Kudos & thanks to Armani Johnson of FEDEX's customer service in Lorton. If a nobel prize were given for customer service, she earned it. Courier did not deliver 3 packages properly at different times & one was lost. Dreaded the thought of having to deal with Customer Service. I was soooo wrong. She stepped in right away & took over: contacted driver's supervisor, spoke with driver to advise proper delivery mode. When another incident occurred, she again took over to see that problem did not recur again. She was always in touch with me via email & explained situation at length. I was grateful & relieved to deal with such a competent professional who quickly understood the problem & was really "on my side." FEDEX is fortunate to have this exceptional employee. read more

I've found this FedEx location in particular to be very helpful - I've even gotten follow up phone calls to ensure my package was delivered appropriately. Not from a call center, not a text confirmation (although I do get those in addition), but a phone call from a real person at this actual location. I never expect that sort of proactive service from FedEx, but regardless, it's appreciated. Just remember: it's very easy to jump on Yelp and write a 1 star review when things go poorly with a service company, but when it goes positively (or just normally) our first thought isn't usually "I should write a review about this company". This on the service rather than a specific location. FedEx might as well be two separate companies. The overnight service is prompt, leaves package is correct location and has professional employees. The ground service is a disaster. They claim to have attempted delivery, scheduled delivery times are a joke. Employees are unprofessional. read more

The lady at this front desk I never met more disrespectful person in my life on any of this type of business I hope I don't have to ever come to FedEx in this location because she yelled to every single person in the office and told them to hurry up even people older then 80year she had no respect, I hope this company check on their employees because is unacceptable. read more

Update to previous 1-star review! Today, Gloria was outstanding contacting my driver to get my package delivered after a delivery mix-up by the driver. Eisenhower Ave Alexandria FedEx gave me outstanding service and I praise Gloria and the driver for doing what was needed to fix the problem after just one (1) phone call to the ship center. Some of my packages were never delivered although I received notification that they have been. I'm not sure what happened but the service is unreliable and there is no opportunity for my neighbors are stealing my packages. I always have to go back to Walmart after 3 days, request a refund and reorder the items. Fedex has no tracking system for their packages; Its either out for delivery or delivered. I'm afraid to order items for Christmas because they may not be delivered. read more

Horrible . Every single delivery is several days late, then lost, then I have to drive to the warehouse to ask them to find it. They lie about "attempted delivery" because no one knocked abd I was there every single time. Even office employees said the delivery guy would acknowledge that he lied and just left the package at warehouse abd never deliver it. I have to drive 40 min each way to go find out what's going on abd pick up my packages days late every single time. They are the worst. Nothing ever changes. this sob driver always delivers my parcels to the wrong address and yet no one ever follows up when i report this which takes an hour of my day and he remains employed during a time when many competent drivers are in need of work. it is outrageous that this is allowed to continue and nothing is ever done. these aholes are allowed to drive and deliver parcels yacking it up on their cell phones then they do not pay attention at all to what theyre doing. ive had it. this guy is a true sob and fedex is the worst carrier imaginable. my sh*t sits on the truck for days before it even arrives sometimes. use ups. read more

Here's a screen shot of my complaint to FED EX: (really this package is coming out of the Beltsville, Maryland office) WHY IS THERE A DELIVERY EXCEPTION SAYING THAT I REQUESTED A FUTURE DELIVERY DATE??????? I TOLD THE FED EX REP THAT I NEEDED IT REALLY BADLY TODAY !!! My package was addressed to the Post Office's STREET ADDRESS My Post Office accepts Fed Ex packages, but EVERY time one comes through the Post Office to me, it ends up being a HUGE HASSLE. Usually, the Fed Ex truck shows up after the Post Office has closed. My package was out for delivery today. The Post Office closes at 5:00. So, at 4:45, I called Fed Ex to inquire whether the package could be re-routed to my home which is nearby. (It was obvious that they weren't going to make it to the Post Office before closing). The package contains tools that I needed for a job this weekend. When I called Fed Ex customer service at 4:45, I spoke to a customer service rep that had a VERY strong Spanish accent & was a bit difficult to understand. He told me that only the shipper could have the package sent to another address. I said the shipper is more difficult than Fed Ex. I said that wouldn't be possible, and that I'd wait until they FINALLY got the package to the place it's addressed to . I NEVER REQUESTED A DELAYED DELIVERY !!!!!!! Thanks for keeping a perfect record of screwing up EVERY package that's been sent to this address. It seems to me that if you have this deal with the Post Office to accept your packages, you should RECOGNIZE THE ADDRESS and ADJUST YOUR DELIVERY SCHEDULE TO COMPLETE THE PROMISED TASK. EVERY TIME. EVERY PACKAGE. PROBLEMS. I especially like the amount of hoops one has to jump through to make a complaint. I'm not a racist, but, really, can you please have someone who speaks clear English at your complaint center. It almost seems like you WANT to make us even more upset with you. This review is being written as a heads up regarding unethical behavior by Fed Ex employees, and FedEx's unwillingness to help. On Friday, 15 August 2014, my mobile phone was probably stolen by a FedEx delivery guy. It appears that when I left my phone untended on my front porch (for less than 3 minutes), the FedEx delivery driver couldn't resist the opportunity to take it. Although I left my phone untended on my front porch for a brief moment, this theft is totally unacceptable. Worse, the attitude of the FedEx hub manager was horrible and completely unacceptable. He was very unwilling to help and immediately assumed a defensive position regarding the incident, although I made it very clear that perhaps the driver "accidentally" picked up my phone from the porch, thinking he had dropped his. I even offered a $100 incentive for the driver to return my phone if he discovered he had "accidentally" picked mine up. Based on his overall negative attitude, I don't think the FedEx hub manager even spoke to the driver, although he claims that he spoke with the drive three separate times and the drive belligerently denied knowing anything about my phone. Like most of us, the phone itself isn't the issue - it's all the lost personal data that concerns me and the extraordinarily bad attitude and lace of concern for the customer by the hub manager. I'm extremely disappointed at the overall attitude of the hub manager, and personally don't plan to use FedEx in the future. If they can't be trusted to even TRY and assist customers with a real concern, then I'll give my business to another company that appreciates the customer and knows how to provide empathetic, concerned customer service. I hope this rating is useful to others regarding the need to be ever vigilant with the personal property outside your residence - you never know when a dishonest FedEx employee may decide to help themselves, and you'll be frustrated and saddened by the unwillingness of the FedEx hub manager to assist you in recovering your property. read more
