Please do not go there as the food is terrible and the customer service is simply non existence. The burger was absolutely horrible.

This place was as typical as a hotel restaurant could get!! Classy, good service, and dishes with…read morehigh quality ingredients. But it is lacking in atmosphere, something that I think is never possible to have in a hotel dining establishment. The bar is truly stunningly designed, and had a pretty big crowd on a Saturday evening, although I suspect most of the patrons were guests at the hotel and not locals. It is somewhat of a trek to get to this place from anywhere, but if one is looking for a quiet quality dinner or a relaxing drink, this is the place. I had the roast cod for dinner, and my girlfriend had the fish pie. The were both really good; the cod was well cooked and was quite a generous portion, but the sauce tasted like Bovril/Marmite which kinda ruined the taste. However, after the first taste it was better. I suspect that the chef used some kind of salty sauce, sort of a westernized miso paste, but miso would have been a much better, and safer, choice. My partner's fish pie was better than the cod, and if I ever go back I would probably order that. It comes in a nice ceramic pot, and was full of flavour and fish. The only downside was that it was so small. it looked more like a side dish than a main course, and I'm sure I could have finished two or three of them!! I'm not quite decided if I will go back again. Certainly not worth traveling very far for. But they do serve good quality seafood. Price wise its cheaper than seafood restaurants downtown, but still quite pricey.

The food was really good. Nice portions and seemed fresh. The only issue I had was SLOW service…read more Restaurant was not busy at all, but it still took forever to get my food.

So, this was quite an adventure! I had organised a dinner…read moreand a movie Valentines day date with 18 friends to see Deadpool. As this year V-Day happened to fall on a Sunday, I was struggling to bookna large table, despite starting to call around a full month before the event. I called almost every restaurant in the O2 and received a shower of nopes. Finally, the man I talked to on the phone at the Harvester said it wouldn't be a problem, so I booked the table for 6pm. The Wednesday before our planned outing I called them again to confirm the table. The man I spoke to seemed rushed, but he confirmed my booking, so I figured all was good to go. However, when I arrived on Sunday, a little early to get organised before everyone showed up, they had no record of a large booking. The restaurant was incredibly busy and there was a long queue outside... Great! I spoke to the manager and she looked through their booking system to see if it was put on the wrong day, but couldn't find anything either. She took down the details of when I made my calls so she could inquire with her staff and asked us to wait a little so she could make enough room for our large group. Despite it being one of their busiest day, she made it happen! Within fifteen minutes we had a large table for those of us who had shown up early, ten minutes after that we had further tables nearby to accommodate the rest of our group. I was very impressed with how well the manager handled the situation, so extra stars for that! The food was unremarkable but enjoyable, regular pub-style fare. Unfortunately they were out of a few items, but seeing as it was Sunday evening on a super busy weekend, I can't fault them for that. All in all we were quite content with our meal here.

Do not come here if you are vegetarian…read more Went here for a Christmas meal with friends and ordered the vegetarian option of batterered halloumi. When it arrived it looked suspiciously similar to the cod batter so I asked if it was cooked in the same fryer (being allergic to fish I didn't want to take the risk), and found out from a very annoyed manager that all the chips and fried foods EVEN VEGETARIAN are cooked with the fish! The disgruntled manager took back the food and had the chef cook everything in the "gluten free" fryer which apparently didn't have fish in it. After leaving the restaurant pissed at the way I was treated, I was also sick because clearly this magical gluten free fryer isn't so fish free after all. This is therefor making the "vegetarian" options invalid and almost causing people with fish allergies to have a reaction. Apparently all the harvesters are the same according to the manager, so they lie to their customers about the food (is that legal?!), and they definitely aren't happy when you call them out on it.

The wine served went quite well with the squid but secretly, I much preferred the Pol Roger. smoked trout salad with Volubilia 2013, Morocco (Mourvedre, Tempranillo, Vin Gris) rose - The wine was smoky and complimented the saltiness of the olives very well. suckling pig, piquillo with Couvent des Jacobins 2005, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru (Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot) - the suckling pig was beautifully seasoned and cooked and I wished it had a little more on the plate to really appreciate the chef's cooking. cod confit romesco sauce paired with Dido 2013 Montsant (Macabeu, Grenache Blanc) - I was initially doubtful about the texture of the confit cod but this was beautifully done. longhorn onglet paired with Dido 2013 Montsant (Macabeu, grenache Blanc) - The meat served blue was perfect for me. I peered longingly over at my immediate diners hoping to see if there were any onglet untouched. Not such luck. These discerning diners knew their food! Unfortunately, I was not served more of this wine with this dish because either there was not enough to go round or I was supposed to save the minute drop for this dish. I would have liked to have tasted how the same white would have paired with this beautiful piece of meat. deconstructed Vinothec cheesecake paired with Rivesaltes 1971 (Grenache Rouge, Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc) - Deconstructed desserts often suggest more playful plates of food that encompass all the flavours of the classic dish. This dessert I'd say in my own words was cheese with crumble toppings. It was a beautifully fortified dessert wine and as for the cheesecake, I happily passed this on to the other diners who were longing for more. Lucky them and hope they don't think I am not discerning in their books.
