My child has been a victim of getting her hair cut since she started attending 7/2024! A blind eye has been turned and it's just "I'm crazy"! wrong when a child gets her hair combed daily, and bath to find a tub full of cut hair. make it make sense. I hope that person get their karma. Facility if filthy, I've offers to come in a weekend to clean never for a reply! Kids are always sick. Nose are constantly running. Lots of accidents between kids Iike staff sit around talking. Honestly this center is awful, It used to be so fun and full of life, My niece loved her teachers. The new Director Nikita is extremely rude, too nonchalant, and very passive aggressive whenever I talk to her and also is never at the center, It's like she purposely avoids parents! My niece sufffered a bite mark to the FACE. There were only two teachers and about 30 children in one classroom. I asked her teachers while they were kind, The director was not and immediately shifted the blame to the staff. A real director doesn't blame anyone, just fix the issue. I never had this problem with Ms Justice. There has to be a change I talk to parents everyday and we all came to the same conclusion about Nikita, she is not fit to be a director especially with her nasty behavior towards children and the people who work with her. They also have PARENTS in ratio due to the understaffing. Like it's ridiculous imagine dropping your child off to daycare and the parents of the damn students are taking care of the same damn kids they dropped off! What are we paying for? All of the teachers we were familiar with have left as well and I can understand why. Kindercare, Fix this! read more

My daughter Emilia was in KinderCare part time every other week. 1st of all, the fact that Rose was able to accommodate my family for our needs around scheduling was just awesome. Outside of that, my daughter really really enjoyed her time at KC. They were welcoming and friendly and made it known that they cared about my daughter and the other kiddos they had. Ms. Mary went above and beyond for special art projects and creative ways to keep my daughter engaged. Ms. Liz welcoming her at the door every morning made my daughter comfortable enough to come in and feel welcome. The app was great to see pictures of what the kids were doing throughout the day and her food, naps, and nap time. A few things they could really improve on: Communication! There were a few times I had reached out regarding a billing issue and it always took a few days to get resolved. Also there was a miscommunication about my daughter's diaper bag not being brought into the daycare one time and them having no proper supplies for her, but her diaper bag was there the entire time and I had to call to make sure they were aware it was dropped off. For general questions I would email and not receive communication back or it would take days or even a phone call at certain points. Also- the app. It works great but sometimes the updates were slow. Also, expect to get the daily report hours after pick up. It's great to get the final report, but I wish it was sooner to see the nap time window and what they ate so the evening routine can be adjusted around what happened in the day. With all this being said, our first experience in daycare was a positive one. They helped myself and my husband feel comfortable dropping our daughter off and always did their best to accommodate our every need. We will miss KinderCare and would likely be staying in the program if we weren't relocating. Rose, Mary, Liz, and every other teacher my daughter interacted with- thank you for your work with her and making it such a great experience for us. Your work is not unnoticed! read more

Vallejo KinderCare - Child Care & Day Care Near Me - Vallejo, California

I really wanted to love this place for our boy. He's 8 months. It wasn't a good fit for us. I feel for the staff, as you can clearly tell they are over-worked & unhappy about their jobs. It's hard to trust the most important thing to you to the care of someone/people whom aren't happy with their jobs--it leaves a lot of room for the unimaginable & unforgivable to happen due to lack of passion. I know they're trying to make it work here & I pray they get all the help they need & support from the city to make this place, what it can be. There's so much potential for exponential growth, both for staff & most importantly the little ones with the right systems & support. Thank you to everyone that did help look after my boy for the, one day, he did stay. read more

My son has been with KinderCare Vallejo for almost three years now, and I have to say that it was one of the best decisions that I made for his life. The staff is very welcoming. They pay attention to what the parents needs and wants are for their children on top teaching them the fundamentals And making it fun and exciting so that the kids would feel welcomed and eager to learn. I wish my son could stay there throughout all his school years but unfortunately they got grow up but while they're young I would choose KinderCare they are more than just a school they are family. read more

Rose and employee decided it was a good idea to scam a person out of $400 this holiday. Thief's should not work around children. We have proof as well need be. Edit: regardless of what her friends are on here posting on my review, will NOT CHANGE. You got caught stealing 400 via PayPal friends and family, never shipped the item and blocked the girl after she asked you countless times for shipping info and numerous attempts to contact you. You blocked her after she asked for a refund. read more

KinderCare is Family now! Words cant express what the staff means to me. my girls have attended pre k here since early 2017. I have a 5 year old and almost 3 year old that attend this location. it brings tears to my eyes knowing these are the last few months they will be here. The staff is attentive and care about the kids. They do really fun projects daily. My 5 year old was in the phonics program the First 2 years and recognizes the whole alphabet can spell her name and several different words and many other things, the progress is amazing to see. Mrs. Liz is the head of those programs and does an amazing job. my daughter is now in there math program and loves it. I'm going to put my youngest in the phonics this week. my family and I are relocating that is the only reason we will no longer be at KinderCare. I know leaving will be hard on my girls as well. my 3 year old has been here since she was 6 months. my 5 year old is moving into kindergarten and is excited to learn and a lot of that is due to the care she received from her teachers here at KinderCare. Thanks to all the loving caring and committed teachers here! We will miss you! read more

My kids have been here for about 2 years and every time I pick them up I'm so happy I chose KinderCare. All of the teachers are awesome, and the director Lacy and assistant director Tiffany are both amazing. They all treat my kids like their own, they send pictures when the kids are doing something fun, they stay on top of things when kids get sick so it doesn't spread, They have spirit Friday's every Friday, the kids are always learning, and my favorite is the learning adventures. My son is currently in their Spanish class and could count to 10 in Spanish at 3 years old. The staff here have made me feel comfortable leaving my babies there since day one and even though it is a daycare center, they still feel like family. read more

My daughter has had a great experience here, the staff is great, it's more of a family feel! During this pandemic they have been so wonderful, great with updates and safety of the children and staff! My daughter learns so much, they eat very healthy, they make cute gifts for parents on holidays! Love this facility! Highly recommend! read more

My son was a student here for about 2 years. Everything was great he loved his teachers Ms. Sandy and Ms. Kimberly. I had other arrangements and took him out of day care toward the beginning of May 2023. I had been in contact with Ms. Justice she had promised me that my son would be able to graduate with his class, she told me to save 2 dates 6/2 or 6/13 which I did. I never heard back from her. I then call the school. I can not recall who answered but I asked to speak to Ms. Justice she did not take my call not even to offer an apology. Who answered the phone told me that the graduation had passed already and they forgot to include my son. About 2 week ago I contacted KinderCare Vallejo again and I asked if I can take my son in again until he starts kindergarten. Again Ms. Justice has not taken the time to return my call or any of my messages. Very disappointed. read more

None of the staff who are mentioned in previous reviews work there now. I had intended to enroll my granddaughter there but was disappointed right from the start. The teachers are stony faced and go about business as though they were working in retail. The new Director appears to be out of her depth despite her claim that she is qualified for the job. I wouldn't enroll my dog at Vallejo Kindercare. All that aside, I am also a former part time pre k teacher at Vallejo Kindercare. I applied as a part time Substitute Teacher but was quickly hired in the role of Lead Teacher in the 3 year old room. None of this was with my agreement, I simply got an impersonal email stating that I was hired and that my start date was September 27th. Fine. All good. I had stressed to the Director that I would only be available from 8:30-2:30 Tuesday-Thursday, nothing more, ever! For 2 weeks I was so happy there ( except for having to listen to one horrible teacher literally SCREAM at children). But my wishes were NOT respected by week 3. Suddenly the Director Donje Fields, who never listens, told me that I'd AGREED to start full time after 2 weeks. I disagreed but it was no use. She got snarky and very rude and I felt betrayed, not to mention furious. I'm 67 years old and have been in the ECE field for decades, yet here was this upstart trying to fast talk me into her ratio problem. The following day I showed up and was assigned to the room of the Screaming Witch, who ignored me for 3 whole hours. I felt humiliated. Finally I was shoved into MY classroom, where at least 15 three year olds and One teacher, who was sitting at a table ignoring the kids and me so she could finish some paperwork, and I just started to hyperventilate. Frankly I thought I might be having a cardiac event---- the room was so out of control, then 12 MORE children were funneled into the room so I had to get out of there before I became seriously ill. I left right then and couldn't possibly return, EVER!!!! But that's just a sad story...Ive recovered for the most part. That was on OCTOBER 11th, and I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN PAID. Donje Fields has not only put me off repeatedly (one excuse after another), and I'm not only in dire need of my wages, but fully aware that any employee is by law due their earnings within 72 hours. I phone her daily, often told that she's "Unavailable". Our conversations have become tense and ugly, her excuses are that "she's still waiting to hear from blah blah blah". My toddler has been going to KinderCare for a year now (since she was a year old). Prior to that we tried a nanny, and an in-home daycare and they weren't the right fit. KinderCare is so much more structured and engaging for the kiddos and I've been really happy. My daughter loves going, and really loves her teachers- especially Ms. Mary. I love the photos they post all over the room of the kids doing projects, and the daily summary sheet is handy to see what they did/ate/how long they napped/ diaper changes/etc. She's learned a lot, so much more than we would have been able to teach her, and she seems genuinely happy to be there, so that's a good feeling. read more

Such an awesome place . I'm very happy my daughter comes here. Tiffany and Rose are always find ways to keep the parents happy and up to date on everything that goes on at the school. I love how happy my daughter is at the end of every school day. read more

Overall I have enjoyed my time with Kindercare. My son has been coming here for two years and has grown so much within that time. I signed my daughter up for Kindercare about a year ago. I chose Kindercare Vallejo because they are open 6:30am to 6:30pm, and I didn't want an in-home daycare. Through out the year she's grown to love her teachers and Kindercare Vallejo has become her second home. These ladies are amazing. I didn't have too many academic expectations as she was only one when I signed up- BOY WAS I WRONG. My daughter's life skills are growing- from knowing when she should wash her hands to her motor skills. She even sings songs from school around the house. My daughter has just moved to the 2 year old preschool class and I am so excited to see what's in store for her. Also- a great plus is the additional programs they offer such as soccer, music and phonics all done during the time your child's in Kindercare. One of my favorite parts of Kindercare is the daily report you get at the end of the day- you know when they changed your child's diaper (even if he/she has runny poo!), what they ate, their favorite activity for the day, etc. There may be cheaper options, but I trust the ladies and their abilities to teach. Thank you all for what you do! read more

Vallejo KinderCare - Child Care & Day Care Near Me - Vallejo, California

I liked how at first I would get updates and pictures of my child, but ever since their iPads were stolen, they only give a few updates. I think the staff has changed completely. Ms. Kim and Ms. Joni are the only qualified caretakers at this daycare. The staff are not nice, they are unapproachable, always look like they are in a bad mood. Very unprofessional! They do not engage parents when doing drop offs or pick ups. This daycare is nothing like mentioned in the reviews on yelp or google, I believe the old reviews were about another group of staff and director. Kids are left to just play on the play structure while staff is on their phones and talking amongst each other. Children walk around with boogers and they have had several sickness out breaks including COVID, FLU, RSV, and Colds. The price has increased even though staff has gone down hill. I have moved my child from KinderCare to another facility. Hope this helps anyone deciding to go here, as I feel the way this daycare is being handled they will be getting more complaints to the board and hopefully they can implement the changes before a possible lawsuit happens for negligence of children. read more

My son started kindercare at 3months when I had to go back to work. My biggest concern was having strangers watch him, diaper changes, being fed, how they would handle him being fussy, and would he be loved. So far all of those needs have been met and we have been very impressed. The staff genuinely love every kid that walks through their doors. They appreciate communication. Any issues I have had I bring up with the staff and they are quick to address it. They want to know what you expect/need for your child because every parent is different. We picked kindercare because I wanted my son to go somewhere that has professional staff, accredited, and close to my job. This is our first child so we are new to daycare - my husband and I are very happy with kindercare and would recommend the infant program. read more

when my daughter was 1 years old she used 2 come home with strap marks on nosy like they was forcing her 2 sit down and stay seated. I was told by 1 staff member that she caught another kid (older) dragging my 1 yeat old by the shirt while she (staff) was changing another kid diaper. my baby always had stretched collars and mind you my kid is sweet innocent child and they had the nerve to kick my daughter out of school because she got caught hitting another kid although they won't admit they barely watch the kids, the type of behavior my child was showing at the school is what she learned from the kids at the school!!!! not a good school unless your kid can speak up for themselves and communicate!! another thing at that time she was in diapers and I would count how many I sent with her and they would only charge her a few times out the day and send the rest of the count back! if I could give 0 stars I would and that exact reason is why I called the state on this particular school and then they decide to get rid of the staff and hire new staff... thumps down twice for this exact kindercare read more

My daughter has been going here since she was barely walking....Ms. Tiffany, Tracy, Marlo and Ms. Joni have been so wonderful and my daughter loves them. Would've loved if they made Tiffany the director, parents love her just as much as the kids. Since the change in staff, it's not as great as it use to be. I'm not a fan of the new unprofessional director and is currently looking for more of a curriculum based and inviting staff daycare for my daughter! I believe our time here at Kindercare is over. read more

I cant describe how happy I have been with them! I did not want to send my daughter to a day care and was super nervous they send me updates, photos and are very detailed on their app and update in real time. The staff has been super sweet and I couldn't ask for a better place. I am so glad I decided to place her in this care. read more

Take your child somewhere else! This facility is unprofessional, unorganized and very unwelcoming. My child was sick the whole time she was at this daycare, she always had a green runny nose. When I inquired about this situation the director at the time said it was common for her to get sick since the environment was new to her. All the children were sick in her class so how do you explain that? Someone is obviously not cleaning the toys and equipment. I've moved her to another school and she has not been sick not one single time. The director switched many time and they get behind on their paperwork/ billing and hit you with outrageous bills that's months of daycare fees stacked up. My older child was picked up from school and I was told that they would help with homework which was a lie. Just avoid. read more

LOVE everything about this place. I could not ask for more from a childcare. Everyone there is beyond friendly and I never have to worry about my children. I know that my kids are well cared for and they love all their teachers. It's so important to have good childcare especially when you consider the fact that your children spend more awake hours in childcare than they do at home(assuming you work full time). I would recommend this place a thousand times over again! read more

I am very new to childcare let alone anyone aside from family watching my daughter and Vallejo KinderCare has definitely taken my daughter in like family. They are excellent. We are in our 3rd week at Vallejo KinderCare and I couldn't be happier with the care they provide for my daughter. This center is amazing! The teachers are all so welcoming and truly involved in the day to day care and education of all of the kiddos. My son has gone to a couple of KinderCares and we have hands down had the best experience here. Ms. Sandy was so amazing with my son. He loved every day that he was there. I can't possibly say enough great things about her. She showed me what having the right teacher can really do for a child. The management staff is always available and are great at their communication. Lacey, the director, goes above and beyond on a regular basis. If you are considering enrolling your child/ren here, you won't be disappointed. read more

My daughter has been at Kindercare, part-time, for about 6 months and for the most part, I've been pleased with the care she has received. This was a tough move for me as my mother had been her daycare provider previously, but I felt Nana needed a break. Reading the more recent reviews that discuss the negative change in management, I have to disagree and say that I'm happy with the change. Trying to get my daughter enrolled was difficult because clear communication didn't happen. The previous director was difficult to reach and I didn't care for the way she handled a few situations. Since the change, I've always been able to get in touch with Ms. Lacy when I need to and she is very helpful. I also like the changes/additions to the decor that Ms. Lacy and Ms. Tiffany had done. My daughter started with Ms. Joanie and we both absolutely loved her. She and Ms. Traci are both fantastic. This summer she moved into Ms. Loretta's class and has continued to grow in her social and cognitive skills. I appreciate the variety and breadth of projects they make in class. read more

I have had two children attend Vallejo KinderCare both starting at 4 months old. I have not had any complaints about the services that we have received. While the center has had some leadership changes throughout the years, they have retained a number of wonderful teachers that really love and care about children. Ms. Lacey is a great director and is continually moving the center in a positive direction. Ms. Tiffany, Ms. Marlo, Ms. Arlene, Ms. Tracey and a number of the other staff have been there for years and I am so happy and grateful for their service and dedication. Because of their level of knowledge and experience, I actually feel comfortable with leaving my precious babies under their care. I know that families have a lot of choices when it comes to childcare, but for the Vallejo area, it's KinderCare for me! The hours, location and staff are professional, friendly and reliable. read more

This is an awful place. They don't care about your children, all they care about is their profit. They cut cost in all the wrong places... never enough staff. My son was attacked by another 2 1/2 yr old boy, he was bitten in the face 3 times, all broke skin, twice in his fingers, and numerous cuts from him struggling to get away from this boy in the playground. I asked the teachers how this could have happened, what was there excuse??? They said my son didn't cry nor screamed for them to hear. If I could only post the horrific pictures of what my son looked like after this event. There is no one in this world could have gone thru the things my son went thru without screaming. I am posting this because I don't want another parent going thru the pain we went thru. read more

I was extremely nervous about putting my son in daycare as he spent his first year home with me. I was familiar with KinderCare as I previously worked at a different location. I'm so happy I made the decision to let him come here. The staff have helped put my worries at ease. My son gets so much love and care from his teachers. He is also progressing very nicely. My son attends this school. But first opening I find, he's OUT !!!! They don't have a teacher assigned to one class, instead they all switch off daily. Which makes it hard for the children to get comfortable w the teacher. They over changed me for 5 months! I sent my child to school on picture day and asked if they can put his shirt on when picture time came. When I picked up my kid I asked if they'd changed his shirt they said yes. I got his pictures and they had not changed his shirt!! They had a Halloween parade and told m,e they would put all the kids costumes on at 10AM, When I picked up my kids and saw photos of the parade, my child was the only child without a costume on!!! Pissed me off !!!! They directors are very rude when it comes to handling payment business. Some of their teachers send children home with nasty noses and dirty diapers. I would not recommend this place. When it comes to taking care of children, I look for someone who's gifted and love children. To the people at this kinder care site it's JUST A JOB! read more

My daughter and I are new to Vallejo. Just moving from Berkeley Hills. I have had a positive experience with KinderCare Vallejo. My daughter is in the Toddler Class for 1 year olds, and I fell in love with the classroom and overall KinderCare Facility on the tour I was given by Ms. Tiffany. My daughter has only been going for a month now and has learned so much. She was previously in a home daycare setting, with a family friend, but we had to leave due to us moving to Vallejo. She is able to feed herself and is now drinking from a sippie cup with ease. My daughter's asthma has even is much better since she has been enrolled. My daughter is in a clean safe environment and I am at ease that she is learning in a classroom setting verses a home daycare. Ms. Shannon the site director is great too. I had to take a test and she allowed me to switch my time and days to accommodate me. Here is the best part! This school is in the process of being accredited! How many parents can say that their toddler is in an accredited facility??? Overall a great staff! We can't be happier. read more
