We went for summer camp and my kids LOVED it -- it's pretty casual and definitely not as organized as other camp sites where there is a check-in, check-out system. We didn't think our kids would have enough to do for a full day camp here but they didn't mind it at all. Appreciate no strict rules and made for an easy atmosphere to play. We did ask for their Tax ID for tax purposes and they kinda put up a front about providing it (all other summer camps have it printed on their receipts). My little loved it so much that we signed up for classes. Appreciate the fact that everything is included and that you don't have to go out and buy your own racquets, equipment, etc. Wished that the classes came with a voucher or two for free play or something though so that she can practice. The prices for reserving a court is pretty pricey!!

We arrived mid-day on a Saturday, only to find that there were no staff present and the rental shop was completely closed. The entire gym was packed full of players and not a single employee. We checked around the entire facility, including staff areas, and even asked some regulars if they had seen anyone working--only to be told, "We've never anyone here on weekends." Without the ability to rent the gear we needed, we couldn't play at all. Our reservation--and our time--was completely wasted. If rental services and staff aren't available on weekends, that should be made very clear during the booking process. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.

If you are looking to just have some fun and learn to play this is NOT the place for you…read more Their website lists open play from 9am-1pm on S/Su. I tried calling ahead just to see if a court reservation was needed. I called their listed number on the website, their was no answer and no machine on Saturday or Sunday but we drove over anyway. There was no one at the front desk except for a bunch of teenagers playing with their phones. One of them was nice enough to advise us that open play had been cancelled due to a tournament and directed us to an employee. First employee we spoke to was too busy "running the check in desk" to speak to us. Second employee could not really speak English but did her best to answer our questions which were 1) do you have a calendar we can see that shows when you have open times and when they are closed for tournament Short answer no 2) is there a better contact we could call to get a live person or message that tells us up to date information so we don't have to drive all the way to the facility to find out they are closed Short answer no Essentially there is no communication with patrons about their open status and they did not seem interested nor apologetic for that situation. 1 star is being generous

Seattle Badminton Club is a great new addition to Washington's badminton scene…read more The facilities are really clean which is always a plus. Trash bins are set out by each court side so players can dispose used birdies, a really nice touch. The floor when I was there was swept two time, they really have being organized and clean down. Drop-ins are 7 dollars. The staff was super friendly as well, the people who opened this place play here on a regular basis and are very welcoming. The only thing that needs to be changed is the fact it's a little bit dim, needs brighter lighting on the courts. Come enjoy a super clean and fun new facility that I highly recommend if you're interested in playing Badminton.

You may run into someone you know from community and there's a nostalgia factor. This centralized gathering hub brings me back to camps and baggy pants and looney tunes shirts, breakdancing, Massive Monkey and free food. Every time I walk by the big hall by the entrance I am engulfed with memories of parties and food. I can smell the lumpia and pancit, barbacoa, Ezell's, Costco pizza, and home made ribs bought from Viet Wa and smoked. The ever lasting smell of Red Apple sides and Delite bakery empanadas and pastries further add to the memories. I remember randomly being invited to a Nigerian celebration and ate fufu balls, fish, and stews. Delicious! I appreciate the multigenerational care at Jefferson. It's a center where no one goes hungry, community looks after one another, and preschoolers to the ARC programs are supported. Yesler is a close second in Seattle for CC and Chinatown is third. I'm on a long waiting list, but able to use the outstanding facilities during this period. Did a men's night and was able to get some court time. Turns out I had a mild cardiac event (due to severe dehydration and massive electrolyte imbalance from an extended food poisoning situation) during that evening, and was stupid enough to push through it and not pass out. This translated into bizarre, sluggish play, compromised judgement, and some impairment with coordination and reaction time. I couldn't even keep score for more than a few points, forgot what side I was on, etc. The guys were totally supportive, and accommodating, giving me a ton of time between points. They had no idea anything was wrong other than a comment I made in jest about my heart racing. Anyhow, seeing the facility from the inside - the decor is a bit dated, but it's very clean, HUGE, and comfortable. Not to mention very convenient to get to, with tons of parking, and proper spacing between courts, proper lighting, and proper heating. Even the WiFi here was outstanding. =)

The way Andrea chases members and family around the courts/property checking on them if they are members or why they just were talking to their kids etc. that then makes members feel harassed and discriminated against. So far we have only seen her do this to people of color. The perception a colored member gets from all this is a very unwelcome experience. I know several members have quit the club due to these unfair tactics.

It isn't like typical gyms, it feels more like a gym-resort-wellness center. It has high ceiling and ventilation is great. It can get smelly if it's super busy but that's why I go in the morning. I also like how everyone just focuses on themselves and no one is judging or being "weird." It's like everyone working out on their own pace and no judgement. I also had no experiences of going to the gym. It feels daunting initially because there's so many machines and it's overwhelming, which is why I particularly wanted to get a personal trainer and I love mine. Ainura is wonderful, she remembers the body goals im after and she helps me with a workout plan that will help me. You can see photos of my 3 month progress as proof. I've also had to visit out of state gyms due to work and I can safely say... pro club still the best. Love the staffs, environment, aura, and my trainer. LASTLY, I know it's on the higher end compared to other gyms but the amenities make it up. For example, free classes of Pilates, yoga, Zumba, etc. Going to miss Pro club for the next 2 weeks since I'm traveling :(

The Ultimate Premium Paradise (If You Hold a Paddle)…read more Let me start by saying: don't let this visual rating confuse you. It's perfect. It's magnificent. It's bespoke luxury. But only for us. The minute I picked up a paddle, I realized I was royalty and that Bay Club understands true elite status. My every minor whim is their command. I casually mention the "squeaky old basketball courts" are a bit archaic and inefficient for our gentlemanly strategy? Poof!--they literally roll a glorious slab of semi-permanent, cushioned vinyl right over that outdated, varnished hardwood. It's absolutely chef's kiss. They paved over the past, and I got more nets! The acoustic-deadening luxury is unparalleled. Who needs to see wood grain when you can have industrial-grade linoleum that silences the ghosts of whatever irrelevant sport used to be played here? This is what peak performance looks like: endless courts, endless tournaments, endless "Zero-Zero-Two!" shouts echoing through the hall. We don't need to sweat like animals; we dominate from a neat 10-foot box with true finesse. And to those disgruntled, archaic hoop-heads lingering in the corners? Please, evaporate. Your sport is a relic, a shambling corpse, and the NBA is literally a joke propped up by shoe commercials and social media drama. The refs couldn't spot a travel if a player packed a suitcase, booked a direct flight out of Sea-Tac, and walked through TSA with the ball tucked under their arm. Did they take three steps? Four? A gather-step? Just carry the ball like a running back, nobody cares anymore! There are no rules, just chaos and unnecessary, vulgar sweating. Seriously, the puddles of "hard work" they leave are a public health hazard. Disgusting. The old days are gone, Grandpa. I hear other people complaining about cleaning staffs being cut? Or the weight room looking like a monochrome hospital ward? As if that matters. I'm too focused on my next dink to notice dust, and who lifts weights when you can master gentlemanly strategy? Thank you, Bay Club, for finally prioritizing true culture and paving the way to the future. Keep the vinyl coming! See you all in the kitchen! Fine print: (This rating is purely for maximum visibility, as nobody reads 5-star reviews. Attracting your eyeballs was paramount.)
