Absolutely delicious subs! Great bursts of flavor... there is just too many things to choose from!…read more You start out picking your meat for the sandwich. We got one bbq steak and chicken, and one steak and pastrami. They throw the meat right on the grill and cook it in front of you. They have such a variety of sauces and you can pick if you want it mixed in with the meat, on top of the sandwich, or on the side. You can also opt to do a 'bomb' sandwich (which we did for both of our subs). It adds green pepper, onion, bacon bits, and mushroom. It is a must!!!!!!!!! You can pick white or wheat sub. they sub rolls were so soft and fresh tasting. You can choose to have salt/pepper, cheese, oil/vinegar, mayo, lettuce and tomato. Definitely get some melted cheese on top, i would skip cold toppings if you're having a hot sandwich. Get some ranch on the side to dip! Every bite was phenomenal! the meat had so much flavor and paired great with the soft roll and melted cheese. I want to return for one of their puddings in the refrigerator (cookies and cream or banana) Keep in mind it can get a little salty with all the meats, cheese, and sauces. Get a big water with your meal. I found the service friendly and the tables were clean so you can sit inside and enjoy the food.

First time here and I will say it didn't disappoint. Great tasting sandwiches. Service was good too…read more- fast and friendly

This iconic fruit stand is a true South Florida institution. From the moment you pull in, it feels like stepping into a charming, old-school roadside market bursting with color and character. Crates overflow with vibrant tropical fruits, the air smells sweet and fresh, and the whole place has that nostalgic, family-run charm you just don't find everywhere anymore. The mamey milkshake is my go-to and hands down my favorite. It's unbelievably thick, creamy, and packed with rich tropical flavor. One sip and you'll understand why it's legendary. Beyond the milkshakes, they carry incredible local honey, homemade sauces, unique jams, fresh shallots, beautiful vegetables, and perfectly ripe fruits. The exotic fruit selection alone is worth the trip. you'll discover varieties you didn't even know existed. What makes it even more special is that Robert himself is often there, still working and interacting with customers. It adds such a personal touch. Everyone on staff is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. Don't skip the back area, there's a small petting zoo where you can buy feed and interact with the animals, which makes it a fun stop for families and kids. It's more than just a fruit stand . it's an experience. A must-visit South Florida classic.

Robberies Are Here is more like it…read more We stopped at Robert Is Here for what should have been a fun family experience. Instead, we left with a smashed rental car window, 1,500 dollars in stolen valuables, and a ruined vacation. Our car was broken into while parked directly in front of the property -- in plain sight. We weren't even there for 15 minutes. When we asked about security camera footage that might help identify who did this, we were told the cameras don't work. Let that sink in. A high-traffic tourist destination with non-functional security cameras and apparently zero deterrent for criminals who clearly know this area is an easy target. This isn't a random isolated incident -- this is a known problem and the owners have done nothing meaningful to protect their customers. Working cameras, security presence, adequate signage warning visitors of the risk -- none of it. Just a cute fruit stand with a dangerous parking lot and zero accountability. (To be fair, the employees seemed remorseful, and gave us some trash bags and tape to cover the window.) Save yourself. Buy your fruit somewhere else. No smoothie is worth what this visit cost us.

For less than $9 out-the-door you can get the best pork sandwich (AKA pan con lechon) in Miami. This pork sandwich is off-the-bone from freshly cooked garlic pork shoulder that is chopped up with chicharron mixed in, so that you get the crunch at almost every bite. They put about a pound of lechon (pork) into a footlong Cuban bread roll and press it. It's very special! They have other foods that you can consider. They have combos, known in Miami as a "Completa", that include rice, beans, plantains and the main meat dish. As you'll be able to see in my pictures, today they had Fricase de pollo (chicken fricassee) and carne con papa (beef stew). A combo plate of either one of those will weigh close to 5 lbs. No kidding. You can always take it home and leave some for later, or just split it with someone else. The seating inside, however, isn't great. There's a counter with high chairs behind the ordering station. I mostly see people taking it home or eating it in the car. There's also a good amount of people just devouring these sandwiches standing up around the parking lot. The inside is not really worth eating in. The service here is fast and attentive. The employees are very courteous and professional. They earn their tips!
