One of my favourite meals of 2025 so far. The Featherblade steak was delicious. The chips in beef dripping were a standout. Such great value with three courses only €38. Great service and everything was perfectly timed. Need to come back ASAP!

Shrimp and Crab Brioche (€10) .. so good, soft, creamy, crisp, buttery and tasty

The atmosphere is nice, it's a long and narrow restaurant. The service is friendly and good. This is mainly a steak restaurant. The steaks are nice and affordable in my opinion. Steaks are good quality, cooked to perfection, there are three main cuts, rib eye, sirloin and skirt steak I think? The prices are around €16-24. The sides are great, usually around €4-6. Drinks are not so bad. And desserts and appetizers are nice. The only disappointment was the burger, the burgers are hyped and when I tried it, it was not bad, but not the best either as some said. I recommend it for a nice affordable steak.

Wow! Lesson learned. Listen to the locals when it comes to picking a restaurant. After reading about Featherblade it was one of our first stops in Dublin. Quality grass-fed Irish beef and local produce expertly made with a twist. Their signature dish is the featherblade steak which reminds me of flank steak in the US. The steak comes with a sauce and a small salad. I got chimichurri and my husband got bernaise. We also ordered harissa broccoli. Our appetizer was a crab tostada made with crab caught off the coast of Ireland. We also ordered a couple of cocktails. Everything was wonderful. I'd recommend it to anyone.

My friend and I had dinner at Featherblade on our first night in Dublin last week, and, while it wasn't a bad meal, I was a little underwhelmed. I had the ribeye, while my friend had the Picanha steak. We also shared the creamed spinach, truffle mac and cheese, and grilled broccoli with garlic, chili, and dukkah. We had some wine and a Basque cheesecake. The highlight of the meal was the Picanha steak, and the dessert was good. But we didn't love any of the sides. The space is cool - casual and yet a little swanky. The service was pretty good, but they were really busy and seemed it. Overall, it wasn't my favorite meal of the trip, but I love the concept, but I'd be happy to give it another shot if I'm back in Dublin sometime soon!

Great last Lunch In Ireland. Truly one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life. That bacon almost melted in its perfection. Crispy brioche bun and a lovely smokiness. Add in cool ambience & great service from our waiter Yin and it made for a fantastic meal!

Dressed Crab on focaccia

This is review after reopening has started in restaurants after the height of Covid. So a vaccination check was done upon entry. A very nice and trendy place to have dinner in downtown Dublin, recommend making a booking. We drove into town on Saturday night and can report to you one of the easiest parking was Setanta garage, about a block away. Street parking is near impossible. Their signature Featherblade steak which was ordered by two of us at the table was perfectly cooked as if by sous vide it was even throughout with a perfect charring. My wife got the Miso Hangar which also tasty as expected in a steakhouse I had the Fried Chicken, Curry Leaf Mayo which was looks like plain chicken tenders until you cut into it and dip it it with the sauce and it all comes together beautifully. I also had the dressed crab on toasted focaccia. Crab was nice, fluffy and delicate and on a toasted yet soft focaccia We also shared several sides like Truffle Mac & cheese, Creamed Spinach, and Charred Broccoli, Garlic, Chilli. All of these were superb.

Nice place to sit outside and enjoy typical steak sides. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mac and cheese. The creamed spinach was good, not great. I ordered a ribeye and it was not what I expected. I don't recommend it. No marbling and not well seasoned. However, I totally recommend the Featherblade steak. It was delicious and well seasoned. Friendly staff who were able to find us a seat despite not having reservations.

We had an excellent steak at Featheblades. Cooked to perfection and the sides were perfect. The service was top notch. This is a restaurant not to miss while in Dublin. Nice and cosy place to eat.

On our three week trip to Scotland and Ireland, our last three days were spent in Kilkenny…read more Our apartment just happens to be above the Butcher restaurant. We arrived early in the afternoon, and once the restaurant opened, we were provided with free smells of wonderfully cooking beef. Our plans were to go explore Kilkenny, looking for a place to eat, as the Butcher did not have any available seats. As l've done with other cities around Scotland and Ireland, I walked in, asked Camila if there were any seats available for four, she said we have one available right now. I scurried back and got the rest of the crew, and we were provided with a wonderful meal. We all chose the daily special, which was a 12 ounce ribeye, which we shared between each couple. We also added in salads, as well as grilled vegetables and sautéed mushrooms. All aspects of the meal were really good. I don't recall the name of the server, but he was very good, along with everybody else on the team who were always paying attention, and provided you with anything you needed at a moment's notice. The restaurant was very busy, and I'm surprised we were able to get a table, but Camila did a great job. Great vibe in the place. A bit noisy at first, but a couple large / loud tables settled their bills and left. Quite pleasant then. Thank you!

But the hostess was an absolute gem. She had even tried calling me and still held our table. That kind of kindness already made me a fan before I even sat down. The food was incredible. I'm not usually into beans, but theirs were so good I kept going back for more. The scallops were perfectly cooked, sweet and tender. And the steak... wow. The flavor was out of this world. I've had some great steaks in my life, but this one took the cake. Every bite was rich, juicy, and unforgettable. I ate all over Ireland, and this was hands down my favorite meal of the trip. If you get the chance, do not miss The Butcher Grill.

Such a change from the last experience a year ago…read more We had 8:30 PM reservations. Arrived around 8:10 and were told to wait at the bar. No problem, it's NYE, we can wait for out booked time. Less than 5 minutes later we were lead to a table, not even time to order a drink! We shared everything. Ordered cocktails to begin with. They were ok, two different old fashioned drinks. We tried to order bone marrow, scallops, tuna tataki and a Caesar salad as starters. They were already out of the bone marrow and scallops. It's a holiday, you know there are reservations... what?! Poor management and planning!! They recommended the lamb kidneys... never had them before, super gross. I'll never do that again. It smelled like urine! We ordered the burger and 14 oz sirloin to share, medium rare on the steak. Polenta fries, and mashed potatoes. The polenta fries were outstanding! The burger was delicious! Smokey flavor, it was great. It came with huge steak fries, I prefer shoestring. The steak was not tender. Had a better steak sandwich at the Morrison for lunch. All in all, I will not be going back nor recommending this place. The wine I ordered never arrived, our water was never refilled. In fact, after the food arrived, we never saw anyone again!! When the check came with an obligatory 12.5% tip I missed it and paid. Once I noticed, I flipped out!! This was the worst service ever!! I double check tipping culture in Ireland before I complain. 10% is good for good service and bad service is ok to leave zero tip. So I asked for it back. They gave me credit for the tip but not the tax on tip. Unimpressed. Won't go again.

Hard to fault this restaurant on Saint Stephens Green. I came for the first time on a recent trip…read more It feels like Luxury as soon as you walk in. You get escorted to the downstairs bar which has great cocktails. Then for the main event I got the fillet steak. Was top notch and it comes with incredible sides. These sides are so huge that you could never finish by yourself. That makes it great value. The dessert was literally the best cheesecake I have ever had. It's the Oreo cheesecake, and it was incredibly soft and smooth. Again huge portion to share. This is great spot for a special occasion. Definitely coming back.

First, I have to apologize for the awful photos. I'm not…read moresure if it was the lighting or user error, but I could not take a good photo in this beautiful venue. We were referred to Shanahan's by American friends. This is a classic American steakhouse, and had I realized that, I would have chosen a more authentically Irish restaurant. The meal and service were fantastic, but I'm not sure this would rank in my top steakhouse experiences. Our steak was not cooked medium rare - it was almost medium well. While everything was delicious, nothing stood out as unique other than the bread. That being said, a similar experience in the states would cost two times as much (think Morton's or Jeff Ruby's). The bread was fantastic, as were the scallops. As a southern American, the creamed corn was fantastic and as authentic as I've had anywhere (including the south). Our servers were incredibly attentive and the venue was beautiful. If you're from the USA... I'd pass and leave the experience to European tourists who want the American steakhouse experience. No complaints, just not what we typically look for when traveling international (which is entirely our fault). This is a very post place and reservations are a must.
