I was in an accident that limited my mobility, and so many parents held open doors, offered to carry things, and expressed words of motivation and support. Several even helped me push my son's stroller into the school, which nearly brought me to tears. The teachers, especially Miss Kayla and Miss Fatima have been so supportive and stepped in to help with our son while supporting him through the various transitions in this healing process. Miss Adriane has also been so kind checking in each morning with her thoughtful smile and encouraging words. We have been a part of this community since our son was 5 months old and we are grateful for all he has learned and grown. The team has worked with us through several parenting challenges and we are so thankful for their knowledge, care and concern.

When we first started, there was a mutual trial period and we were a little weirded out by it, but now we totally get it, Samantha makes sure it's a great fit for her as well as for you, as a parent. The result is a group of very well adjusted kids, parents who care and are invested in their kid's development, and a group of kids that care for each other. Samantha communicates, sets clear expectations, and makes parents feel at ease. Even on days when drop-off was tough, Kaia ran into her arms like she was going to see family. That tells you everything. Our daughter has grown in ways we cannot even put into words, socially, emotionally, and developmentally. Samantha has been an essential part of our household and our lives. Leaving California means leaving Homegrown Daycare, and it is bittersweet. This place is unforgettable, and so is Samantha. Their online booking experience was easy and I found their rates more reasonable than the other nanny agency our hotel recommended. (I reached out to both and quickly compared all-in pricing.) The babysitter we were assigned, Rima, arrived on time and kept us updated on how things were going. She brought games and activities for my 7 year old daughter based on her interests, which I appreciated. The only thing that was a bit challenging is that we had to communicate with our babysitter via the Telegram app, which was new and different for me. I would have preferred WhatsApp or simple texting instead. Overall, I was happy with Grapevine and would recommend them to anyone looking for at-hotel childcare while in wine country with their children.

We corresponded with owner Maggie via their form, then via phone, with followup by email. After my wife talked to Maggie and explained our situation, Maggie sent over a few choices, and we chose Van. Van followed up with questions about our routines, favorite things, etc. Everything indicated that their priorities were on the right track. We were staying at the River Terrace Inn and Van met us there on schedule. We met her, with our daughter (2 yrs old), in the lobby, and after being offered a toy, our daughter started to warm up to Van. We went back to our room and Van proceeded to unload all the toys she brought, and soon, she and our daughter were best pals. Van was great, proactively engaging, talking to her, getting her to play. By the time we left, our daughter barely acknowledged that we were leaving. While we were gone, Van updated us via text and photo. She fed our daughter, who ate quite a lot, which is a telling sign that she feels comfortable with her caregiver, and even more surprising, she went to sleep on schedule -- probably because all that playing with Van tired her out. We are very pleased and are happy that we can plan a future Napa overnight trip, with a fancy dinner.

Tiffany couldn't be bothered to speak with me about my concerns because I'm not a parent, but I am the baby aunt, and I'm on the pick-up list/emergency contact list.
