Why aren't you attending a UCF game at FBC Mortgage stadium?! While UCFs stadium is smaller than other schools with its two-tier metal structure, it is what gives it so much character... I mean it wouldn't "Bounce" as the fans cheer on their team in excitement if it was concrete! It really is an experience and I cherish it while it lasts! The smaller structure also means even the "nosebleeds" have a great view. The main scoreboard is positioned on the North end with the student sections at both end zones; the South end zone is where the main action for the student energy has remained. The cabana section on the east side of the stadium feels like a Lux, upgraded experience although why it doesn't have air conditioned restrooms is beyond me, they're comparable to other restrooms although they had a really nice display of free feminine products including I think hair ties available. Other than that they're like any other restroom in the stadium (maybe excluding the Tower), where I feel like I'm fighting for my life between the heat and humidity (ha), but really why? Concessions are concessions... although there are a few boutique options throughout that may change season to season, I've seen Sonny's BBQ, Flippers Pizzeria, cotton candy stand, a new addition of grab and go drinks (sounded better than it was), and Bonus! The stadium now serves adult beverages (beer, seltzer, etc.)! Anyway, I love the energy of this stadium every time I go to a game and the parking/traffic is well coordinated. Oh minus 1 star because they "supposedly" upgraded the network service and we still never have service in the stadium... GO KNIGHTS AND CHARGE ON!!

I have to take off a star because they did not accept American Express credit cards and/or cash at the concession stands. Prices were of course high, however, that's expected. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience and I can only recommend.

We ordered tickets the second they came on pre-sale and ended up with general admission, which is normal for such a busy and popular game. We arrived 45 minutes before the first pitch and the property was already overcrowded. Nobody was directing traffic and people were parking anywhere, including in an active construction zone. When we left, so many people were blocked in. For such a big game, there should have been someone directing parking traffic. Once we entered the stadium, it took 10-15 minutes to even find a seat. The general admission section is a mess here. People are constantly coming up and down the stairs for the entirety of the game, hoping to find a seat. Due to this, our view was blocked 80% of the time. I was lucky to get the picture attached here during that 20%. The best part about this complex is the concessions. Unlike many ballparks and sports stadiums across the country, they're actually affordable here. We purchased 3 popcorns, 2 peanut bags, and 1 pretzel all for $10. Wow! What a steal. Overall, it's a nice stadium but needs more workers during such busy games.

I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. The sound tends to be pretty good, the communication from the theatre is always amazing. They waive fees if you come to the box office to buy your tickets. The seats are comfy and almost every seat has a solid view. The box seats are the exception so be warned. The volunteers are always amazing and they are so nice. It would be cool if they opened a second location that served coffee because that line for espresso beverages is always really long. I love the breadth of show types. There's always something for everyone.

Swan Lake October 2025…read more This is one of those performances that stays with you long after the curtain comes down. I saw Swan Lake back in October 2025, and somehow I'm only just now sitting down to write about it.... I apologize for not getting this review out sooner. The last time I had seen this ballet... I was in my twenties, which feels like another lifetime ago. Swan Lake sits right up there with The Nutcracker in terms of recognition. You grow up knowing it, even if you've never actually seen it live. As a little girl, it lives in your imagination. The costumes, the movement, the elegance, and that quiet belief that maybe one day you could be that dancer. For a lot of people, that dream gets planted early and never fully leaves. Walking into this performance, I felt that history. Not just personal, but cultural. Swan Lake carries weight because it's about illusion versus truth, about wanting something you can't quite have and mistaking appearances for reality. Tension is built into every movement. Swan Lake is not the same experience as The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker is festive and structured more like a showcase. Swan Lake is continuous, demanding, and far more intense. The lead roles require stamina, precision, and emotional control from start to finish, and the corps de ballet has to move in perfect synchronization with no room for error. It really is the Olympics of ballet. This performance delivered. It was polished, immersive, and held my attention the entire time. I found myself watching not just the choreography, but the control, the discipline, and the way each dancer carried themselves on stage. One dancer in particular stood out to me, Bernardo Betancor. He was exactly what you imagine when you think of a leading male ballerina. He carried a statuesque presence on stage and was, without question, easy on the eyes. More than that, he had command. The kind that makes your eyes go back to him whether you mean to or not. I'm glad I finally made it back to Swan Lake after all these years, and even more glad I didn't miss this one. Huge thanks to Ronnald M. for pulling me into this night, because let's be honest... this is not exactly a bad way to spend an evening.

Today I went to exchange a book at the Seminole State College Oviedo campus. While waiting (and…read moreonly 2 to 3 minutes might I add) I listened to Nine Inch Nails and watched the associates busily assist other students. Nine Inch Nails folks...I wish I could have waited longer just to finish the song! Anyway, coming from a university where an hour wait in the campus bookstore is short, I was definitely relieved. A guy went and got the book that I needed even though I was prepared to hunt for it on my own and I almost passed out due to shock. Though I will say that since the store is about the size of a walk-in closet, it was only a few steps and a lean for the associate to get the book. The campus is very tidy and well hidden from the road by an abundance of trees. Located on a 120 acre nature preserve, the Oviedo campus is truly unique and appealing with its natural landscape. Student parking is easy, though visitor parking limited. Before enrolling with Seminole State, I came to this campus for more information and upon arrival all 5 visitor spaces were filled. I had to make my way to the student center in the rain just to get a brochure. By the way, the guy at the front desk of the student center has the personality of a box of rocks and doesn't seem to want to be bothered. It's possible he is a work-study student focusing on his school work during business hours, I don't know. Despite this, I believe he should still perform as though he's working for a business and greet future/ current students a bit more appropriately. If he's not a student then Seminole State should possibly think of relocating the individual to another position better suited for his personality. That position needs to be manned by a personable individual willing to greet and assist since that position is a representation of the school itself and for some (like myself) is a first impression. I also visited the library and the woman behind the desk was very helpful. A class was using the computer stations but I was still allowed to access an available computer anyway. I did not use any other materials so I can't really comment on the extent of the library's resources. This campus seems to have a traditional student body. The two times that I've been to this location I haven't seen many older students and I remember thinking that I was the oldest person walking around (I'm 32). My visits were during the early morning to afternoon hours so I don't know about the evening classes. I give the Oviedo campus two thumbs up.

I finished my bachelors in Human Communication and decided to stay on for my Masters. The professors here are wonderful. I've never been anywhere with such a collection of smart, caring people. The professors I've had have all been passionate about helping each student improve their lifelong communication skills. Every UCF student has to take an Oral Communication course, but I recommend taking more classes at NSC, regardless of your major. The classes that I have learned the most from are Conflict Management and Interpersonal Communication. I wish they were required for all students- we would have a much more civil community. If you are trying to decide on major that will help your career, try some NSC classes to see if Communication is right for you!
