I do not recommend Brandon. He came to me when I was looking for piano tuner on Dec. 2025, I…read morehad already booked one with another technician for the next day which was Christmas Eve for $185 but then timing was not working out well and he said he could come that day at 5 p.m. I agreed to that time. When I asked his price, He did not give me a price over the phone. Instead, hearing my player piano play over the phone while we talked, he said, "It sounds like you might need a bigger service - that would be for $385." I didn't agree with that diagnosis but I allowed him to come for that price to get my tuning done .- knowing he was $200 over the average price. The only price he quoted to me was the $385 without mentioning any other service. He came , sat down and did his thing without any commentary about my piano. After two hours he was finished and I I gave him my card for payment. However, he appears to be frustrated that the card did not process quickly and he left with my understanding that a receipt. would come in shortly which didn't happen. When I got my credit card statement, I saw he had charged me $709. without giving me a receipt at the time - saying his phone was too slow at processing it and he left. I protested the charge with Citi but he fought it with a bogus invoice or receipt that had my name at the top that he sent as his document, But... it had never been presented to me. He had never given that information to me. or explained anything about my piano. He just did his thing and took my card for payment but never showed me a balance because he said he couldn't get it finalized. I never got an invoice or receipt. This copy from Citi was the first I had seen of his prices - he had only quoted oe price to me verbally and I accepted that as his only price to come oit. I never agreed to a bigger service but maybe he didn't want to undertand that. I did accept the amount of $385 as it was the only price he had given me for my service. That was my complaint and the issue of my case. He then made up a bogus document that looked ;ike a receipt with my name at the top showing his charges and sent it to Citi. - forms documentation but it never was sent to me. The was the complaint. I never authorized the" bigger service" and never wanted or requested anything but a simple tuning. and he never made any comments as I expected about my piano. when he just did his own thing at the piano, About a week after he left., it was noticed that the tuning was not in tune. I reported it to him and he said sometimes it can change. I then had another technician come out and check it and they confirmed that it was not in tune. IT WAS NOT IN TUNE. He returned for his flashlight he had forgotten and HE TESTED THE TUNING, and confirmed that it was off. HE DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY OR SUPPLIES TO FIX IT, SO.. I agreed TO GO WITH HIM AND PAID THE $40 for the supplies he needed to fix it. The issue is that he is unprofessional and untrustworthy. I wanted the amount of the overage he charge reversed. I also felt that he took advantage of me - an 80 year old woman - to upsell me on a service that I did not understand and he never tried to explain to me or demonstrate a need for. Yet he charged my card for three services - one that was never mentioned, which totaled $324.00 over and above the amount I had authorized to be charged. He was angry when I disputed the $324 extra charge and threatened me because of it .

TL;DR: Paid $1,450 for piano repairs, got ghosted for nearly two months, and only got my piano back…read moreafter involving the police. I'm writing this review to warn others about a deeply troubling experience with Brandon Lewis, owner of Perfect Pitch Piano. After years of routine piano tuning without issue, I hired Brandon in April 2025 to refurbish the keyboard action of our Boston Grand Piano. He quoted $1,450 for the job, took the keyboard to his workshop, and accepted a deposit. Brandon picked up the piano action on May 12, 2025, and promised to return it by May 16. What followed was a string of missed appointments, broken promises, and excuses ranging from medical issues to weather delays. Despite paying the full balance, the refurbished keyboard was never returned. Communication became sporadic and evasive, and attempts to resolve the issue were met with silence or further delays. After weeks of trying to recover the keyboard, I had no choice but to file a police report. In researching Brandon further, I discovered multiple prior reviews from other customers describing similar fraudulent behavior. I strongly recommend reviewing recent feedback from other clients on his Yelp page, where similar complaints--including one involving a Steinway piano action--suggest a troubling pattern, not an isolated incident. The detective assigned to the case attempted to contact Brandon multiple times using all the phone numbers on file, but received no response. It wasn't until the detective left a message stating that charges would be pressed and an arrest warrant issued that Brandon finally returned the call. After much back and forth, Brandon agreed to return the piano action. He claimed he had been hospitalized, that his phone was stolen, and that Apple took an extended time to restore his credentials--hence his lack of communication. Ultimately, Brandon returned the piano action on July 7, 2025--nearly two months after the original promised delivery date. Please do your due diligence and consider alternative providers. What began as a routine service turned into a time consuming and frustrating ordeal.

A Google search resulted in the company's website, which clearly states in-home services of piano tuning. The website looks professional, I can see the company is relatively close to my location, and I'm looking for someone who has comprehensive knowledge. I texted the number, stating I'd like to schedule a piano tuning, and gave my location. The reply I received was ... unexpected. While polite, the text said "...we don't offer in-home piano tuning at the moment." The end. I'm flabbergasted. I can see here on their Yelp profile that they are not highlighting piano tuning as a primary service, but the text left me with my mouth hanging open. Why aren't they tuning pianos in-home "at the moment?" I expect a professional to reply that they're not conducting in-home tunings right now due to other bookings for their tech (or another reason, even if a cover for the real reason), refer me to a tuner they esteem, and "please check back with us for your next piano service needs." This would earn a second chance from me and probably a referral, even without service. Now, I'm scratching my head wondering whether they've got their customer service together enough to be someone I want to hire for any piano service. I didn't bother asking any questions or ask for a referral. They did not seem interested in helping.
