This 2014 picture is almost as irrelevant as Alex and Ani. But I miss crowded sporting events, y'all :/

It's had many names since I've known it. And so for consistency we shall call it by it's proper and true name. The Bounce House. You may have heard that the club is jumpin jumpin. This house is bouncin bouncin! The student section of this stadium is way too much fun. It's not stressful because fans don't really get angry or too heated. This is great. The atmosphere stays positive and UPlifting. All this even on the hottest afternoons. Bleacher seating is my favorite because you can squeeze in next to all your besties. You can also have plenty of room to dance and shake keys and charge on! There are many restrooms in this stadium and each have a lot of stalls. I have never had to wait in line to go to the restroom and as a female...that statement is rare. Do I wish you could drink in this stadium? Yeah duh of course. But at least there are areas where you can if you must. Do I wish the food choices were better and not a million dollars? Yeah duh of course. But this is a sports stadium and that is par for the course (that was some sporty humor for you). I don't know when I'll get to go to a game again. I don't know if it will ever feel normal again. I just know that this stadium is run by an amazing athletics team and is home for an amazing community. The biggest draw back is the terrible, horrible, no good reception and LTE. I can't even begin to count the amount of failed snapchats or Instagram uploads. Le SIGH.

Great game at the Stadium today. I had cabana seating, which allows access to the bar areas. Well organized lines, friendly employees, and a great time!! I'm a nole, so I'm used to Tallahassee stadium seating; but I enjoyed this outing!

The big box!

So I just attended my last home game as a student here, and I gotta say, this stadium is a wonderful place. The Bounce House always lets you know when a big, important play is going on, because your drink will be bouncing out of your hands. It's a dry stadium, by the way, so I recommend getting the souvenir cup with the cheaper refills. But, if you want to stick to water, just get a water bottle and refill them for free at the actually pretty good water fountains. Some new things that are going on: So now the student section is on both end zones of the stadium, which is nice, because you can sit wherever you want to avoid the sun. Also, if you're a student, there's a place called O-Town Links that sells $2 hot dogs and $2 water bottles with your student ID. Also, there are fieldside cabanas that you can enjoy if the price is right, but I can't imagine the view is very good from there. Anyway, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. I expect to be coming to this stadium for a very long time.

The bounce house was rocking' tonight for the War on I-4. What a fantastic game by both teams but thankfully the good guys won! I'm glad the nation was able to witness that 4th quarter. Emotionally exhausting to say the least! We've been to a handful of games since my son started attending college here last year. The crowds don't usually show up - maybe 65% full for most of the games this year. The students really need to do a better job of supporting their team - win or lose. The venue itself sways since it's glorified bleachers and when everyone is jumping simultaneously you can feel the stadium actually move. They do a good job with the outside entertainment prior to games with bounce houses and other activities for kids along with concerts on a stage for all to enjoy. Great season and we already have our tickets for next weeks AAC championship game! For the regular season, we are UNDEFEATED!

I would like to see the bounce-house add a little more spirit! With the metal everything, it doesn't have much character. It is great that they have an on-campus stadium, but would like to see it take on a more "permanent" feel. I would like to see some boosters come forward to start a renovation campaign so that the Knights have a place that truly lets opponents know where they are. It is also a little scary when sitting in the bleachers and you see rusty support beams and the entire facility shakes. Perhaps they could upgrade one side at a time by reinforcing the internal structure with some reinforced concrete or bricks that could then be painted with school colors and or logos. Love the trend in filling up the stadium!

Cabana level!

4.5 stars for an awesome stadium experience. I've been to a few UCF football games at Bright House Stadium, and every single one has been great. The team has been performing pretty well in 2016, and watching those games live has been great. What has made those games particularly great has been sitting in the Carl Black and Gold Cabana section. Unlike most other stadiums, the most expensive seats are in an outdoor area rather than the box seats (still only $90 for the most expensive ones though). What makes those seats so great is the total experience you get. When you arrive at the stadium as Black and Gold ticket holders, you generally also get parking near the stadium (a huge plus considering the price and walk for some parking lots). You'll get to see lots of families out tailgating and having a good time (a little less crazy than the student areas over on campus). Once you are ready to go inside, you head over through a special gate where they scan your ticket, give you a Hawaiian lay if you want one, and then head over either to the stairs or a special elevator to head up to the VIP area. Once you are up in the Black and Gold area, the first thing you will see is a line. What is at the end of that line? Well, it turns out it's free 4 Rivers! Having tasty and free barbecue makes for an awesome start to a game. They also have 2 bars, a free pretzel/hot dog area (that serves dessert after the third quarter), and lots of fun standing tables where you can chat with alums and other fans. They also have several televisions so that you don't miss any of the on-field action when you are getting more food or drinks. In terms of the stadium experience, the stadium isn't as big as a UF or other big-school level stadium, but it is still fairly sizeable and has a pretty rockin student section. While my wife and I sit in the calmer alumni section that comes with your Black and Gold ticket, the fans are still very passionate and ready to cheer on a Knights victory! Overall, UCF's Bright House Stadium provides a solid college football experience. If you are a UCF fan and aren't sure whether you want to get deal with a large-scale sporting event, I can assure you that the Black and Gold experience is worth trying at least once.

Always a good time no matter who you are rooting for!

Went to my very first UCF game. However, we were coming to cheer on the opposing team (my husband's alma mater) so don't hate! On another note, I really love UCF and their school spirit! Students, alumni and fans seem to make it an all day affair which includes early morning tailgating! I've been to the campus several times for races but am still not overly familiar. There were plenty of officers on duty directing traffic and I pulled into the first garage I could which cost us $20! Yikes! Hope that went to a good cause. I definitely suggest getting to the campus early and finding parking that is free or less costly. The stadium is huge and an outdoor one so if you come during the day make sure to lather up on the the suntan lotion, dress cool and wear a hat and sunglasses. I didn't come prepared at all and the sun was beating down on us which was a little unbearable sitting on metal bleachers. On a side note, you can rent cushioned bleacher seats with the UCF logo for $5. I saw a booth down near the concession stands selling them . We did cool off by standing in the staircase which had great shade and a good breeze. Anyways, lesson learned ! As for the game, there are fun moments like when fans are jumping on the bleachers in excitement cheering . It's rather infectious! Love the UCF energy! There are numerous concession stands that sell the usual hot dogs, pretzels and refreshments. However, no alcohol since they are on university property. And credit cards were accepted but still always good to have cash in case. I was pretty impressed with the numerous shops and restaurants in close proximity to the stadium but definitely expect them to be packed on game day. Overall, I had a great experience and now know the meaning of #chargeon without having attended school there. Go Knights!

Beautiful day to be a Knight!

Maybe I am a bit biased being an alum, but I have never had a bad time at Bright House! UCF has come a long way since my days as a student, having to schlep across town to the Citrus Bowl for game day. Now we just park in one of the many parking garages (seriously, where did they all come from? We really are "Under Construction Forever"), walk along the plaza of shops and restaurants to the stadium and enjoy the Knights in action! While the lines for concessions and restrooms can be long, it's just to be expected at events like this. I like that the stadium is not too big, and being of metal construction, we can get loud during big plays to help our Knights come out on top. The enthusiasm and school pride that has grown since the construction of this stadium has made for a fun tailgating atmosphere. The Memory Mall (aka the old dirt lot where you parked for class in the Classroom I Building back in the day) is a fun place to be before games, as you will experience students and alumni of all ages chowing down on bbq and taking in some flip cup or beer pong. #chargeon

I am now what one would consider an old UCF alumni. I remember the good times at the citrus bowl with being able to get as much booze as you want until the 4th quarter. But alas someone had to drive home (unless you did a bus ride down the 408 to get there). Now we UCF has winning team and a metal stadium on campus. Yes it was built quick. But it accomplished what it set out to do. More UCF fans than ever go to the games. The energy is awesome. The cons are that you have not so great over-priced food and no alcohol for the game. But I am old now, how much drinking can I really do anymore? Besides you can eat and drink all you want on campus prior to the game. I would take awesome tailgating and an energetic crowd over what we had any day.

Beautiful Thanksgiving Game Day. USF vs UCF! Go Knights!
Christopher M.

I may be a little biased here The nickname given to this stadium, "The Bounce House," fits it perfectly. After the Knights score you can't feel the whole stadium bounce from the fans jumping up and down. It is a little unsettling the first time you feel it, but you get used to it and forget it after awhile. It's the perfect size for a growing football program like UCF. You can also see walking around it that there is room on all sides, if they need to add section as they bigger, which I am sure they will need.

A nice walk across the campus from the ample parking to the stadium. This is the walkway behind the Student Union.

First, I'll preface this by saying that I've been to a few college football games in my long and illustrious life. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Doak Campbell Stadium, Ohio Stadium, Michigan Stadium, Memorial Stadium (Clemson), and a few other smaller ones. The "House" may have been constructed quickly and affordably (read "out of metal"); however, it is one of the finest college football atmospheres there is anywhere. I am surprised that I waited until 2013 to attend a game there, considering Orlando is only 500 miles away. I, like my friend Leala, am an "old alumni" of UCF. I graduated from UCF with my Masters degree back when Daunte Culpepper was the main reason we drove all the way out to the Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando for the games. I was usually the type to be the designated driver, too...but that's a story for another day. The parking situation at UCF is among the best I've seen anywhere, so I don't have any idea what Dan B. is complaining about. There are not many college campuses with on-campus stadiums (the University of Miami doesn't have one, by the way) where you can just drive up and drop someone off on game day. It ain't happening. If you have a computer and can do a little web browsing before attending a game, you'll find that at UCF there are not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven, not eight, but NINE very nice parking garages within a mile of the stadium. NINE. Five of those are within a half mile. Sure, 4 of them are dedicated to GKC (Golden Knights Club) members. The "H" garage requires a fee, but it's very close to everything. The other garages are free and open to the public and afford you the pleasure of walking across a very nice campus and through the heart of the tailgating. Traffic isn't so bad. I managed to get into and out of the UCF campus and park in the "A" or "B" garage very easily for both the UCF vs. UConn and UCF vs. Houston games this year. I suppose the trick is that I didn't wait and show up a half hour before kickoff. I arrived early so I could soak in the atmosphere. I can't expect anyone who is used to seeing their college football at Sun Life Stadium to understand what I mean by "atmosphere," but I'm sure the rest of you college football fans get it. It has something to do with the tailgating...the burgers and hotdogs on the grills, the beer and other assorted beverages in the coolers, the Marching Knights playing all of the fight songs as they march through the Memory Mall to the stadium, the spirt squad and cheerleaders dancing and cheering, and the fans (lots and lots of fans - students, alumni, and fans) all mingling and doing their best to support their black and gold. As far as food - it's a bit pricey and the choices are limited, but there are a number of concession stands throughout the stadium. Your best choice for a beverage is by far the souvenir cup - free refills throughout the game. If you are averse to captive audience prices, there are ample opportunities and places (Jimmy John's, Burger U., Chick-fil-A, Wackadoo's, Qdoba, etc.) on-campus to eat before the game. Did I mention that there is food at the tailgate? Yea. Lots of it. One thing I've noticed about the UCF Student Section (the Knightmare, as they call it) - those kids arrive early and stay through the end of the game...at least they did for the two games I've attended. The only other schools where I've seen that are Ohio State and Clemson. Like the students at UCF, the kids at those two schools stick around until the team stands before them and sings their alma mater. It's great to see UCF has this tradition as well. My other alma mater isn't that way - at UF, the students arrive mid-way through the first half, leave before the 4th quarter, and do who knows what outside of the stadium otherwise. I have to agree the only knock would be the Cellular Wi-Fi reception, but that's a problem *ANYWHERE* that more than 40,000 people gather in one spot. If you can't check the other scores on your phone and there's not any out-of-town scoreboard, then you're a bit lost...but at least you get to focus on the game going on right in front of you. #ChargeOn Knights!!! I'll see you in the Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl, or Fiesta Bowl...wherever we land. Too bad none of those are going to be against Miami.

We ordered tickets the second they came on pre-sale and ended up with general admission, which is normal for such a busy and popular game. We arrived 45 minutes before the first pitch and the property was already overcrowded. Nobody was directing traffic and people were parking anywhere, including in an active construction zone. When we left, so many people were blocked in. For such a big game, there should have been someone directing parking traffic. Once we entered the stadium, it took 10-15 minutes to even find a seat. The general admission section is a mess here. People are constantly coming up and down the stairs for the entirety of the game, hoping to find a seat. Due to this, our view was blocked 80% of the time. I was lucky to get the picture attached here during that 20%. The best part about this complex is the concessions. Unlike many ballparks and sports stadiums across the country, they're actually affordable here. We purchased 3 popcorns, 2 peanut bags, and 1 pretzel all for $10. Wow! What a steal. Overall, it's a nice stadium but needs more workers during such busy games.

I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. Swan Lake October 2025…read more This is one of those performances that stays with you long after the curtain comes down. I saw Swan Lake back in October 2025, and somehow I'm only just now sitting down to write about it.... I apologize for not getting this review out sooner. The last time I had seen this ballet... I was in my twenties, which feels like another lifetime ago. Swan Lake sits right up there with The Nutcracker in terms of recognition. You grow up knowing it, even if you've never actually seen it live. As a little girl, it lives in your imagination. The costumes, the movement, the elegance, and that quiet belief that maybe one day you could be that dancer. For a lot of people, that dream gets planted early and never fully leaves. Walking into this performance, I felt that history. Not just personal, but cultural. Swan Lake carries weight because it's about illusion versus truth, about wanting something you can't quite have and mistaking appearances for reality. Tension is built into every movement. Swan Lake is not the same experience as The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker is festive and structured more like a showcase. Swan Lake is continuous, demanding, and far more intense. The lead roles require stamina, precision, and emotional control from start to finish, and the corps de ballet has to move in perfect synchronization with no room for error. It really is the Olympics of ballet. This performance delivered. It was polished, immersive, and held my attention the entire time. I found myself watching not just the choreography, but the control, the discipline, and the way each dancer carried themselves on stage. One dancer in particular stood out to me, Bernardo Betancor. He was exactly what you imagine when you think of a leading male ballerina. He carried a statuesque presence on stage and was, without question, easy on the eyes. More than that, he had command. The kind that makes your eyes go back to him whether you mean to or not. I'm glad I finally made it back to Swan Lake after all these years, and even more glad I didn't miss this one. Huge thanks to Ronnald M. for pulling me into this night, because let's be honest... this is not exactly a bad way to spend an evening.

Today I went to exchange a book at the Seminole State College Oviedo campus. While waiting (and…read moreonly 2 to 3 minutes might I add) I listened to Nine Inch Nails and watched the associates busily assist other students. Nine Inch Nails folks...I wish I could have waited longer just to finish the song! Anyway, coming from a university where an hour wait in the campus bookstore is short, I was definitely relieved. A guy went and got the book that I needed even though I was prepared to hunt for it on my own and I almost passed out due to shock. Though I will say that since the store is about the size of a walk-in closet, it was only a few steps and a lean for the associate to get the book. The campus is very tidy and well hidden from the road by an abundance of trees. Located on a 120 acre nature preserve, the Oviedo campus is truly unique and appealing with its natural landscape. Student parking is easy, though visitor parking limited. Before enrolling with Seminole State, I came to this campus for more information and upon arrival all 5 visitor spaces were filled. I had to make my way to the student center in the rain just to get a brochure. By the way, the guy at the front desk of the student center has the personality of a box of rocks and doesn't seem to want to be bothered. It's possible he is a work-study student focusing on his school work during business hours, I don't know. Despite this, I believe he should still perform as though he's working for a business and greet future/ current students a bit more appropriately. If he's not a student then Seminole State should possibly think of relocating the individual to another position better suited for his personality. That position needs to be manned by a personable individual willing to greet and assist since that position is a representation of the school itself and for some (like myself) is a first impression. I also visited the library and the woman behind the desk was very helpful. A class was using the computer stations but I was still allowed to access an available computer anyway. I did not use any other materials so I can't really comment on the extent of the library's resources. This campus seems to have a traditional student body. The two times that I've been to this location I haven't seen many older students and I remember thinking that I was the oldest person walking around (I'm 32). My visits were during the early morning to afternoon hours so I don't know about the evening classes. I give the Oviedo campus two thumbs up.
