My youngest son started with Nana BJ when he was just one year old, and I immediately knew he was in the best hands. Not long after, my oldest son joined as well and stayed until he transitioned to preschool. Most recently, our youngest was promoted too and every step of the way, Nana BJ made it feel like a family celebration. Her home became like our home. From the very beginning, she welcomed not just my children, but me as a mother too. She created a space where my kids could grow, learn, and thrive. She reassured me so I could feel at peace knowing they were safe, nurtured, and loved. Nana BJ pours her heart into every child she cares for. She has a beautiful balance of structure and tenderness, and her passion for early childhood development is unmatched. Whether it was learning activities, playtime, or daily routines, my children were constantly growing socially, emotionally, and academically. Even now, Nana BJ continues to check in on them because that's just who she is. She became family, and that's something we'll always treasure. If you're looking for a place where your child will be truly seen, loved, and uplifted, BJ and The Bears is it. Bless her heart for all she does. We love you, Nana BJ!

Our daughter Kaia started with Samantha as a little toddler, and from day one, we knew we found something special. The amount of care, intention, and heart she pours into the kids is rare. The home-cooked meals alone are incredible (meals I wish someone cooked for me), but it is so much more than that. There is structure, fun, learning, outdoor time, music, a jumpee, arts and crafts, everything a child needs to grow, explore, and feel safe. When we first started, there was a mutual trial period and we were a little weirded out by it, but now we totally get it, Samantha makes sure it's a great fit for her as well as for you, as a parent. The result is a group of very well adjusted kids, parents who care and are invested in their kid's development, and a group of kids that care for each other. Samantha communicates, sets clear expectations, and makes parents feel at ease. Even on days when drop-off was tough, Kaia ran into her arms like she was going to see family. That tells you everything. Our daughter has grown in ways we cannot even put into words, socially, emotionally, and developmentally. Samantha has been an essential part of our household and our lives. Leaving California means leaving Homegrown Daycare, and it is bittersweet. This place is unforgettable, and so is Samantha. If you are a parent searching for a daycare where your child will be loved, protected, and poured into, look no further. We are forever grateful for her and her own family. We hope they come visit us in Hawaii someday. Five stars is not enough for the level of care she gives. Samantha, Kaia and we will miss you so very much and thank you for guiding Kaia's growth love, kindness, and patience.

However, the village staff did an excellent job making sure mama bear was at ease with the new transition. After the first week at the village, I noticed my child was talking a lot more. A huge difference from the previous child care my child was attending that did not stimulate him at all. My child was talking more and interacting with others to the point I am upset I didn't find this place sooner. LEARNING: After the first month, my child learned all of his colors and was able to count to 20. I owe it all to the Village for making learning and playing fun. The Village has a classroom and huge play areas for children to explore. The Village prepares children for school by reading, counting, coloring, singing, and providing structure. PLAY/FUN- my child was always by the door and ready to leave his previous daycare provider. At the Village, has so much fun it's sometimes hard to get him to leave. The staff always has a fun day planned- from water day to Dr. Seuss Day. CLEANLINESS- this place is immaculate and very well organized. Common areas are always cleaned and sanitized. Any of my future children I would send to the Village. I was finally able to exhale and know my child was in good hands. Ms. Dee and the teachers truly love what they do.
