourished into this bright intelligent little girl. The teachers at Mustard Seed did such an amazing job teaching the all the students and preparing them for Kindergarten. My daughter is currently in 2nd grade and is reading at the 6th grade level and I can't imagine her advancing to this level of education if it weren't for Mustard Seed. Fast forward - I needed child care for my youngest son as I prepared to go back to work and so thankful they have a toddler program I was able to enroll my son in at 18 months old. They love and care for all the children like it were their own and this gives us parents a peace of mind. He is now 3 1/2 years old and graduated to the preschool room where he absolutely loves to learn and play with his classmates that he calls, his best friends.

So the HR woman gave me the wrong kind of Live Scan form which I didn't know at the time and I ended up paying 62 dollars which I really couldn't afford. Then I found out today that she sent the correct form out yesterday which is the one I wouldn't had to pay anything. She hadn't even put the billing number on the form and had me listed as a volunteer contractor. I asked her by email if I could be reimbursed and she said that the school district doesn't do reimbursements. Well they should when they were the one who screwed up! How in the hell would I had known I had the wrong form? I see why they have such a low rating.

They try their hardest to align your work schedule with their hours and make it so easy for a parent to work and have for their children and a lot of providers. Ms. Shannon and her staff are incredibly professional, courteous, and loving. They end up becoming a part of your family. Ms. Shannon and staff treat the children like they are their own, and take great pride in celebrating their small victories as they learn and grow. The enrollment process is a bit different than other schools. Ms. Shannon takes safety very seriously, and will only offer you a tour of the facility after meeting with her offsite and connecting with her. My wife and I were blown away by this, and truly appreciated it. I honestly do believe our son is more advanced as a result of attending GiGi Bears as opposed to another daycare facility. The quality of learning truly is second to none. The only downside is her limited space! I have to give major props to Ms. Monique & Ms. Sharon for their dedication, support & professionalism. ALL of the tutors are wonderful, but these two stand out because my kids have been tutored mostly by them. Ms. Sharon has given my children pep talks that I'm most certainly grateful for. I'm a single parent, so, it literally takes a village. I'm so grateful for these two ladies. My children's math skills have improved & they look forward to their bi-weekly sessions. I've observed from the window & they're very kind, patient and helpful with all their students. They're also very mindful about covid safe practices, which I truly appreciate! I've been very pleased with the seriousness that they take when it comes to maintaining everyone safe & healthy. I recently had to step in and defend one of the tutors because a parent was berating her. He was not understanding what was being explained to him, he became very irate and stubborn (this discussion was held outside and away from the students) I happened to witness this conversation & had to step in to reiterate that if he felt the services being provided weren't to his liking or even standards, the simplest solution was to discontinue his kids attendance & services. He wrote an email discussing his dislike for the tutors, and the way they taught because "his" tutoring his child was better, but was continuing to bring the kid & felt the need to continue to express his toxicity towards the staff & the situation. I witnessed the tutor attempt every angle to remain patient and express apologies for his discontent with the center, and staff. She was very empathetic and did her best to deescalate a very unhappy parent that was very persistent about his dissatisfaction with the tutors vs his tutoring. I felt the need to again, just express my appreciation and encouragement for her and the entire staff who do their very best to help the kids learn, teach and encourage. To the staff: Please don't feel discouraged because, for every ungrateful and unsatisfied parent, there's at least 10 more rooting for you all. I'm one of those! Big kudos to you all for doing the job I can't do. I'm one very satisfied parent. My only gripe is the parking lot and its reckless drivers, but that has nothing to do with you all. However, I also commend the tutors for walking out the students and taking them to their parent/guardian cars while putting themselves at risk in a not-so-well-lit-up parking lot with careless drivers & inconsiderate people, including those parents/guardians that don't get out of the car to meet their children after the dismissal. I'm one of those parents that are ready to retrieve my kids. Those tutors do enough for my kids.

The school want to keep a good reputation for school academic only. Trust me when I say that this is all they are worried about. There are a few great teachers though. There is no parking, you have to fend for yourself to try and pick your child without getting a ticket everyday. A parents and child crossing the street were struck by a another parent driving fast. Staff arguing outside about parents not parking in the right place, when the isn't parking for parents at all. It's a disaster.

First, when I met with the principal she let me know there was a "waiting list" then later speaking with the secretary she said there was no one on the wait list they just say that. During our visit my son was taken back to a room for an assessment where I wasn't present. I sat in the office area. During the assessment, the teacher asked my son questions like "do you get in trouble at school" and "do you talk a lot in class" and things around his behavior. When prior, during the tour, I was asking the principal questions around safety and what that looked like. I even shared certain challenges like talking in class. The following day, the principal called me to let me know that my son could do a "trial" with the school and see how he does in a month. This, I've never heard of and how is that even possible! It sounded like they were being selective and wanted to see how he would behave before fully accepting him into the school. Just by this, I decided this school wasn't the best fit for him. This school lacks diversity, acceptance of all people and judge. The 2 stars are for adding a park that the school didn't have, kudos for the secretaries kindness and her transparency that the principal hid. My son is thriving at his current school and an A/B student.
